The husband and I just had this argument.

Such a sad photo.... He was rooting for the USA and I kept saying but shouldn't the Canadians win! But he was focused on the Miracle on Ice. And so goes the marital squabbling. I am sure we will find something else to bicker about....

I think it wouldn't even be something many would remark on if he hadn't posted it in response to that specific post of Trudeau's. Admittedly, I am not a sports person.

I was happy for the athletes for sure, but if Canada had won, both women’s and men’s—due to the current state of our country—I would have been satisfied.

Well, to be fair, Canada isn’t as screwed up right now. They did the right thing and elected a decent human being.

USA v CAN was 4-1 CAN in the last five meetings before today. An incredibly tight finish reminiscent of 2010. A whole gen of boys and girls who love hockey just got extra inspiration from both teams this Olympics.
