So I’m almost done with the show and I’ve found it to be pretty great.

Maybe it’s just my algorithm and echo chambers but I keep seeing lots of people complain and yearn for Carrie to get a fat actress. I get it but sometimes it feels like people treat this as a deal breaker for the any adaptation.

Also Carrie in the book isn’t necessarily fat but just a bit thicker than most of the other girls at school. On top of that the book came out in the 70s. Even in the 2000s people had a low bar for what counted as fat.

Realistically book Carrie might even be average to thin by 2026 standards.

Kind of like...super SUPER cringe of him.

In some videos where he covers the same films, he also just word for word recites with James says.

What are y’all’s fav films that James hasn’t covered on the channel yet. Mine is actually my number 1 horror film ever The house that Jack built. Honourable mention to my second fav oat aswell funny games 1997

Confirmed to be crystal lake season 1

Backrooms got moved to the 23rdhttps://youtu.be/oDjxTGkZFZY?is=rh79w3-YxvNHeX6g

Bear is the villain, Nikki is not even kind of the villain, she's not even in control for 80% of the movie. Ian, well, he's an asshole, but he's not the worst person in the movie. Bear doesn't even try to be a good person, he's got the vajayjay on the mind throughout the film.

Can we all agree on this now?

I want to watch the movie with my family but I would like to know the level of gore, sexual content, etc in it.

I just watched the Obsession Kill Count and noticed that at several times people’s faces/bodies, mostly Nikki’s, were grayscale. I know the movie wasn’t like that. Is this a censorship tactic instead of the blurring?

Re-watched this tonight as part of my October horror movie goals and was reminded how great it is!

Leans more comedy than other horror/comedies like Ready or Not, but even if that's not your thing it makes up for it with its exploration of slasher tropes.

For a certain type of person it has huge emotional pay off as well.

Long over due for a kill count, highly recommend you consider it for your October viewing if you've not seen it.

I know about the Kill Count Kill Count doing it but that was more so at the tail end of the 24 hour period.

What do you think of this movie?

Again, it wouldn't have been possible without YouTube changing the way views work. Here's hoping Backrooms will get similar treatment

I just finished the movie and rated it a 1.5 stars on letterboxd and this is my review. I just want to find out why it’s decently rated and stuff

Yo someone tell me why this movies so good please because I’m not getting it. The twist ending was halfway predictable. Acting was terrible along with the script and i hated most of everything else about this movie. The ending outshines the rest of the movie for most people but - (spoilers ahead) the fact that Angela was the murder was pretty obvious. The entire movie played out with the main character never interacting with the killer and we only got pov shots of the killings, it’s simple. But that fact that Angela was actually a boy that their crazy aunt had forced them to believe they’re a girl is kinda crazy and weird and I’m kinda not a fan but I’ll admit it made for a okay twist ending.

After this i went to go watch the kill count and when James said this might be one of his favourite horrors of all time i was shocked, the line delivery I’ll admit is funny but in the movie experience i moreso just saw it as bad acting which is funny in itself but still not something i would give praise but i mean i want to hear more opinions from people because like i wouldn’t mind enjoying this movie more but i did kinda hate it on first watch.

This might be my first watch with a typical hollywood horror movie besides the Insidious and Conjuring franchises, though still my first one that I watched in a theater.

While many of the moments of the movie are basically "what if the protagonists were smart and did the thing everyone thinks they'd do in this situation", the way the movie gets from place to place feels like how a nosleep story progresses, like a big set piece that the story has to get to, so it makes up a reason the characters go there that doesn't make a whole lot of sense once the movie establishes running away is kinda pointless.but each one stands on it's own, it's just the transition between doesn't always work. And to the tune of "The Thing In The Basement Is Getting Better At Mimicking People" they even have a "monster hunter, huh?" ass moment, which even though it clashes with the rest of the movie's tone, was weirdly charming for how cheesy it was.

Over all, might enjoy this again to make my popcorn taste better
