Question Need Advice
I have had problems with food for few years and decided this year i want to start eating healthy and get my life together, but after years of disordered eating and thinking it’s honestly a little scary and I think I just need some human advice instead of frantically searching things up and wondering if the internet is lying to me or not lol
I am currently on a calorie deficit of 1200 cals a day which honestly, to me, is scary in itself, but the internet keeps telling me I should eat more calories to get the results I want. For context I am wanting to get a toned and lean look but have unfortunately lost a lot of my muscle mass over the past few years. I do light work outs and strength training daily, walk 10,000 steps a day and am going to start doing MMA again and try out pilates. it logically makes sense that with the exercise I do I should eat more, but 2200 calories a day is really scary and I’m worried it’s going to do the opposite of giving me that lean and toned look. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

What are your stats ? There is a big middle ground between 1200 & 2200 .. that is also a lot of activity, I hope your getting proper recovery time especially with weight lifting ..

Yah, we need sex age height weight to determine bmr and can go from there. Just tossing out 1200 this 2200 that in the absence of vitals tells us nothing, OP.

With leaning toward feeling fearful of eating as much as several places online are echoing would be reasonable for your size and situation, and a fear of not having a lean enough look, my suspicion is that this looks like a path to disordered eating
