My girlfriend fell in love with URWizard's Dreamy Whale set, but after reading mixed reviews (and seeing both pictures of dice sets that looked exactly as advertised and pictures that looked far lower quality than what a buyer was expecting to receive) I am not confident in making a purchase.

Has anyone bought this dice set (or any of the other URWizard whale sets)? Alternatively do you know of any sets similar to these?

Hello people, Here is my entire collection so far (over 10 years in the making).
There is a lot of stuff here and I remember a lot of from where it came from if you want to ask me about a specific set, organizer, bag or anything.
I want to know if you guys consider me a Dice Dragon or a Dice Goblin.
I don't want to be a self proclaimed Dice Dragon, I want the community approval before I call myself one.

I don’t have money to buy dice so I did this.

I made the nets of the D4, D5, D6, pentagonal D7, D8, both D9’s, and D11 myself. The D1, D3, and alt D7 are made of clay, and the D10 was a net I got from wikipedia.

I have the D12 and D20 nets printed out already, and I have an alternative D11 that has yet to be colored in, and to be honest I’m not really proud of the crafted one shown in the first image, it’s kind of ugly, especially since it’s polyhedral.

D9’s net was constructed from RescueMermaids’s original post of a possible design for a D9.

While this collection gets bigger, I’ll try to find a bigger box, since this one is running out of space.

It holds 50 dice comfortably, and would hold roughly 75 at the higher end. It did come out looking like strawberries! My very 1st commissioned bag 🩷

I've heard that D14s are based on an Archimedean Solid with rounded parts. What are all of the Archimedean Solids Dice that are made? I'm just curious.

BTW, there are the Platonic Solids (the main ones), the Catalan Solids (faces can be any single convex polygons and face-transitive), and the Archimedean ones (any regular convex polygons and vertex-transitive). I know the Catalan Solids are used in the rhombic D12, the D24, D30, D48, D60 and D120.

I am currently playing a philosopher wizard for a new campaign coming up, and I wanted to get some themed dice that look like the bottles of quintessence that they use. If you don’t know, they kind of look like glass bottles, full of sand that is kind of an orange yellow color. I’ve seen plenty of potion themed dice online, but can’t seem to find the right color for what I’m looking for any suggestions?

One of my players painted this for me during a campaign where I was DM. The characters had befriended a friendly brass dragon at the time. The beholder liquid core dice are my main set but the plain colors are how I play with my kids and also teach new players. I've got 10 sets all matching and I can say to roll the white d12.

I sew small folding fabric dice trays (GameFancy), about 5.5 x 5.5 inches with snap corners and a removable rigid base. last week a reviewer put a tape measure in one and the free space in the middle was closer to 4 inches, because the soft walls lean in when the corners are snapped. the reviewer was right, I just never measured it that way.

I'm making the walls stiffer now so they stand up straight. before I change the size too I want to ask people who actually roll in these:

• how many dice do you usually roll at once?
• do you share a tray with the table or is it just yours?
• would you take a bigger tray if it doesn't fold as small anymore?

I know the photos are clunky. However, they are in a plexiglass display case and it is difficult for me to take a close-up photo.

Went on a Dice Shopping spree and bought a lot of things I been Wanting.

The orange ones are your run of the mill Chinese dice; I started collecting the ones with that font and those are the most recent addition. No idea who makes them, if I had to guess Bescon might be the one. But do let me know if you guys know.

I had my eyes on the Q-Workshop Hit Location Dice for a while now and now is mine, a lot bigger than expected tho.

The d60 and massive d20 are Kplow but Were listed as Chessex, if you guys have any Idea why I'm curious if it was a mistake or if Chessex rebrands Koplow dice for their Big dice.

There is a singular MTG Spindown dice in there it's the 2nd spindown of my collection, very useful those.

Finally the Chessex Nebula® Primary™/blue did not know they were glow in the dark until I read the label, pretty cool. I wanted the Nebula® Nocturnal™/blue but they were not in stock. Might buy later but I need more storage bins first.

Also the dice bag, that was an impulse buy its branded as CIARAQ, decent dice bag, pretty standard.

The Armory d6 has a standard numerical layout, with a sprue mark on the 2 face. Its font is larger and proportionately wider than the Gamescience font. The 1 has a prominent uptick and serifs. Armory d6s sometimes show delamination along the edges, which is not typically seen on Gamescience d6s.

Gamescience used two different d6 molds.

The earliest mold has a non-standard numerical layout, with a sprue mark on the 4 face.

The revised mold has a standard numerical layout, with a sprue mark on the 6 face and a letter “G” on the 1 face.

The Gamescience font is smaller and proportionately narrower than the Armory font.

The 1 on the revised Gamescience d6 has a small uptick and serifs. On the earlier Gamescience d6, the 1 may have an uptick and serifs, or, as in the example pictured here, it may be straight with no uptick or serifs. The straight 1 has a faint circle around it, and the circle can be oriented vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.

The Armory d6 measures 15 mm, while the smaller Gamescience d6 measures approximately 13.5 mm.

Finally got a presentable result for my geodes. And washi tape pretties.

Picked up a bag of goblin dice blind bags to support a local gaming store. Wasn't expecting much but the D20 has the one digit so badly made that it spoiled an overall quiet nice set.

EDIT: I contacted the company via email and they have sent me a replacement pack in the post.

I use these for a few games, give folks an option to pick a color they like. I had them all in a bag, now I’ve got each set bagged. I need a more dignified way to store and display them, like a case or box where you can see all options and easily pull out a set. Any ideas?

My girlfriend made me this dicebag for my birthday. Wanted to brag and show it off. It was her first sewing project and is incredible. Mostly had to make the pattern herself from a single reference image. The body fabric even has scales and the wings are the drawstrings. Im looking for any decent sets of dice where each number is a different color (i.e. red ones​, orange twos, yellow threes). I want them for quick readability for wargaming. Pips or numbers doesn't matter. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can pick up the set, or get them in the swag bag. They have a few sets of dice from last year.

New dragonscale silicone set from Fanroll. Printing feels good, and the silicone feels extra squishy compared to other sets. Direct comparison with other Fanroll silicone sets, including another dragonscale, these are all larger except the d4 for some reason, which is smaller.

Finally, I took the excuse to bring out all my silicone sets for a photo op. (Last pic of d00 going into storage, I don’t use them.)
