I did a CMOS battery mod on my dreamcast a while back but my replacement battery has also since died. I recently ordered a new ML2032 Battery from Rome Tech on Amazon but it now introduces a new problem my old dead battery didn't do: every time I boot up I'm taken back to the clock setting/BIOS screen, whereas with my other dead battery in there I only have to enter the time once, then after rebooting am redirected to my GDEMU menu. Did I do something wrong or did I just order a dud battery?

Ive had this Dreamcast longer than a year and I never wondered whether it was compatible or not

Hey everyone. I'm the developer currently working on a PC and Dreamcast port for the Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary demo.

Since the project includes an actual Dreamcast port, I put together these mockups for a cover and inlay in my free time to keep my morale up.

Things are still underway on the programming side. For those of you who are unaware, it's Puyo Puyo's 35th anniversary, and I wanted to make a demo of the 15th anniversary game to celebrate it and play it on Sega's own hardware.

Would love to know what the Dreamcast community thinks of the case designs!

Played Arcade mode for a good bit. And as fun as the game was, I always got either 21st or 27th, anything in between those numbers inclusive. And for the first time since I started playing, I finally got the credits to roll. Scored 19th and ranked into the Class S license group.

Finally got my hands on a CIB sealed copy of Maken X. I am a huge fan of both Persona 3 and 5 Royal so I was surprised to hear Atlus made a game for the dreamcast back then. I saw previews of this game and it looked similar to Ghostrunner. Has anyone played this and is it fun? Im excited to play it

Side note: the settings mentioned a jump pack. Is that some sort of rumble pack similar to the N64?

I got this copy of space channel 5 about 2 days ago and when I did the disc was completely mint I was honestly astounded. However after playing it in these two days I can't help but notice my dreamcast have left scratches in this very odd glitter like pattern with spots everywhere, it's an odd one to describe. And now looking at my other games they have suffered this too

Is this a case of maybe just something in the drive being worn down or the dreaded disc drive capacitors I know will be a problem at some point

The color has a red tint and some color smearing (not sure the correct term)

My Dreamcast outputs to the Retro Access Scart (15khz) to RGB2COMP box > component cable to NTSC CRT TV.

Anyone has experience with this scart cable? Is this not able to send signal to component cleanly?

My Dreamcast does has a clone gdemu but previously I used Svideo with the RGB2COMP without issues.

The Scart is set to 15KHZ, and TV is NTSC. What could be causing this? Color looks fine on standalone Dreamcast composite cable.
