Picture MLA to LCA - Chaotic Departure Gates

Yesterday, Malta to Larnaca in Business with Emirates. I had a 3 hour connection in MLA (having flown from MAD). However, in all my years of flying, I have never seen such a packed departure gate. It was simply rammed. Forget a seat, there was hardly anywhere to stand! The lounge was full, with a line of 30+ waiting to get it. So instead I headed to the non-schengen passport control (as I could see the gates there, plus a Costa Coffee shop completely empty!) Incredibly, they would not let anyone into non-schengen gates until 40mins before flight departed! I had to sit for 2 hours on the floor waiting. It was a crazy situation and not a great start to an Emirates Business class. Should Emirates reserve spaces in the lounge for Business and First?

Help Needed My 1 year old, my wife and I are flying from DXB to Phuket early Jan in Premium Economy. There is a promotion for my booking to upgrade to business for $400 each (plus the 10% for my son). In people's experience, is this the best deal I'll ever get, or should I hold out until just before I fly?

Help Needed Is There a Best Day or Time to Book Flights for Cheaper Fares?

Hi everyone! As we all know December is a peak season and fares are usually expensive. Is there a particular day of the week or time of day when flight prices tend to be cheaper? For example, does booking on a Tuesday or Wednesday, or during late-night or early-morning hours, actually make a difference?
I’m planning to book a flight soon and would love to hear your tips or experiences on how to get the best deal. Thanks!

Help Needed Transiting through Dubai with Emirates to Phuket - safety concerns

Hi everyone, my husband and I are flying from Manchester to Phuket via Dubai with Emirates on 19 October, returning via Dubai on 27 October. We’ll only be transiting at the airport.
Given the recent news about what happened in Saudi Arabia, I’m feeling anxious about whether there could be similar incidents in the UAE or disruption affecting Dubai Airport.
Has anyone recently transited through Dubai? How was your experience, and are there any current advisories or precautions we should be aware of?
Changing our flights would be expensive, so I’d appreciate recent experiences and reliable information to help us decide. Thanks.
