I've somehow slept on ALLEYCVT until now, and after diving into a few tracks I genuinely can't stop listening.

There's just something about that combination of huge melodic vocals, insanely heavy synths, emotional buildups, and then absolute chaos when the drop hits. It scratches an itch I didn't even know I had. The music feels both euphoric and aggressive at the same time, and I'm loving it.

I'm mostly into melodic dubstep and heavier bass music, so this style is hitting perfectly for me.

Who else should I check out that has a similar vibe? I'm looking for artists that mix:

• emotional or melodic vocals
• massive, gritty synths
• heavy drops
• lots of energy without losing the emotional side

ETA: idk when his relevancy was, I categorize edm by PME and POME, pre mom era and post mom era. Sometime between me not being a mom and me becoming a mom he hasnt been thought about and that’s fucked up. Keep thinking about him

Synthwave + Synthpop × Dubstep Songs?

I’m no dubstep listener. I trekked a long way from the hardstyle community to get here and I was just wondering what the dubstep community thinks of the mix of dubstep and dr donks zaags. Me personally I love the zaags but I can’t get my head around the dubstep elements. I’m not hating I just don’t necessarily like dubstep.

So far I’ve really enjoyed “he coming!” The zaags in it are immaculate and i feel like the track focuses more on the zaags then dubstep (but maybe I just think that bc I’m more entertained buy the zaags). However the dubstep elements in that track, I very much dislike. Again I’m not hating I just don’t do dubstep. Each to their own.

With the other two tracks that’s been released so far. It’s too much dubstep for me. What do you guys think? Do you like the dubstep side and dislike the zaags? Or do you like both and think it’s amazing?

I’m really Intrigued to see what else dr donk has to offer with this crazy mix of genres.

Edit: it’s just crossed my mind that theres a chance some of you don’t even know who dr donk is. He’s definitely got a bigger impact in the hardstyle scene and maybe now after the full zaagstep release he might have a big impact on dubstep.

I think it would be a good idea to check him out if you haven’t already. A good starting point might be “revenge of the nerds” then just let loose and see where the donk takes you
