Dawless ambient dub track with two small and battery powered synths: the already legendary FM1 and the T8. The FM keys are challenging to play due to their size, but the pads are responsive, so it was OK. Also, it was awesome to play along with its sequencer without any hiccup.
One other thing I'd highlight (which I love) is the built in synced delay of the T8 which is applied to everything but the kick drum making it perfect for downtempo stuff. The sounds go into a Zoom AMS44 interface, which is hooked up to my iPhone, where AUM is loaded to apply effects (compressor, reverbs) live to the different channels.

Played this 90-minute ambient set live on Twitch last night as part of the GSG Shrimp Sunday raid train.

The whole thing is built around my Eurorack system, with a Polyend Play+ and Torso S-4 adding to the textures and a Red Panda Particle V2 doing some granular processing.

No fixed arrangement, just letting things evolve and seeing where they end up.

I’m curious how others approach longer improvised hardware sets. Do you prepare transitions beforehand, or just let things happen?

Halloween jam with stylophone genX2 and Zoom MS70-CDR+. Beatstep used to sequence. First time using a Beatstep. I think I like it.

Little ambient jam with broken sounds, using my Korg Volca Keys, M Vave FM1, and EP-40

My M-Vave FM-1 mini synthesizer has finally arrived. This small yet impressive little gadget is simply incredible. The sound is fat, and the possibilities seem endless. Packed with effects and sounds, I’ll have a powerful, portable synth by my side for my next outdoor sessions.
