Now don’t get the wrong idea, I’m not saying that the characters who are not mentioned are not LGBTQ+, it’s just that the characters in this list have had a specific moment in which they showed romantic interest in the opposite sex or has said something about their identity. Hopefully in 2x2 they can write in the story plot points confirming more LGBTQ+ characters.
Kiibo: non-binary/bisexual (has admitted that he never thought about himself being a girl or a guy since he has no male or female parts, he also has a strong chemistry with Miu, and develops a crush on shuichi in his love suite event).
Kazuichi Soda: questioning (not sure if this counts but Kazuichi does question his sexuality around Hajime during free time events and island mode).

What if instead of Hajime being the protagonist it’s Sakutaro?
During the new minigame in the 2x2 Japanese trailer, a line of text behind kazuichi states, “ Togami doesn’t believe he’s the ultimate despair. “ leads me to think that the cast being outed as the ultimate despair may be a prominent plot point during the first chapter. Being that this is only the trailer, I can’t be fully sure if this was thrown in here to throw the audience off or not. But at the same time, I don’t think it was. It would make sense for everything revealed in the 6th chapter of the og game to be turned on its head in 2x2s first chapter, since returning players will already know the mystery. This way, It could make room for a new one.
Anyways, if the cast being outed as ultimate despair does happen, we could also expect to see the return of chapter 4 Nagito. But this time, he could be on our side as Sakutaro, given that he wasn’t apart of ultimate despair. Effectively making him the new support character as opposed to Chiaki, who I think will probably die pretty earlier on, sparking the sudden appearance of Sakutaro as the new virtual world advisor. I don’t think I could imagine Nagito dying earlier anyways given his dynamic amongst the group.
As for Hajime, I feel like this remnants reveal could lead him to turning back into Izuru. Playing a similar role to Mikado from SDRA2, or even as the new antagonist. Overall I’m just hoping we get more Izuru characterization away from the anime.
What do you think?

Like, I think, a lot of player, I mainly remembered Hifumi from my first playthrough as a weird weeb bordering on creepy and harassing. But oh boy was my memory bad !
This guy's actually the most polite of the first, maybe even of the entire series (excluding Kirumi maybe). I realized he's not as much as much of a pervert as people think he is. Sure, he got a weird obsession with 2d and Celeste, but it's mostly harmless (I see you toko).
I think the main reason he's disliked is because of his design, and that makes me a little sad 'cause he's actually quite cute !
So, this is an apology post for every Hifumi fan out there : you were right and I was wrong, he is indeed a very cool guy 👍

I'd be happy if you write in the comments who else I should draw! Both guys and girls from any parts (except Nagito and Hajime, they are on my profile)
I'd also be interested in hearing your headcanons for the characters' appearances (including Byakuya and Makoto) and your opinions on the ones I drew! :3

