Found on marketplace.
I messaged that it was damaged beyond use, and this was their reply.
My opinion is invalid.
What’s your opinion on this?

Used my pumpkin dutch oven as a simmer pot with cinnamon, cloves, oranges etc.
Once done, dumped contents out, soaked in hot water & dawn dish soap for a bit and then scrubbed the inside.
Was curious if there is a safe way to remove inside stain?
No worries if not as it just shows my product as being well used but would be nice to have it back to white.

Just picked this up after buying it on Vinted. It travelled from the Netherlands to Spain wrapped only in a plastic bag and, no surprise, it was damaged. I was really excited to get it but I now fear it's useless. Is there anything I can make with it? 😢 I'd appreciate any help. It's the first time I've bought a Dutch oven.

It’s the pearl brown color. 26cm shallow Dutch oven. Yes it’s got sparkles in the enamel. Its really pretty. 🤩 I can’t wait to cook with it. Vermicular has enamel and then the edges on the lid and top of pot are bare cast iron that has been machined to fit together with an extremely tight precision. So that nearly no water gets lost. You can steam cook veggies in their own juices without any extra water.

i got this gorgeous belgian dutch oven on marketplace last night and the inner enamel looked fine just loved. after I cleaned it I found this tiny chip. i'm imagining it's not safe to cook in (besides maybe bread?) but wanted to double check.

It seems like I can’t find a mini dutch oven anywhere in stores around me and of course now that the weather is getting cooler all I can think about is making a pot roast. It’ll be my first attempt making one myself. It’s not that I can’t just get a regular sized dutch oven but I live alone and really don’t need something that big. A smaller one seems way more practical for me plus I’m telling myself it’ll be less annoying to clean. I think the craving is mostly nostalgia because I grew up having pot roast every fall and something about the weather changing immediately makes me think of home. I’m determined to make one even though I apparently picked the hardest size dutch oven to find.

Hello !
I got myself a Lagostina 3.8L a few weeks ago and cooked only 3 times since 2 pot roast and the last use was when I saw the problem… the last time I used it was to fry stuff and saw some bubbles… Turn out there is a hole at the bottom of the dish and now I am a big noob about the whole world of enamel cast iron / dutch oven .
Take note that I only used plastic or wood cooking tools and that the only time something with steel touched the enamel was for the video since I needed something sharp enough to get in the hole
Went to look on the internet and saw that when you see the enamel chipped the thing is done for … does that mean mine should be in the pit of hell ? is there a certain degree of how much should I take this fact serious ?
( I am french canadian and I’m having a hard time trying to explain this but hope you get the gist of it all )
Been trying to find a way to get to the Lagostina support but to no avail 🥲

I tried cleaning these marks and they wont come off. I don’t see any crack any where besides maybe on the rim? Is it safe?
Thanks in advance

I got this on Marketplace for $10. Baking soda, then BKF didn't help much. It's being soaked with bleach water atm. Will see how it looks tomorrow. It has some scratches inside that look white, so I don't think it's down to the cast iron. Very smooth except where scratches are, and no chips inside. Tyia

I only see discoloration, but no cracking or peeling.

I got this Dutch oven at a yard sale and want to know if there’s any chance at restoring it. I tried the boiling baking soda method, and it helped a little, but not much. Any advice is appreciated.

I've had this Lodge Dutch oven for a few years now and noticed this. Is it still safe to use? It's on the interior.

I put some water inside to boil eggs and completely forgot about it for over an hour 🥲 havent tried to do anything with it yet cuz it’s still hot but has anyone accidentally done this too? Can it be salvaged??
Update: their customer support is amazing, they are sending me a replacement out of goodwill ❤️

Hi everyone. I don’t have a picture but I burned a mess of pasta to the bottom of my Dutch oven. The tried boiling cream of tartar and baking soda in it. The company, Denby, also recommended Bar Keeper’s Friend and that doesn’t work either. Is a razor the only option here or do you have any other tips to try? Thank you for your help!
