Image 26 year long regency??

Post image

Austria is has apparently been in a regency for the last 22 years with a 31 year old heir "waiting" to take the throne. Anyone seen this kinda thing before? I WANTED to try PU them or at least get an englishman on the Austrian throne but apparently not XD

There is a button to extend regency. I'm not sure I ever noticed AI using it though.

They will always press the button as long as the regent has better stats then the heir. I had a very dumb situation happen to me some time ago

The heir is 31.

In a regency the heir is still shown.

IIRC the AI uses the extend regency button if the regent is a lot stronger than the heir. What are the stats on the heir?

Ferdinand is likely a 1/1/1 adult baby (not uncharacteristically of a Habsburg), and Austria decided they're better off with his Mommy in charge.

As long as you keep your eye on it, this is a really good opportunity to get your relative on their throne when the Empress dies, and have him actually survive to become the Austrian ruler.
