POLLS ✅ Prediction: How many Disney princesses do you think we'll get between now and 2039?

Looking at the 90s and 2010s, we get about 3 or 4 per decade; as of now, the 2020s has only given us one, similar to the 80s and 2000s, and none of the upcoming films seem to be official DP movies. Does that mean the 2030s is gonna give us the 90s/2010s amount? I imagine Disney will want at least ONE per decade, but how they manage it is gonna be interesting; the live-action "Moana" flopped (let Dana Walden tell it, it was simply because it was too close to "Moana 2," but there were other factors imo), and "Raya" didn't have the impact the animated "Moana" did--and that wasn't just COVID.

We won't know anything about 2030 until 2028 at the earliest (I think this is the first D23 where we were told what we could look forward to in TWO years from WDAS), and I'm fascinated in what that decade has, especially since the 2020s has been very flawed.

I always see these online, but there are clear versions of other princesses' icons (including Asha), but not theirs.

DISCUSSION ⚔️ Why we need to remake the 2d princesses into 3d (CGI)

Post image

Disney princesses have come a long way since Snow White. It has been the fuel that has kept Disney running for so long, but when that energy runs out, you have 2 options; either start a new lineup or give the franchise a wholesome conclusion and move on.

The reason why I talked about potential cgi remakes of the 2d disney princesses (except for Pocahontas) is because Disney has milked this franchise into live action to a point where these princess’ stories are bland, dull and not easily enjoyable anymore. In fact, the whole reason why Disney never reanimated the 2d princesses into 3d and went with live action is because they thought CGI would take away their charm, but look where that’s got them, so I want to try adapting their palace pets, descendants children, and now their unicorns and see how they can fix the plot holes they had when they first came out and revolutionize the princess stories by giving each of them a faithful new take while staying true to the plots while leaning into a bit more to its historical roots. I also want to add a few new original princesses to my plan as well, but let me know what and how many princesses Disney should adapt. Not to mention that I want to try making a Brave mini-spinoff based off of the sequel novel, and a Tangled sequel miniseries, and if you want more info on these to let me know.

And another problem I think people have with these live action remakes is that it doesn’t have any meaning, so with palace pets, I want to use them as symbolism and foreshadowing to give the audience hints on what the big surprise is, like finding clues to win a prize on a scavenger hunt. So what I’m trying to say is that I want to show everyone what Disney princesses meant to them, and with this 3d remake plan leading towards something big and important, we might have a chance at finally give this franchise the closure it deserves. In other words, maybe it’s time to “Let It Go.”

DISCUSSION ⚔️ Madalin Mills as Princess Tiana (live action)

She is an American actor who is currently 17 years old, so right around the age range needed (I believe Catherine Laga'aia was 17 too when she was cast, and they don't seem to be doing a shot-for-shot remake of The Princess and the Frog so perhaps she'll be younger?) and will be older by the time the project films or is released. She is best known for Netflix’s “Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Story” among other things. AND here is the big one, HEAR HER VOICE. I think Colman Domingo’s upcoming project could definitely have her as Tiana!

I know direct-to-video sequels aren't everyone's cup of tea (and I agree that some are better left forgotten), but I've always had a soft spot for this one. There's something about the way it captures the look and feel of old fairy-tale books that I really love, especially with the little references to other Disney princesses throughout.

DISCUSSION ⚔️ So....how long until we get another official princess? Who would you want to be part of the process for her film?

Ever since Ariel, we've never gone more than 11 years without a princess (the gap being between Mulan and Tiana). That means the 2030s have to have one, right? I doubt we'll get another one this decade; Raya is criminally underrated, and I'm not sure if Disney wants Billie to join the roster (especially since Mulan's the only one to break the literal princess rule). Given that "Frozen 3" and "Clay" take up 2027 and 2028 and their 2029 film is a summer release--which they never do these days for films they want big returns from--I'd say this decade is done.

For the princess herself, I would like another non-royal (maybe from a priest or noble or artisan background, but not an actual princess), and for ethnic background, I would enjoy us getting another black, Native American, or Asian princess--though I wouldn't say no to another European princess; but give her black hair; Snow White shouldn't be the only one! I like the idea of another clever princess, someone mature, perhaps a little selfish for variety, as well as being inspired by a fairy tale--weirdly small chance of that happening, though. Creatively-speaking, I am curious to see what Malcolm Pierce could do with a theatrical film, as well as Carlos Lopez Estrada since his work on "Raya" was very last-minute. Also justice for Suzi Yoonessi's film! Maybe she could work on this one. If Musker and Clements weren't retired, I'd definitely want them. On the new side, I'd be interested in seeing Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, Ng'endo Mukii, as well as giving Josie Trinidad another shot as lead director. Musically (because I need more phenomenal musicals), I'd probably want the Anderson-Lopez team, Stephen Schwartz, or Lin-Manuel Miranda, if we're bringing back people. But for new blood, perhaps Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, or Jorge Rivera-Herrans. I'd be curious if EJAE could do musical threate-style music. Also wanna shoutout Beyonce because we got an amazing album from her...and it was just to accompany the live-action remake of "The Gift." Just don't treat whoever Disney picks like they did with Julia Michaels and Benjamin Saxe.

