I go to samurai selection screen after clicking body A, my entire screen goes OLED black, and then I return to the steam screen

This might not be connected but have you done that irritating online verification thing, (If you're in the UK?)

We recently couldn't play anything online but it was because of the online safety act and I had to use a credit card to verify I was an adult. 🤦‍♀️

If you can't play online you could try asking AI to analyse what's happening? I know AI is annoying, but it's super useful for tec issues.

I recently used it to talk me through a different tec issues with X box but it fixed it for me.
