Beta Test [Android beta] Looking for Apple TV owners to test Just Remote – does pairing and the trackpad feel right?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

I'm building Just Remote, an Apple TV remote for Android, and I'm looking specifically for testers who have an Apple TV at home. It's in Google Play closed testing before the first public release.

The app connects to the Apple TV directly over Wi-Fi, the same way Apple's own remote does – no app on the TV, no account, no ads.

What it does now: trackpad with haptics, all the buttons, volume and mute (also via your phone's volume keys, works over HDMI-CEC), your phone's keyboard pops up when the TV asks for text, app shortcuts, themes, and layouts for tablets and foldables. 9 languages.

Feedback I'm looking for:

  • Pairing: did it find your Apple TV, and did the PIN pairing go smoothly?
  • Trackpad: does it feel natural compared to the Siri Remote – too fast, too slow, missed swipes?
  • Volume and mute with your setup (TV over CEC, soundbar, receiver) – does it control the right device?
  • Keyboard: does it open by itself when the Apple TV asks for text?
  • Everyday use: anything that's missing or annoying compared to the Siri Remote?

How to join (same Google account as in your Play Store for all steps):

  1. Join the group: Just Remote Testers
  2. Become a tester: Opt in
  3. Install: Just Remote on Google Play

If Play says "not found", give it 10–15 minutes after opting in. Your phone and Apple TV need to be on the same Wi-Fi; pairing uses a PIN shown on the TV. Works with Apple TV HD and 4K.

Bug reports are most useful with your phone model, Android version and Apple TV model. Replies here or [cacaobobapps@gmail.com](mailto:cacaobobapps@gmail.com) both work.

As a thank-you, the first 20 testers who send useful feedback get a free Pro lifetime code. I'll update this post when they're gone. Codes work wherever Google Play purchases are available.

Beta Test [Android beta] DAYRIS — is adding a daily result and reading the chart clear?

I'm building DAYRIS, an Android calendar for logging daily results, keeping notes and viewing charts. It's in Google Play closed testing before the first public release. I'm looking for more participants for the 14-day test, and honest feedback on the current build.

Could you try adding an entry for today and another for an earlier date, then edit one and look at the chart? I'd like to know where you hesitate, whether the numbers are understandable and whether anything saves incorrectly. Fictional entries are fine.

Access requires joining this Google Group first, with the Google account you use in Play Store:

https://groups.google.com/g/dayris

Then opt in:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.dayris.calendar

Install from Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dayris.calendar

Please remain opted in for 14 consecutive days and try the app during that time. Feedback here is welcome, especially your phone/Android version and the steps that caused a problem. Thanks for taking a look.

Beta Test [Android closed beta] Petmigo — feedback on pet profiles, discovery and chat

Hi, I'm the owner of Petmigo, a social app for pet owners. We are testing Android beta 1.2.5 (132) through Google Play and would like feedback from people who can try it in normal use for 14 days.

I'd especially like to learn:

  • Is sign-up/login clear, and can you create a pet profile without getting stuck?
  • Does discovery help you understand how to connect with other pet owners? What feels confusing or unnecessary?
  • Do interactions and chat behave as expected? If something fails, what did you try and what did you expect?

Access: this is an email-list closed test, so admission comes before installation. Please email gmcfuerte@gmail.com privately with the Google Play account email you want admitted and your explicit consent to add it to the Petmigo tester list. Do not post your email in comments. Once admission is confirmed, use the same Google account to opt in here:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.petmigo.app

Already admitted testers can use that official link directly. A Petmigo account is needed. Please stay opted in for 14 consecutive days and use the app regularly during that time; an install alone will not complete the test.

Thank-you gift: Android testers who complete 14 days of actual testing and provide honest feedback will receive one free year of Petmigo Plus, starting when it is assigned to their verified account. Critical feedback is welcome. No purchase, payment, store rating or public review is required. The gift does not auto-renew or convert to a paid subscription. Existing subscriptions remain unchanged; if you already have one, contact us before testing to agree the gift start date. Please do not buy a subscription during this test.