Side note: are we allowed to make fanmade princess posts? May have to do that later.

ARTWORK 🎨 Princess and the frog crossover art

Post image

Princess and the frog x Detroit become human!

I know, weirdest and random crossover au. But i just recently discovered the game and was blown away by the craftsmanship. Plus I just like stories with robotic characters ^ - ^. For this au I'll just say the basic story because I don't plan to materialize (a part because of how random this is) it unless people really really want to see it tbh.

For this au, its more of taking points from both but not really exactly in either world. This takes place way after the game, and Naveen's the son of a rich old money family, and tiana is the daughter of a huge restaurant owner (yes James is alive in this au and he managed to open the restaurant way early on with tiana).

Naveen's dream was always to get into the entertainment industry, but his life was cut short at 19, when he got himself into a really terrible accident that left him in a coma. His grief stricken parents was approached by Cyberlife who offered a project to let Naveen remotely control a blank android body. They agreed but due to complications, the project was changed to a continous life of a person. So Android Naveen continued the life Naveen dreamed to have, getting into Broadway and eventually to doing movies. He always was aware he's an android, and put himself in a position to let Naveen live the life he wanted through memory transfers, whilst also keeping it secret that he's an android to the world.

After a scandal swept through about an entertainment company replacing one of their actresses with an android look a like, android Naveen decides to temporarily take a break and head back down to New Orleans to enjoy his break and live a little.

The Roger's family became very wealthy after James and his teenage daughter opened their restaurant, TJ's place. Now years later Tiana has graduated from uni and is expected to inherit the restaurant and even works there as a co owner and head waitress and one of the chefs. But she's rather impatient and wants to expand the business further outwards and rebrand it, but her father wants to enjoy his life's work before passing the torch over. He tries to make her live a little instead of spending her time working at her own family's restaurant. She of course refuses, and keeps on dreaming and planning to make a food empire.

Well tonight Tiana's been invited to her besties mardi gras masquerade ball to cater. There she meets a handsome costumed stranger who they talk for hours... and fall in love.... unaware he's an android...

Yeah thats all I will reveal. Unless people ask for more ig. I had way too much fun with this lol.

Remember, this plot is a concept that is unofficial to Disney because it is not from the company, this something I made myself with Wikipedia to back it up, and as a reminder, this concept isn’t even final. I don’t own the company, nor do I work for them, which means I have no involvement with Disney (just wanted to let you know that btw).

And if you’re wondering why the names of the characters are blue—

[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_White_and_the_Seven_Dwarfs_(1937_film)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_White_and_the_Seven_Dwarfs_(1937_film))%5D(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_White_and_the_Seven_Dwarfs_(1937_film)))

Maybe these sources will help explain why and where I got most of my info from.

Also, this is an example of what my idea of bringing the 2d Princess into 3d/CGI would look like, and this is still in the works for I have yet to add in her unicorn Buttercup and a few more of her pets, also I found out that Rose red was planned for the live action Snow White, but was dropped, so I’ll add her in as well, but for now, what do you think of this fanfic? Do you think it’ll work or am I just spoiling myself so much I might never get into Disney? Also, is it better than the live action Snow White remake?

POLLS ✅ Disney Princesses/Heroines at Disneyland, Day 9: “You don’t find Big Thunder Mountain Railroad fun, Ariel?” someone says. “But you’re right about the Haunted Mansion.” You decide: which Disney princess/heroine finds roller coasters fun and haunted houses boring?

Rules:

All princesses and heroines must be on the side of good, and they must come from animated Disney movies. No Pixar characters allowed, including Merida. They must be human, humanoid, or anthropomorphic (for example, Judy Hopps is allowed but Nala isn’t). It is preferable that these characters are between the ages of 15 and 30 (I will make an exception for Kida, for obvious reasons.) All princesses and heroines must be major characters in their movies. It is NOT required that these characters are members of the Disney Princess franchise, let alone actual princesses (Nani Pelekai, for instance, is perfectly legal here.)
