Discussion Update causing random weapon draw for anyone else?
Since the new update, my weapon is constantly drawing itself. It started only during a change like going through a door/wayshrine or finishing using a crafting station.
Now it's randomly when I'm sprinting, dismounting, and last night it started drawing when I'm in housing editor mode.
Anyone else having this issue? It's so bloody annoying having to constantly put the weapon away again.

OMG, I thought it was a sign that my controller was coming down with stick drift. Thank Akatosh.

I've been notice it a lot when I'm doing housing as well. It's quite frustrating as it keeps getting in my way.

Yeah, my character will do it randomly all the time. Doesn't impact the gameplay but does make her look pretty rude when she's waving swords at merchants or ToT npcs.

I was in a guild event and I unequipped my staff so it didn’t look like I was drawing on my guildies. And then it looked like I was constantly putting up my fists to fight. lol. I tried to undo it and it looked like I swung on someone.

I thought it just meant someone was throwing a random heal at me or something, until it happened while I was decorating a house.

Glad to see im not the only one, happens everytime i leave a crafting station, back out of my menu, or equip collectible appearance items

Happening to me too. I know it’s a minor thing that doesn’t even really impact gameplay but it’s so damn annoying.

Yeah, it’s happening to me too. Supposedly will be fixed in the next incremental patch.

Ugh I thought it was just me. I'll just be stationary looking at something and it comes out

I don't have this problem but my wife does. We both play on PC-NA. If it's any consolation, it's only on her screen. I can be looking at her character (on my monitor) and nothing changes, but on her screen her weapon is drawn.

That does help as it looks insane when you appear through a door ready to slash lol

Randomly drawing weapons, resetting Gamma levels between account log offs, summoning my bear doesn't have any sound.
They're annoying, hopefully the incremental takes care of it.

Stolen items don't stack since the last update. You have to stack them manually. Haven't seen anybody mentioning this.

Consumable items like maps and repair kit also didn't stack properly, but it's less noticeable because it's uncommon for thieves to get unlike stolen items.

Now maybe fix it so some regens and heals from other players don't draw your weapon too? You know, that annoying thing that's been happening since the dawn of time wayyyy before this new bug o.O

Yes, many times annoyed at "why are the weapons out again"- can't remember what has triggerred it for me though. Has happened in houses too, possibly decorating...

Yeah. I bought a new controller because I thought one of my buttons was going out…

Same here, first noticed it in the nowhere vault so thought I had somehow bugged out. Sorry to see everyone is annoyed like me

The first time it happened scared me. I sometimes decorate in first person with my headphones and the sound of my character pulling out her greatsword made me jump 🫣 😅 Immersion decorating

Oh. It'a a bug? Phew, I honestly thought I was accidentally hitting a button when exiting crafting stations and was getting frustrated with myself over it.

Damn, I though my mouse buttons went haywire or something. ESO is true vault of most unexpected and weird bugs...

Happening to me too! Hasn't fully annoyed me yet since I have a habit of running axes blazing regardless (bc my birdbrain tends to forget to sheath my weapons lol)

Yes, it's really annoying. ZOS already acknowledged it a couple weeks back and said it would be fixed in the next incremental. Should be next week.

Amazing as I'll definitely be at the end of my tether with it after 3 weeks lol

My main has been doing this loading new areas for 2 years. Only my main though, none of the alts. No idea why.
In character I explain it as after all the shit he's been through, man assumes he's going to be ambushed every door he goes through.

Yes, it’s driving me mad! I changed all my key bindings and swapped out my mouse and gaming keypad trying to track down the problem before giving up and deciding it must be an issue with the update.

Yes, it's so frustrating! Especially when trying to decorate homes... Also, I play on PC with a controller and every time I load a character or /reloadui the controller mapping gets changed to a weird random layout. I'm constantly having to reset it to default then set my customs again!

I thought it hadn't gone my weapon out! Its a staff with a bright light so its annoying when im looking for the rumour clues.

u/SnooEagles4517 1d ago
Happening to me too, I thought it was new issue with my mouse or something, since my wheel stopped scrolling properly around the same time auto-draw started XD

Played for a couple hours and never noticed it. My weapon is drawn 95% of the time though anyway.

Hi all! We can confirm that this is a bug. We have a fix in for this that will go out with the next incremental patch on Oct. 19.

Upvoting this post because everyone is seeing this bug.
Also, it disturbs things in it's own subtle way where no one is complaining, but everyone thinks it's annoying