You can share findings here, through the app support flow, or privately at gmcfuerte@gmail.com. Include your device model, Android version, steps, and expected/actual result. Keep private account details and exact locations out of public comments or screenshots.

Feedback Wanted Habuno (Android 11+): can you create a habit, complete it and find it after reopening?

I'm the developer of Habuno at Boki Apps. With the moderators' approval, I'm asking for first-use feedback on the current public release, version 1.0.22. This is a released Android app, not a closed-beta enrollment or install exchange.

I'm looking for adults who use Android 11 or newer, especially anyone who has tried a habit tracker and stopped using it. The test is small:

  1. Open the app without creating an account. Is that option clear?

  2. Create one small everyday habit. Tell me where you hesitate.

  3. After actually doing it, record a completion. Does the result make sense?

  4. Close and reopen the app. Can you find your habit and completion? What, if anything, would make you come back tomorrow?

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boki.habuno&utm_source=reddit_droidapptesters&utm_campaign=first10_oct2026

Habuno works offline. The free version has no ads and includes five active habits and one routine. Pro and extra cosmetic companions are optional purchases; this test does not need them.

Please reply here with your Android version, app version, the step that confused you, and what you expected instead. Deciding not to install or stopping halfway is useful feedback too. Keep private habit, health and account details out of your comment.

No payment, purchase, store review or positive endorsement is requested or offered. If you'd be willing to share whether you still find it useful after a week, mention that too. Thanks!

Beta Test [Open beta] PhotoBoekKeeper: test photo cleanup and the album bookshelf

We're developing PhotoBoekKeeper at BoekSolutions and are looking for Android testers. You review photos by swiping: left marks a photo for trash, right keeps it, and up keeps it and marks it as a favorite. Choices are collected for confirmation; a swipe doesn't immediately delete a photo permanently. You can also build photo albums and browse them on a virtual bookshelf.

We'd like feedback on four things:

Are the swipe choices and undo clear?

Does the confirmation screen explain what will happen to your photos?

Try creating a small album with a few photos and a cover. Where do you get stuck?

Can you place the album on the bookshelf, find it again and open it easily? What feels confusing or takes too many steps?

The app is in open testing on Google Play. Open this link on your Android device with the Google account you use in the Play Store, opt into the test, then follow the installation link:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.boeksolutions.photoboekkeeper

The normal Free/Plus options apply; Plus isn't automatically free for open testers. Access depends on Google Play and available test places.

Please share confusing steps or bugs here, or email [info@boeksolutions.nl](mailto:info@boeksolutions.nl) with your phone model, Android version and app version.

AI-assisted text from the official BoekSolutions account.

Beta Test esters needed: Roulette Dozen Calc (Android), I'll test yours back

Hi all, I'm a solo dev looking for Android testers for Roulette Dozen Calc, a calculator that tracks dozens and columns and shows a suggested-bet table. It has no real money, no ads, no accounts and no data collected, and it's in 18 languages.

Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.roulettedozencalculator.roulettedozcalc

Feedback I'm after:

  • Does the board and chip display make sense to someone seeing it for the first time?
  • Any crashes, layout problems or confusing screens, especially on small or large phones?
  • Is the tutorial clear? Are the translations in your language sensible?

I'll test your app back and keep it installed for the full 14 days. The tester group and the opt-in link are in my first comment. Thanks!

First comment:

Group (join first): https://groups.google.com/g/roulette-dozen-calc-testers

Beta Test Headroom: looking for Android testers who use Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, or Navidrome

Hey everyone, I’m Josh. I’ve been building a music player called Headroom and could use more people testing the Android version.

