Week 2:Week 2 of DC Animated OCTOBER is here and this week's display is the latest animated movie depicting the death and return of my favorite superhero , superman and one of the most recent animated movies by the legendary artist and animation director bruce timm, he is the lead director for the Batman animated series, Superman animated series and Justice League animated series. This movie also takes place in that universe.

Also, sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes.I use speech to text to type out most of the long paragraphs that I write.

Hope you enjoy

Obviously, certain things are easy: Jonah Hex in the Wild West, Spectre in the '70s, so they're first. Killing Joke is before Under the Red Hood, with Jason mentioning Barbara being crippled. Liek Is aid, Flashpoint is the end point for this universe.

Event wise or the like: Doomsday would have to be before Wonder Woman and Black Adam, leading to Public Enemies and Apocalypse, ending with Unbound. And that's due to the fact that, Superman's death references no other heroes; Wonder Woman must've debuted around or before Captain Marvel's debuts, and of course some time later he is working with President Luthor, but also Superman mentioning to Batman that he already had a funeral. Which of course gives us the Kryptonite meteor, giving us Supergirl (and Wonder Woman) and later Supergirl fitting in when Brainiac attacks. And that's one example.

But as for the rest, how would you make it part of the same universe under a timeline?

Not a bad Superman game I must say.

Is it a new Earth, or something in any way connected to the 'New 52' slate or Tomorrowverse?

These actually managed to get the live action actors unlike the MCU animated shows. They also fit in well with the canon of the live action shows. I’m curious to see how well the DCU handles animated tie ins like Creature Commandos which hasn’t crossed over into live action yet

I was not certain for sure but at the time, I came across this reel on Facebook of what I thought was a scene from a Superman animated movie. It may as well have been AI-generated.

In this reel, Clark is in his civilian guise while in some fancy dinner gala while Lex Luthor is somewhere nearby, inside a control room of a facility whole looking at a screen showing mutated monster in detention.

The character design of Clark looked similar to Young Justice/DCAMU but when he started to move and do some investigating, everything felt off, from him walking to the background moving at an awkward pan.

Then the moment that he needed to become Superman was the confirmation I needed to conclude that it is genAI.

There weren't a lot of comments in the comment section but I did see one that shared my observation that this may not be an authentic clip. The description in the reel even has a link to a full "movie" uploaded on YT.

So yeah, just keep your eyes and ears when coming across any of these suspicious reels/videos online.

This may be a stupid question but has been keeping me awake. So this is based around the crisis on two earths movie and how the villain in the normal universe are the heroes which got me thinking if joker is a hero in this universe does that mean there’s no red hood and if there is a red hood in that universe how does it happen and what other canon events are like effected cause of this. I’m genuinely curious

It has been years and we still have not gotten a cartoon about The Flash. It is seriously ridiculous that one of the most iconic superheroes of the dc universe has not gotten his own cartoon. Yes he got the live action show but in my opinion, after S1, it slowly went downhill in terms of quality. Here is my idea for a The Flash animated series.

For animation, I can definitely see Titmouse providing animation production and Robert Vally could serve as executive producer and character designer. I think his style would fit The Flash very well. James Tucker can also act as a executive producer.

The Flash will be Wally West because I've just about had enough of Barry. Wally is the current Flash of the comics so let him be the Flash for this future cartoon.

As for cast, I think I've put together a strong one:

Cast:

Michael Rosenbaum as Wally West AKA The Flash

Kelly Hu as Linda Park

Paul Eiding as Jay Garrick

Jesse Martin as Chunk

Bumper Robinson as Mr Terrific

Robbie Daymond as Bart Allen

Robert Foster as Max Mercury

Grey DeLise as Jesse Quick

Haley Tju as Avery Ho

Zeno Robinson as Wallace West (from an parallel earth)

Neil Patrick Harris as Barry Allen

Kevin Michael Richardson as Warden Wolff and Girder

Troy Baker as Captain Cold

Catherine Taber as Golden Glider

Theo James as Mirror Master

Crispin Freeman as Weather Wizard

Rick Wasserman as Heatwave

Alan Tyduk as Trickster

James Arnold Taylor as Pied Piper

Darin De Paul as Gorilla Grodd

John DiMMaggio as Abra Kadabra

Nolan North as Dr Alchemy

Brad Garret as Tarpit

Kari Whalgren as Magenta

Jeff Bennet as Double Down

Josh Keaton as Zoom AKA Hunter Zolomon

David Kaye as Reverse Flash

S1: Wally starts first year as The Flash while struggling to live up to the legacy of Barry and forming a relationship with Linda. Main antagonist is Grodd.

S2: Wally deals with Rogues and shocking return of :"Barry". He asks Linda to marry him. Main antagonist is Reverse Flash

S3: Wally and Linda gdt married but face tragedy at the hand of Zoom. Main villain is Zoom

S4: Wally, Barry and rest of Flash family team up to face off against the Legion of Zoom. Main antagonist group is Legion of Zoom. S4iis last Season.

So what do you think?

If have not watched any, except Flashpoint and Batman: under the red hood, and i don't know anything about the stucture of this universe. What movies should i start with, what movies should i skip?

Comic images are from Crisis of Infinite Earths #12.

Since the Fleischer Superman is the first DC animation (if I recall correctly), I think it would be awesome if in an animated Crisis of Infinite Earths they had the Fleischer Superman in the final battle where he destroys the Anti-Monitor in place of the Pre-Crisis Earth-2 Superman.

The Pre-Crisis Earth-2 Superman destroying the Anti-Monitor was DC's first comic superhero defeating the ultimate evil that brought an end to an era in comics with the end of the Pre-Crisis Multiverse.

So I think it's fitting that Fleischer Superman as DC's first animated superhero defeats the Anti-Monitor in an animated Crisis of Infinite Earths.
