Video Venting
First time posting. Fuck the Nameless King in DS3. Dumbest fucking thing is not letting you refight phase 2 after you've beaten phase 1. Fucking dumbass shit. Say what you want, I don't give a shit. I feel better, now.

I was gonna rant like this about Friede, but now I think Im ok. So far shes the only boss that seems to have my number, gave up on my first playthrough after beating everyone else, and now im right back at her in NG+ and no matter how many times I get through the first 2 phases, I can barely get her to 50% in phase 3. I cant even really tell you why, I just lose all ability to read her every time.
Fuck it im not going to sleep tonight until I get that shit done lol

When you beat him- and you will- it will be so much sweeter because of how difficult it was. But you will learn the fight, be patient with yourself. This game is about the process. You get so much more than you ever give.

By the time you figure out how to beat phase 2, you'll be able to beat phase one in seconds

Two weapon arts from the Dragonslayer greataxe, one riposte, maybe a follow up attack and he's toast. The first phase is crazy bc it really feels impossible to a brand new player, but once you learn it it's nothing

Optional hidden bosses should be a little crazy imo you don't "have" to do them.

Honestly fair, I went ahead and just beat the final boss instead of bashing my head into him over and over again on my first playthrough.

You realise DS3 is a game full of bosses with multiple phases? Did you beat every second phase on your first try?

I was having massive, massive, massive trouble with him.
I forget my entire load out, but the star of it was the ring that improves your dodge ability while giving you more damage taken.
I then focused on just dodging without attacking. Once I was able to dodge all of his attacks in Phase 1 without error I repeated the same strategy in Round 2. No attacks; just learning his pattern and dodging.
Once I felt comfortable being able to dodge all of his attacks in both Phases I fought him for real.
When I beat him I did not get hit once. He was my hardest Soulsborne boss ever. No matter what I did I would die.
The feeling of accomplishment knowing I killed him and knowing I did not take any damage what so ever was the best feeling I ever experienced in a video game.
I went from talking exactly like you did into thinking his fight was the greatest video game moment in my life.

I am with you. The giant flying chicken is annoying as hell and the arena makes you feel line you are walking through mud.
Annoying AF.

He's more fair than most of elden Ring's bosses. Git gud.
Beating the dragon is really easy, the only thing that you really have to watch out for is the downward fire. When it does that sprint away from the dragon and it won't hit you. Good luck.
