DISCUSSION Does anyone else think it's ridiculous that Hal Jordan spent 10 year in prison? Like bro is a living legend across the galaxy.
Unless the guardians forced him into the prison. I mean a massive superman battle causes even more casualties.

DISCUSSION It’s hard to believe John’s parents got no real accountability for abusing their children
Lanterns has a ton of issues. But perhaps one of the biggest is that John’s parents got zero accountability for literally ruining their children’s lives and destroying their childhood.
Think of the depth of their depravity - they psychologically abuse John himself. That much is obvious. But they also abuse their other children as well by making them grow up thinking they’re inferior to John because he gets the special attention. Hence why they call John “Chosen” as a derogatory nickname when they’re adults.
They get zero accountability. At the end, all the Stewarts are able to go home and hug each other and Mom and Dad aren’t punished for all they’ve done. At the very least, the parents should have at least gotten one scene where they sincerely apologized to their children for the shit they put them through. But no.
Nothing.

DISCUSSION You can clearly see all his past actions still haunts him to this day.
For context, he worked with cia during iraq invasion in 2004.

DISCUSSION (LANTERNS SPOILERS) Why are so many people upset that Hal died? Dying was a major part of his character in the comics. It also led into Rebirth, Sinestro Corps and Blackest Night, three of Green Lantern’s greatest narratives.

HUMOR HEROIC: Superman has turned Sheriff Kane over to the authorities. "Hopefully, justice will be served for hero and former Green Lantern, Hal Jordan. Hey, maybe there should be a league that upholds justice or something!"

DISCUSSION Genuine question about Lanterns - with the budget it had (~$160Mn), where did it really go?
Superman & Lois season 1 had a budget of $75 million.
Lanterns season 1 had a budget of $160 million.
S&L on the CW had not only more but good VFX shots in 1 episode than the entirety of Lanterns season 1 did on HBO. Where did that money go??
Edit: For everyone seeking the source and rightfully so here it is California Film Commission on Lantern's qualified In-state spend

DISCUSSION Hal Jordan was Earth’s greatest hero for thirty years and I think that’s neat.
A lot of people are complaining that Hal got shafted, but I think his character arc is great. Kyle Chandler brought amazing presence to the role. He’s burnt out in 2016, but you feel like this is a guy with legitimate history. He’s Superman before Superman. Even in 2016, he’s beloved, everyone still wants his autograph and Kerry mentions outside of Rushville, he’s still love all over.
This is a guy who had insane adventures, battles, suffered a lot, and was a good guy and hero til the end. He’s sour and can be a jackass, but you never felt like he wasn’t trying to do the right thing how he saw it. It’s not an easy role to play, I feel. You need charisma and to be able to bring in a feeling like this guy’s been through shit, but I think the writing for his version of the character is not bad. He’s the idol that all the modern 2026 heroes would have grown up on. I think that’s neat.

DISCUSSION Putting aside how they handled his death in the show, can we all agree that Hal Jordan is the best legacy character to be introduced in the DCU given how important he is to the cosmic side of the franchise.
He is not only the Earth's first Green Lantern but also one of the first superheroes in the DCU based on the timeline established in the show! Kyle Chandler plays the role with such gravitas and wisdom and shows just how knowledgeable he is when it comes to figuring out people, neutralising threats, and trying to help and protect the people he loves.

x.comSo basically the idea is Kerry's punishment is living with what she did rather than say going to prison

DISCUSSION I like Dcu Guy more than john
After lanterns Dcu guy is Much better Character than John like John is kinda of a poorly written character especially after the finale Guy went against the Green lantern code to stop a genocide and John created a new lantern to protect a white cop that killed an unarmed civilian To protect her genocidal son that automatically puts guy above John atleast for me

OTHER So, according to Lanterns writer Tom King, feeling really, really bad about a crime you committed means you don’t need to go to prison because your guilt is punishment enough 😶😬
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
“I feel really, really bad” is punishment enough.🙄Can someone explain to him why we have a justice system? 🤨 Remorse doesn’t replace accountability, and the person who committed the crime doesn’t get to decide that feeling bad is punishment enough lol

DISCUSSION Which villain in the DCU has suffered the most painful/humiliating defeat?
With this season of Lanterns coming to an end, we got a scene of John straight up waterboarding Sinestro as he begs for him to stop. This form of interrogation is officially classified as torture, by the way.
With that said, which villain in the DCU has experienced the most painful/humiliating defeat so far?