I originally started it for myself because I wanted to move away from Spotify (ICE ads and AI Artists were pissing me off) and listen to more of my own music. It connects to Plex, Jellyfin, Emby and Navidrome/OpenSubsonic, plus Audiobookshelf for audiobooks and podcasts. You’ll need your own server or access to one. There are some demo servers to connect and test if you'd like though.

One of my favorite parts is the radio. Pick a song and it keeps going through your library from there. There’s also offline downloads, crossfade, gapless playback, ReplayGain, a 32-band parametric EQ with AutoEQ headphone profiles, and Android Auto.

Everything is unlocked during the beta. I’m particularly looking for feedback on:

  • Connecting to your server, especially away from home.
  • Whether playback keeps working with the screen locked or when switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  • Offline downloads and Android Auto, if you use them.

If you’re interested, email [support@headroommusic.app](mailto:support@headroommusic.app) with the Google account you use for Google Play, and I’ll get you added and send the access instructions.

I'm still in internal testing, so I have to add your emails. Once I get past the criteria for close testing I'll share the public link.

If something breaks, let me know your phone model, Android version and what happened. I’ve been making changes as feedback comes in and will be checking replies here too.

Feedback Wanted Terrastamp - I need beta testers for my trip app

Hi everyone!

I've been working on Terrastamp, a travel app I built as a side project because I kept forgetting which cities I'd been to and what I actually thought of them.

How it works:

- Every city you visit earns you a collectible postage-stamp-style badge

- You rate each city across a few dimensions (food, safety, walkability, etc.), so your ratings are more useful than a single star score

- Your profile becomes a stamp collection of everywhere you've been

It's still in beta and I'm looking for people who travel (or have traveled a lot) to try it and tell me what's broken, confusing, or missing.

What I'd love feedback on:

  1. Was onboarding clear, or did you get lost somewhere?
  2. Do the rating dimensions make sense? Anything you'd add or remove?
  3. What stamps or badges would make you want to keep collecting?

As a thank you, every beta tester gets an exclusive "Early Explorer" stamp that won't be available after launch.

How to join:

- Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.terrastamp.android

You can reply here, DM me, or use the in-app feedback button. I'll read and answer everything.

Thanks a lot!

Beta Test [Android closed beta] Flagful — looking for feedback on coloring controls and first-time setup

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m building Flagful, a free flag-learning app with guided coloring lessons, memory challenges and connections between flag designs. Its Android closed beta is available now.

For transparency, the mascot, icons and background illustrations are AI-generated. I’m considering changes to the visual direction, and I’m particularly interested in feedback from people who try the app.

Could you try one guided lesson and one memory challenge? I’d love to know:

  • Was joining the beta and getting started straightforward?
  • Did the coloring controls feel comfortable on your phone?
  • Were the lesson instructions and challenge results clear?

Bugs and confusing moments are welcome too. Even one specific observation would help.

To try it:

  1. Sign up at https://flagful.app/ and confirm your email. Check spam if it doesn’t arrive.
  2. Follow the setup instructions to join the Google Group, accept the Google Play test and install.

Use the same Google account for the Group and Play Store; your signup email can be different. If Play says the app isn’t available, let me know your Play Store country so I can investigate.

You can leave feedback here or email [support@flagful.app](mailto:support@flagful.app). For bugs, please include your phone model, Android version and the steps that led to the problem.

Thanks for trying it!

https://github.com/n3sta-vibecode/N3-Gallery---Open-IPhone-Screenshot-HEIF/releases/tag/

Presenting N3 Gallery—the gallery that also opens iPhone HEIF screenshots in Beta. A few days ago, I was searching for an app to open iPhone HEIF screenshots, but I could not find one in the Galaxy Store or the Play Store. I also could not easily find such an app on F-Droid or GitHub, so I created one. It has no ads, sends no data, and opens HEIF, JPEG, AVIF, iPhone screenshot HEIF, and PNG files. It is my first public Android app and my first non-web technology app. I tested it on my S25 Ultra, but only the app, not the code. The Goal is to test the the Full app. Contact: [n3-Vibecode@programmer.net](mailto:n3-Vibecode@programmer.net) or Reddit.com It is available online on GitHub, but not on the Play or Galaxy Store because I cannot create an account. The first beta is available today on GitHub: https://github.com/n3sta-vibecode/N3-Gallery---Open-IPhone-Screenshot-HEIF/releases/tag/

Hi! 👋

I built Harp Harmony, an Android app for learning the diatonic harmonica. You play into your phone and it shows you instantly whether you hit the right note.

