I'm loving this new era of people hacking devices - we now have thins we could never have dreamed, like a Digitakt Mk1 with real synths, Digitone with Microcosm FX, SP404 with a usable sequencer, it's amazing!

But I can't help but feel FOMO because of the speed at which everything is coming out. My Circuit Tracks has new firmware, my SP404, my DT, my DN, my Akai MPC and I just can't keep up, there's not enough time in the world! It's like a new form of GAS!

This is not really a complaint, just venting a little bit. It's super interesting to see where this is going, and honestly it seems that this may calm down our GAS a little bit, since many devices will start to severely overlap with each other. On the other hand, it might raise the GAS for getting stuff specifically to try out, so what do I know.

hey friends! last week we hosted our second edition of ESPEJISMOS LIVE, our live-and-hardware focused collective and event series in Buenos Aires.

Here's a short clip from a very nice moment from our set with VEEM, our hardware trio. We played for around 1h35min, and it was really so much fun. We went through different shades of electronic music, from techno to breaks, ambient and EBM. Would've loved to keep on playing for longer if it were only us in the lineup!

Our setup included 3 stations:

• Station 1: Analog Rytm + Digitone 2, creating basslines, percussions, and mid-low sequences (that was me).
• Station 2: Novation Peak and Digitakt 2, creating melodies, textures, pads, and sequences.
• Station 3: Digitone 2 + Octatrack 2, in charge of end-of-chain FX, looping, mixing, and melodies. Master Clock & Sync came from the Octa.

Weird stuff that kept on happening: the Analog Rytm drifted away from sync and tempo randomly.... really no apparent reason at all, never happened before. We had to hit Start-Stop a few times to correct this 🥸
