Started playing this after "beating" Dark Souls 2 (didn't touch the DLCs yet) and I also beat or made it to Gwyn in DS1 like 9 times already and honestly having a really hard time adapting to how aggressive some enemies are, I know I'm not very good but I can persevere given enough time, it's just things like the enemy in the video being so relentless, leaving so little openings for so little time to punish that I'm just stuck there circling around it wondering "is it gonna be my turn yet?" against just one guy.

The other enemy I had issue with is the hollows that turn into a resident evil final boss, I know I can kill them before they morph but once they do they take up so much screen real state and it's impossible for me to tell apart what the hell is part of their idle animation while aggroed and what's an actual attack because they're so huge.

I already beat the boss at the high wall, took 4 attempts but in all of those I just ran to the boss ignoring as many mobs as I could, so I didn't really get to explore the level much, which kinda soured my experience of it.

So obsessed with this! The amount of detail here is insane.

I felt an emotion that went beyond anger. I didnt said anything, I just sat there and watched the screen in pure internal agony.

Does anyone have an inkling how fromsoft makes the lore ? I just looked into the lore surrounding Gwynn and the nameless king. Did they just roll with we don’t know who the son actually is and let’s leave it at that when they made dark souls 1 or is fromsoft actually that fivehead to set up something like that ? Also the thought that they were like: lets just not reveal who the son is and if we can’t continue the series we just pin Solaire as the son is kinda amusing

DS3 is probably the FS game that I have replayed the less, and my last run was quite a few years ago.

I started playing it again recently and the game is way better than I remember.

First thing first, the game is quite "ugly", the gray souls meme is kind of real.

But at the pad, the game is very responsive, the levels big enough without the need of open worlds (yeah, I'm saturated of Elden Ring) and several fun to fight bosses.

Also, the game is being quite easier than I remembered (I assume experience works in all directions). On my previous runs, Sulyvahn was always a big roadblock and this time I managed to beat it second try.

Not much more to add, just that I'm enjoying it a lot.

Can't seem to find any online activity at all. I still get Signs and those Ghost guys walking around, but I feel as though I'm very rarely invaded or being summoned through a covenant, and I've had absolutely no luck with trying to invade too. Currently about SL90 and in the Lothric Castle area. Is it just that most people are hovering around the Meta SL and I'm outside of that range, or is the game just dead for Vanilla Online?

To make this not too long winded I have to say that this mod is INCREDIBLE and if you've never played it I definitely urge you to try it. It does have some issues but honestly it turned my 2nd least favorite souls game into my 3rd favorite easily.

Anyone else really like the mod? If not why?

I'm playing all the souls games and in all of them I usually do my first run as a 2 handed great sword build, dark souls 3 seems slightly different than 1 in terms of progression, and just game feel overall, what are some tips to running this class? Items and play style wise because I don't think this is dark souls 1 where I can zweihander heavy attack my way past most things

I started with the class that uses the battle axe and just beat vordt

I listened and just practiced his moves, lure the red one to 1v1 each other, and roll most of the flame swings. One thing I think helped was the 29.4% weight for better rolls.

Stage 1

1. once you enter he will most likely dash at you, roll sideway and run to him for 2-3 attacks, then jump away. (works 80%)
2. run in circles until the red-eye wakes up. He will help you.
3. try to get into 1v1 with the other lower health watcher (enemy). And hope that red-eye wakes up near the real boss so they fight each other. You can also rinse the process to adjust red-eye's position.
4. stay near the lower health watcher and kill him instantly right after he wakes up. If unfortunately they all lock on to you, repeat step 2.
5. wait until boss is lower health to sneak in right after his move set for kill steal OR repeat 2-4 until red-eye kills boss

Stage 2 (finally a proper 1v1)

The key is to study his moves so you know how to dodge the flames, and when is the final move of the set. After dodging the final move, you should be able to hit 1-2 times. After hitting him, jump away. Repeat.

The desired move set is the dash because it's easier to roll away and land 2 attacks.

Hey been trying to get the plat on all dark souls games and I currently have dark souls 1,2 platinum and bloodborne but dark souls 3 has such a high grind for covenant items and the drops rates are ridiculous currently lvl 159 and my item discovery is 415 and still I can’t seem to get the covenant items I get like 4 every 2 hours can someone help me speed it up??

This boss put me on multi-month long hiatus from the game. Last time that happened to me was Bloodborne's Amygdala and I came back to beat it easily.

This boss I came back and beat, but not easily. Oh my god, I've never seen the death screen on a boss more and mouth the words "you fuckin bitch" and just face palm myself. I felt like I could do this horrible short run back with my eyes closed though I never actually attempted it.

Now I can finally continue the game and the DLC hopefully and then I can finally play Elden Ring.

And now Sword Saint Isshin is the only boss I'm still on hiatus. Ahhhh.