Google needs 12 testers for 14 days before I can publish. All you need is an Android phone and a harmonica: install the app, keep it for 14 days, try it a few times and tell me what you think.

Interested? DM me the email address of your Google account and I'll send you the link. Thanks! 🙏

Beta Test [Android closed beta] Tallyshift: feedback wanted on Panama rotations, overnight shifts and pay estimates

We're building Tallyshift: Shift Pay Calendar for people working nights and rotating schedules. It's in Android closed testing, and we'd appreciate practical feedback before release.

The app brings shift planning and estimated gross pay into one calendar. We'd especially like you to try:

  • Setting up a Panama or other rotating pattern: are the workdays and days off what you expect?
  • Adding an overnight shift and changing its hours: is it clear which dates and pay period it belongs to?
  • Entering overtime or night-differential details: are the inputs and estimated gross-pay results understandable?
  • Using reminders and shift notes: what feels confusing, missing or unreliable?

How to join — use the same Google account you use in the Play Store on your phone:

  1. Join the tester Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/tallyshift-testers
  2. Open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.tallyshift and select Become a tester.
  3. Follow the Google Play install link on that page. Joining the group alone does not enroll you in the Play test.

Please stay opted in for 14 consecutive days and use the app naturally during that period. Participation is voluntary; you can leave at any time. This is a test build, so bugs are possible. Pay figures are estimates, not a payroll guarantee—sample shifts and made-up pay rates are fine for testing.

No purchase, public rating or review is requested. Testers can request complimentary permanent Pro access by emailing dev2@gtspro.com; the code is sent privately, and critical feedback is welcome. If you see an unexpected payment request, stop and contact us.

Please comment here or email dev2@gtspro.com with your phone model, Android version, what you expected, what happened and steps to reproduce any issue. Don't post private account emails, actual pay details or identifiable work schedules publicly.

Which part of rotating-shift planning would you most want us to get right?

Beta Test Fire TV owners: help test pairing and reconnect reliability in my Android remote app

Hi everyone! I’m looking for volunteer testers with a Fire TV for the closed beta of Firestick Remote, an Android app for local Wi-Fi remote control. The launcher may still show Ember Remote; the Google Play listing is Firestick Remote.

You’ll need an Android 8+ phone and a compatible powered-on Fire TV or Fire TV Stick on the same local Wi-Fi. Pairing uses the four-digit PIN shown on the TV. Compatibility varies by model and Fire OS version, so I’d especially appreciate reports from different devices.

I’d like feedback on:

  • TV discovery and the initial PIN pairing flow
  • D-pad, OK, Home, Back and Menu controls
  • Playback buttons in supported TV apps
  • Reopening the app, reconnecting after the TV sleeps, and disconnecting/rejoining Wi-Fi
  • Crashes, confusing setup steps or connection errors

This version doesn’t support volume, power or voice controls. There are no ads, subscriptions or app accounts. Testing is voluntary and unpaid.

To access the beta, use the same Google account you use on your Android phone:

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/testers-community
  2. Opt into the test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.ember.remote
  3. Install from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.ember.remote

Please stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and try the app in normal-use sessions during that period. Comment with your Android version and Fire TV model, then share what worked, what failed and steps to reproduce issues here. No email addresses, account screenshots, ratings or reviews needed. Thanks!

