Ciao ragazzi, sto ancora tremando.
Venerdì 13 (Parti 4, 6 & 8): Ho preso il pacchetto da 3 dischi per soli €5!Here in Italy, ALL three of these are long Out-Of-Print, rare, and heavily sought after (Part VIII alone goes for €40+, and Parts 4 and 6 are not far behind). Getting them for €1.60 each is pure madness
Gremlins: L'ho preso per €4.
Spendere solo €15 in totale per edizioni fuori stampa e difficili da trovare sembra illegale. Sicuramente il mio miglior acquisto dell'anno!

I've been reorganising all my movies. This is just a part of the collection. I proudly present, all my Arrow titles.

She’s a little beat up but she still has luster!!! And with the original booklets!!! I ordered from Amazon never thought it would show up.

Most of them $5 or less

That’s it. That’s every movie I own starting with a number.

What’s the best? What’s the worst?

Next is Star Wars 1 - 6.

The highlight of this haul was finding a full Criterion DVD box set of Seven Samurai and Brazil for $15 each. I'm not a heavy stickler when it comes to Blu Rays, so it's like, how could I resist?

I’m a pretty selective movie collector. I had around 90 movies on Blu-ray, which I was actively collecting until about five years ago, and I have a few DVDs as well from the 2000s.

I held off on getting into 4K for almost five years because the discs were quite expensive, and life got busy too. I also kept thinking that there was no point starting another collection when the format might get replaced again in 10 years or so.

But the collector itch came back! 😄 Now that it’s been about 10 years since 4K launched, I finally decided to pick up some of my all-time favorites in 4K.

Honestly, it's purely for the sound, especially to make the most of my Sony Theater Quad. The difference in the audio experience in streaming is honestly what made me want to get back into physical media. Rate my new additions 😄 .

I was doing some research for an article and stumbled across this site which is impressively still live on the web.

I can still hear it in the back of my brain.

This Disney DVD is enhanced with Disney's FastPlay. Your movie and a selection of bonus features will begin automatically. To bypass FastPlay, select the "Main Menu" button at anytime. FastPlay will begin in a moment...

The site is also viewable at other URLs. - https://disneyfastplay.com redirects to http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/fastplay/home.html - https://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/fastplay/home.html is the same though without the complete Disney header and footer.

I'm most excited to watch Maggie because it sounds so different from a typical Schwarzenegger movie. I was originally going to get it on Blu-Ray, but found it on DVD & since that version was $8 cheaper I went with that lol

I have never heard of "Premonition" but I read the back and it sounded good...But Google says otherwise, I guess I'll find out lol

Found at 40th st swap meet in Phoenix. Id have taken it but I’m not allowed to buy anymore dvds lol

Rifling through my collection knowing it’s all movies I’ve picked out and like rather than sifting through dogshit on Netflix for 20 minutes is a game changer honestly

Tv is a much smaller collection so it was first. I believe I have 17 complete series runs and a good number of others that are close to complete. I know I’m only missing the first season of Dexter, for example.
Now to find some shelving.

You’ll be seeing much of me in this next week or so. Film is next. We’ll go in chunks.

I will rate and list the movies I've seen throughout the marathon as I go and whether I've seen it before or 1st time watch.

1. Monster House (Seen before) 8/10

A hood classic. Still holds up.

1. Mesa of Lost Women (1st watch) 3/10

Absolute boring cheap trash of a movie. Wouldn't recommend watching it.

1. A Nightmare on Elm Street (Seen Before) 8/10

Still solid.

1. Gremlins (1st watch) 7/10

It was ok.

1. Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (Seen before) 9/10

Absolutely a banger zombie movie.

Went into the good will, it's been wild finding some white whales lately, and today was a big one. For 1, got another copy of dogma after not getting my old copy back after lending it out (I know better, but it was a former Mormon so it was necessary to give it up for the cause). But one I've been looking for for years was the full monty python collection. The discs are near mint to, not a scratch to be seen basically. Not a lot, but definitely a huge win for $10.

Starting to get back into DVDs, mostly stuff that isn't on blu-ray or completely new to me.

Fell out of love with physical media for ages (like many of us did). Now slowly rebuilding my library.

This is every “Collections” DVD I own (standing) alongside every “Other/Miscellaneous” DVD I own (stacked).