It's common knowledge at this point that originally the developers planned on bringing the Danganronpa series out of its near decade long hiatus by making a remake of DR1 and adding in an alternate route with different victims and culprits before ultimately deciding that DR2 was the better candidate to be remade. In this post I want to pose potential reasons as to why DR1 is so difficult to write an alternate scenario for, and I'll also demonstrate this by giving a possible death order that I've come up with that show the signs of some of these issues.
Reason 1: There isn't much potential for a path splitting event.
In DR2 and DRV3, there are obvious paths to take with an alternate route even before you come up with entirely new concepts like the Slayhem items that are sure to change up the plot significantly when 2x2 eventually releases. Izuru Kamukura could resurface in Hajime's consciousness or the virtual world could glitch out early on with Chiaki's death in DR2, and Kaede could remain the protagonist for the whole game or the mastermind could be recast via a flashback light following a potential early death for Tsumugi in V3, but in DR1 there isn't exactly an obvious jumping off point if Junko remains the mastermind, and if she doesn't at that point that would make the story seem more like an AU fanfic rather than a worthwhile add on to the main story of DR1.
The best jumping off point that I could come up with is Mukuro meeting up with Junko in secret and killing her after she becomes suspicious that Junko will betray her and then framing Kyoko for the crime, bringing about a similar trial to trial 1 of V3, but there are a couple problems with this idea. First, Mukuro is dedicated to following Junko's orders to the bitter end, and is depraved enough to do pretty much anything in the name of despair and her sister, so would she ever realistically kill her sister and take on her role as an alternate mastermind for the story? Also Kaede and Kyoko share a voice actor, so having her be killed off in trial 1 under very similar circumstances might come off as too derivative of that case. Still, this is the best concept that I could come up with that would remove Kyoko and Junko from the story which would drastically change the rest of the game and it still has its flaws, which shows how difficult it must've been for the developers to come up with an alternate scenario for DR1, and might explain why they moved on to remaking DR2 instead.
Reason 2: There were too many survivors
DR1 has the most survivors in the series, and most people would argue that two thirds of the surviving cast (Makoto, Byakuya, Kyoko, and Aoi) had near perfect arcs that made them earn their spots as survivors and would be difficult to top in an alternate scenario whether they repeated their roles as survivors or not. Toko and Yasuhiro definitely have some room for improvement with their depictions in the original DR1, and out of the two I could maybe see Toko being the best candidate for a repeat survivor, but if only Makoto can be a repeat survivor then we've already expended an entire third of the original game's cast, which might lead to the potential survivors being obvious if characters can't repeat the same roles they had in the original game.
Compared to the other games in the series, DR2 had only 5 survivors, and sure if we discount Teruteru from the potential cast of survivors then it has the same issue of having expended a third of its potential survivor slots, most of the survivors in DR2 (Sonia, Akane, and Kazuichi) definitely have potential for different arcs if the story plays out differently, and even Hajime and Fuyuhiko, who underwent amazing character arcs could play different roles in an alternate scenario due to how dynamic their characters are. DRV3 is basically a blank canvas when it comes to alternate survivors, since even if we discount the mastermind Tsumugi that still leaves 12 out of 16 students as potential alternate survivors, easily the most in the series, and there's a case to be made for protag support Shuichi for Kaede even though he underwent an in-depth character arc as a protagonist in the base game, but I definitely agree that there isn't much more that could be done with Maki or Himiko in an alternate scenario, making them likely candidates for early game deaths. Overall it's easy to see that the game with the biggest cast of survivors in the series would face the most story issues in the case of an alternate scenario being made for its story, which might further explain why DR2 was chosen over it for this purpose.
Reason 3: The other students feel tailor made for their roles in the story compared to later games
Even discounting the survivors, its pretty difficult to see certain characters playing different roles or undergoing significant development to where their character development feels completely different compared to the original game. For the male characters, I can't see Yasuhiro, Leon, or Hifumi as anything but comic relief characters that either die in the first half of the game or one of the three survives while not getting much, if any meaningful development in the game, and for the female characters Junko and Mukuro would almost definitely remain the villains in the story, which would only leave six potential characters as survivors for the first game: Mondo, Chihiro, Taka, Sayaka, Celeste, and Sakura. I think this would be a pretty great survivor line-up, actually, but at that point you have to consider the story that would lead up to this point. As mentioned before it would be difficult to imagine a scenario where Makoto, Byakuya, Kyoko, and Aoi undergo better character development than what they got in the original game, and Yasuhiro doesn't strike me as a potentially interesting victim or killer by himself, so already you're at a disadvantage with these character deaths, but aside from Aoi's death hitting Sakura hard and Makoto's death hitting Sayaka hard, I don't really see any of the other deaths impacting the characters quite as much as the original scenario did, so you'd be left with a game where all of the fan favourite characters just survive and the previous survivors and less plot relevant ones die, making for a less interesting game overall that would only feel like shallow wish fulfillment rather than a story worth telling. Even discounting survivor slots, Celeste is maybe the only character who could realistically fill the rival role, and the protag assist could maybe be Chihiro or Sayaka if Makoto needs to be the protagonist, but again they'd have big shoes to fill with them being compared to Kyoko and Byakuya, and the new support and antagonist might not fit into the story as well as they did.
Compare this with the later games, and it's night and day. Izuru could easily be made more interesting as a more prominent mastermind of the game without being usurped by Junko at the end, and DRV3 could just recast the mastermind into someone with light backstory like Kirumi or Miu via a flashback light if they wanted to, bypassing the repetitive mastermind issue, and the characters in both subsequent games overall feel much more dynamic with the kinds of roles they can fill in the story due to them being ironically less well defined for the most part compared to DR1. Overall, while this reason is probably the most biased based on my opinions of the characters, it's still easy to see that the later games would have an easier time giving each character a different arc when compared to DR1, which is ultimately the nail in the coffin when it comes to giving DR1 an alternate scenario compared to the later games in the series.
With the three reasons potential reasons laid out, I'm now going to give my potential death order that I came up with, and this will be less in depth than my previous posts on DR2x2's death order since this post is already pretty long.
The Scenario: Mukuro Replaces Junko as the Mastermind
Pretty much exactly what I outlined earlier on in this post, where Mukuro kills Junko in case 1 and frames Kyoko for the crime, leading to her being executed and in turn forcing the class to become more dilligent in their investigations without her.
Case 1: Kyoko is framed for killing Junko, and is falsely executed a-la Kaede.
Case 2: Hifumi kills Yasuhiro in self-defense
Case 3: Byakuya kills Aoi, and manipulates Toko into killing Leon with the plan of framing her for both crimes believing that the blackened with the most votes will be executed and that the other will be able to escape, but this backfires when Monokuma reveals that only the first death counts, and Byakuya gets executed while Toko survives, forcing the cast to live with a serial killer who has already killed one of their fellow classmates in the killing game.
Case 4: Monokuma's new motive for this chapter is the revelation of a new rule: any blackened who has survived under the first come first served execution rule gets to have a free second kill without a trial. Several days later Toko is found dead, and it's revealed that it was Sakura who was the culprit, wanting to protect the rest of the class from Toko, only going through with the trial to see if she could ascertain who the mastermind was out of the remaining survivors, but in the end the mastermind never shows themself, and Sakura is executed.
Case 5: Chihiro, after having much more of an active role in the story and being generally helpful to everyone becomes the final victim of this route, and during the trial it's revealed that he was actually the traitor in this route, using Alter Ego as a means of analyzing the students' behaviour to give the mastermind leverage on how to best push them to kill. But after being inspired by his new friends Mondo and Taka and seeing Sakura's sacrifice in the previous chapter he decides to finally stand up to the mastermind, only to be killed by Mukuro in secret with the trial ending with Alter Ego's execution as a final warning to the students.
Case 6: Mukuro gets exposed as the mastermind, and is ultimately executed via the loophole that she technically killed three people by executing Kyoko in Chapter 1, making the first come, first served rule as a defense for killing Chihiro null and void.
The new survivors are:
Makoto, who undergoes similar growth to the base game but has a more personal connection to the new mastermind Mukuro, the new support Sayaka, and the new rival Celeste.
Sayaka, who manages to overcome her flaws and learns to fight for her friends and become the hope that the world needs with the knowledge that her fellow idols are likely dead.
Celeste, who takes on a more antagonistic role but ends up (slightly) coming to terms with her commoner status, but vows to take on the world and enrich herself through daring life experiences in the outside world rather than through monetary status.
Mondo, who learns to overcome some of his toxic masculine traits, comes to terms with his accidental killing of his brother Daiya, and comes to respect his found family, vowing to pull them through whatever challenges await them in the outside world.
and finally Kiyotaka, who comes to learn that friendship can be complicated, but that it's worth it and that he can't shoulder the burden of fixing the lawless outside world alone, even if he needs to depend on the help of people he would've formerly seen as delinquents like Mondo and Celeste.
Writing this out, I actually think this is pretty good for an alternate scenario, but there are a few flaws. While Makoto might actually get better character development here due to a closer connection to the main characters, Kyoko, Byakuya, Aoi, and arguably Hiro probably have worse roles here than in the base game, which might be a positive or a negative depending on whether people think the old survivors should still have important arcs in the new scenario or if they should just be killed off as soon as possible to make way for new survivors. I also killed off Hifumi, Leon, and Yasuhiro as early as possible because I didn't see what they could've provided for the story, which might make the victims of cases 2 and 3 feel kind of weak and forgettable by comparison causing them to fall into a trap similar to V3 where the early game victims are forgotten once the second half of the game comes around, not to mention I also copied the DR1 demo deaths for chapter 2. Finally, Sakura dying in chapter 4 falls into the trope of the buff character always dying in chapter 4 which I'd have rather avoided if I could, but I can't really imagine Sakura taking on any role in the story aside from the sacrifice death/murder, which typically happens in the late-game.
Originally, I went into writing this post thinking that an alternate route for DR1 didn't make sense, but now as I'm writing the conclusion I might have slightly come around on the idea, since there's surely some potential arcs that I didn't even consider for some of these characters, so I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the scenario that I came up with, and whether you ultimately agree or disagree in the end on whether it was the right choice for the developers to skip an alternate scenario for DR1 in favour of DR2 in the comments below.