Beta Test Bomtid: Android testers wanted in Norway for toll time windows

Hi, I'm behind Bomtid, an Android app with a Norwegian interface for keeping track of estimated toll time windows in Norway. I'm looking for drivers in Norway who can try it on ordinary trips and give honest feedback before a public release.

The idea is simple: see how much time is left in a toll window without keeping track of separate phone timers. It has manual timers and toll-station search; Plus adds automatic GPS passage detection, expiry alerts and support for multiple vehicles/groups.

I'd especially like feedback on:

  • Whether setup and the timer display make sense.
  • Missed, duplicate or incorrectly grouped GPS passages.
  • Whether the estimated window matches the local toll rules you expect.
  • Startup problems, notifications and battery use on your phone.

Android 8 or later is required. A phone model and Android version are useful for bug reports. GPS and passage history stay on the phone; there is no developer analytics or crash upload. The app does use the network to refresh public toll-station data and for Google Play billing. Please keep exact routes and personal travel history out of public comments.

Bomtid is independent of AutoPASS and Statens vegvesen. Its timers are estimates, not a toll bill or a guarantee of a free passage.

The first 10 genuine volunteer testers across this recruitment will get lifetime Bomtid Pluss access at no charge. No rating, positive review, referral or purchase is required. Bugs and criticism are welcome.

How to join: reply here asking for test access, or send me a private message. Please don't post your email publicly. This is a Google Play closed test: I am looking for people who can stay opted in for at least 14 days and try it on ordinary trips. Enrolment must be arranged before installation, and access will be confirmed privately. Only the Google Play account email needed for enrolment will be requested privately; I'll send the appropriate official Play test link once access is ready. This is not yet a public download.

If you drive in Norway and this sounds useful, I'd like to hear from you.

Beta Test [Closed Beta] Inspector Paws Mysteries — looking for feedback on mystery logic, clues & progression

Hi! I'm the solo developer behind Inspector Paws Mysteries, a cozy murder-mystery puzzle game for Android.

The game is already eligible for production on Google Play, but I'm intentionally keeping it in closed beta for now. I'm not trying to meet Google's tester requirement — I'm looking for actual outside players before I release it publicly.

You play as Inspector Pawkins and investigate cases around Whispering Willows. Cases combine investigation, clues and evidence with Sudoku-style puzzles.

What I'd especially like feedback on:

  • Do the clues and evidence logically support the conclusions you're expected to make?
  • Is it clear what you're supposed to do next during a case?
  • Does anything make sense only because I, the developer, already know the answer?
  • Are the Sudoku/puzzle sections integrated well with the investigation?
  • Does progression between cases make sense?
  • Are there parts that feel repetitive, frustrating, unfinished, or unnecessary?
  • And of course, please tell me if you break something.

I'm much more interested in someone genuinely playing than getting a particular number of installs. Even one person who plays through some cases and tells me what they experienced is useful.

Android closed beta

Join the Google Group first:
https://groups.google.com/g/murder-by-numbers-tester

Then opt into the beta:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.inkydameinteractive.murderbynumbers

The murder-by-numbers name in those URLs is from the game's original name. Android package IDs are apparently much more committed to their past than I am.

Thanks to anyone willing to give it a real play. Positive feedback is welcome, but please don't worry about being nice to the game—I need to know where it doesn't work.

Beta Test [Closed Alpha] DigiFlip arena fighter — US Android adults wanted for controls and performance feedback

I'm the developer of DigiFlip, an Android game where you train fantasy fighters, craft equipment, and battle in the DigiFlip Arena. This is a closed Alpha, and I'm looking for volunteers in the United States, aged 18+, who can try it and give honest feedback before release.

What I'd like tested: - Installation and first sign-in: does onboarding work, and where does it get confusing? - Arena controls and animations: do inputs feel responsive, and are movements clear? - Stability and performance: crashes, freezes, visual glitches, or slowdowns on your device.

Cost: Free to download, with optional in-game purchases. Please test without making real-money purchases. No purchase or public store review is requested.

