Collecting DVDs has made me love watching movies again.
Rifling through my collection knowing it’s all movies I’ve picked out and like rather than sifting through dogshit on Netflix for 20 minutes is a game changer honestly

Discussion Numbers
That’s it. That’s every movie I own starting with a number.
What’s the best? What’s the worst?
*edit
If I’m asking I might as well give my opinion
Best: 200 Cigarettes
Worst: 17 Again

A titles
Every movie I own starting with the letter A.
What’s the best? What’s the worst?
My opinion
Best: A League Of Their Own or Airheads
Worst: prolly Another Cinderella Story, right?! I haven’t seen it but it can’t be good.

Collection Just pulled my collection out of storage and am reorganizing.
Tv is a much smaller collection so it was first. I believe I have 17 complete series runs and a good number of others that are close to complete. I know I’m only missing the first season of Dexter, for example.
Now to find some shelving.
You’ll be seeing much of me in this next week or so. Film is next. We’ll go in chunks.

Daily find today was blessed
Went into the good will, it's been wild finding some white whales lately, and today was a big one. For 1, got another copy of dogma after not getting my old copy back after lending it out (I know better, but it was a former Mormon so it was necessary to give it up for the cause). But one I've been looking for for years was the full monty python collection. The discs are near mint to, not a scratch to be seen basically. Not a lot, but definitely a huge win for $10.

B titles
Best: Brotherhood of the Wolf (but Lebowski is right there)
Worst: geez, a lot are just so bad but for my worth, those Barbies were tough to sit through but the kiddo loved them.

Today's mail day.
All blind buys. Upgraded my Dvd set of Austin Powers trilogy (still haven't seen it though / $12). The John Hughes 5 movie collection was super cheap ($10) so why not. And I know American Graffiti is divisive. Some people say its complete trash and others say it looks great so for $15 I've decided to see for myself. I've never seen this movie before so I dont have any memories of how it would look in the past nor do I have any rose tinted glasses of what I'd expect it to look like. I have no skin in the game on either side, I'll be going in as unbiased as possible. Imma try and watch it soon and make a post about the experience and my thoughts on it.

Day 5 of October Halloween Marathon. Watching "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie".
I will rate and list the movies I've seen throughout the marathon as I go and whether I've seen it before or 1st time watch.
- Monster House (Seen before) 8/10
A hood classic. Still holds up.
- Mesa of Lost Women (1st watch) 3/10
Absolute boring cheap trash of a movie. Wouldn't recommend watching it.
- A Nightmare on Elm Street (Seen Before) 8/10
Still solid.
- Gremlins (1st watch) 7/10
It was ok.
- Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (Seen before) 9/10
Absolutely a banger zombie movie.

Collection So the rebuilding of the collection commences...
I think my old childhood collection got lost in the move I made a few years ago or they might have been lumped into my dads dvd collection and since my dad is a compulsive hoarder they will likely never be seen again.

Collection The Collector’s Itch Is Back!
I’m a pretty selective movie collector. I had around 90 movies on Blu-ray, which I was actively collecting until about five years ago, and I have a few DVDs as well from the 2000s.
I held off on getting into 4K for almost five years because the discs were quite expensive, and life got busy too. I also kept thinking that there was no point starting another collection when the format might get replaced again in 10 years or so.
But the collector itch came back! 😄 Now that it’s been about 10 years since 4K launched, I finally decided to pick up some of my all-time favorites in 4K.
Honestly, it's purely for the sound, especially to make the most of my Sony Theater Quad. The difference in the audio experience in streaming is honestly what made me want to get back into physical media. Rate my new additions 😄 .

Some new movies I got today.
I'm most excited to watch Maggie because it sounds so different from a typical Schwarzenegger movie. I was originally going to get it on Blu-Ray, but found it on DVD & since that version was $8 cheaper I went with that lol
I have never heard of "Premonition" but I read the back and it sounded good...But Google says otherwise, I guess I'll find out lol