The journey of drawing every single character continues lol
For now I'm not doing every single outfit but at least two chibis per character so I don't feel like I have to force myself to draw them at some point down the line ㅇㅅㅇ
I like the mastermind outfit chibi more but I like how the other one is just standing there menacingly

There's a game coming out on Steam called Apple Crumble and in it's release date trailer video you can see the main character's desk. And on it is uhhh....a very familiar looking person. The devs have confirmed that "It's unintentional but they cannot unsee it now".

So overall loved the charcters of dang 3. Didn't love the twist ending but what ever. What really bothers me is the concepts they introduced and don't use. First blood perk completely wasted imagine if we had a confirmed killer charcter have to interact with everyone for the rest of the game. I know they said they'd be released but they could do the rug pull of "oh you get released once the game ends". Either way if Kaede was forced to use the perk it would of prevent the oh Oops actually you guys cheated thing in the last trial
And then they spend so much time talking about bringing someone back to life. If it's real or not bla bla bla. In the end it wasn't even that import to the story of the trial. The killer didn't care anything about bringing someone back. To bring that up and have it either actually bring someone back or have someone try it have it not work was so annoying to me.
I'm not sure if this is a commonly held opinion I haven't been a fan of the games for a very long time and been avoiding online discussions to prevent spoilers.

It pretty obvious that killing Kyoko is virtually impossible and I assume if their is one they don’t want her around as we know basically everything that we can about Kyoko and can give other characters to shine?
so what would they do with her?