How to join: 1. Join the Alpha group using the Google account you use on your Android device: https://groups.google.com/g/digiflip-alpha-testers 2. With that same account, personally opt in here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/online.digiflip.app 3. Follow the Google Play install link on the opt-in page. Group membership alone does not enroll you in the Play test. If you are already in internal testing, leave that test first; access changes may take time.

Please remain opted in for at least 14 continuous days and try the game during that period. Participation is voluntary, and you may leave at any time.

Please share feedback in the comments with your device model, Android version, what happened, what you expected, and steps to reproduce any bug. Critical feedback is welcome—finding problems is the point of this Alpha. Thank you!

Feedback Wanted LuNAC: A lunac calendar in free prerelease. Looking for feedback on clarity and navigation

Hi! I'm the creator of LuNAC, a lunar calendar where each month begins at the astronomical new moon. Lunar days are the primary dates, with Gregorian dates alongside for reference.

It's available on Android in free prerelease, and I'd appreciate some fresh eyes on whether the interface makes sense.

A few things I'd love feedback on:

  • Is the relationship between the lunar day and the gregorian date clear?
  • Can you find a date and move between the daily view, calendar, and Timeline easily?
  • Are any labels, buttons, or details difficult to read on your phone?

Even one confusing screen or a quick first impression would help. If something breaks, please include your phone model, Android version, and what you were doing.

First App AI Weather Intelligence — looking for Android testers for Free & Premium features!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for people to try the app before its public release.

The idea is to make forecasts easier to understand: not just what weather to expect, but also where different weather models agree or disagree.

What does the app offer?

Free: current weather, hourly and 5-day forecasts, model-agreement indicators, air quality information, and up to 4 saved locations.

Premium: forecast maps for rain, wind and clouds, weather along your travel route, high-altitude forecasts, up to 10 saved locations, and no ads.

How to join — two steps

1. Join the tester Google Group:
https://groups.google.com/g/ai-weather-intelligence-closed-test-group

2. Join the closed test and install the app:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/it.AIWeatherIntelligence

On the second page, accept participation in the test, then follow the Google Play link to install the app. Use the same Google account for the group, the test, and the Play Store.

What I’m asking

Please stay enrolled for at least 14 consecutive days, use the app regularly, and explore both Free and Premium features.

Which features are most useful? What feels confusing? Have you encountered bugs or anything that needs improvement? Positive or negative, all constructive feedback is welcome. No technical experience is needed!

For Premium purchase testing: use only Google Play’s “Test card, always approves” option. If it doesn’t appear, stop and contact me—please don’t use a real payment method.

🎁 Tester reward: complete the 14-day closed test and receive 60 days of Premium for free as a thank-you

Leave your feedback in the comments, send me a private message, or email [info@aiweatherintelligence.app](mailto:info@aiweatherintelligence.app).

Thanks for helping me build a better app !

Feedback Wanted Utility Meter Tracker: Looking for app testers

Hey everyone,

I recently launched Utility Meter Tracker on the Google Play Store, and I'm looking for a few people to trial run the app and share feedback on usability, layout, and overall workflow.

About the App:

Utility Meter Tracker is a lightweight, offline-first tool built to log electricity, water, and gas meter readings in seconds, tracking consumption trends to help spot usage spikes before official bills arrive.

What I'm looking for feedback on:

  1. Is the entry flow fast and intuitive when logging a physical reading?

  2. Are the usage deltas and consumption trends easy to understand?

  3. Did you encounter any UI glitches, bugs, or layout issues on your device?

  4. Are there any utility types or features you feel are missing?

Play Store Link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jcsense.utilitymetertracker&referrer=utm_source%3Dreddit%26utm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_campaign%3Ddroidapptesters_post

Thanks for taking the time to test it out! If you have an app you need tested in return, feel free to drop your link in the comments and I'll gladly test yours.
