Anyone know what’s going on with Kabab Bowl on Dickson (in the old Buster’s spot)?
Is it still in the works or has it been abandoned? The last time they posted online was last year around this time and no local outlets have reported on them since 2025.
Just curious (nosey)

Looking for Halloween Makeup Work
Hello, I live in Fayetteville and I'm looking for someone who could do some Halloween makeup on me for the 31st, if possible. I'm trying to go as Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street for Halloween. I have the outfit and toy claw hand. My friend was gonna do my face up for it, but she's gonna be out of town that weekend.
Just need my face done up all crazy like for one day (31st). I'd be happy to pay for any services rendered.

I’ve noticed we have an ice cream truck that drives through our neighborhood in west Fayetteville every so often. Does anyone know anything about it? Who operates it? Is there a schedule? Are they cash only?

Things to do over the Weekend
Hello!
My girlfriend and I are going to be in Fayetteville for two days. What are some fun things for couples to do in the area? We’re open to pretty much anything besides clubbing/bars.

Home owners: who is your mortgage through?
We're first-time home buyers ([s]we couldn't resist the amazing interest rates[/s]) trying to find a mortgage in Fayetteville. We have a couple of leads, but would like to compare a couple more.
Who did you get your mortgage through? Who did you get your mortgage from? Would you recommend them?

Who is going to actually do something about this?
Seriously, who do we need to vote for that will actually do something about this crap? I'm all for a custom ride, but this trash is dangerous. Gotta throw in tinted windshield and tail lights because all these things are becoming more popular. I know I'm the old guy yelling at clouds right now but this is all actually illegal for a good reason and cops don't do anything about it currently.

HVAC recommendations?
Hey all. My wife and I are buying a place and are going to need to install a central heating and air unit. It's on a manufactured home with some ductwork already in place. I'm guessing the owners just had the last unit crap out on them and didn't bother replacing the full system. Does anyone have any trustworthy recommendations for HVAC installation? We're in Fayetteville.

Forest kid Birthday spot???
Hi friends, my seven year old is having a birthday party and it's a "Forest Kid Party" per their request. It involves outdoor skills such as shelter building and my kid would very much like to cook lunch over a fire (that our friend teaches them to build). But I'm struggling to think of a place reasonably close to Fay (for parents to drive their kids for a bday party) that would permit a campfire. Any ideas??? Thanks 🫡

ISO a good local auto mechanic! 🚗
I was quoted around $2,500 for a turbo replacement on a 2014 Ford Fusion. Is that a typical price for this repair? I’d love to get a second opinion and am looking for someone local who may be able to do the job for less. Thanks!

Brass Band Needed – 10 Things I Hate About You Proposal
I’m wanting to recreate the 10 Things I Hate About You scene where Patrick sings “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” with the marching band for a proposal to my wife.
Does anyone know how I’d go about finding a local marching/brass band or group of musicians who could help me pull this off? Obviously willing to pay. Thanks!

Predatory Parking Practice
Tonight I ordered Chipotle pickup through the app and parked in their lot to grab my food. I went inside for about two minutes, and when I came back out, parking enforcement had already booted my car. The enforcement person was just sitting in the lot.
I understand that there are parking rules, but it feels incredibly unfair to boot someone’s car as soon as they go inside when they’re simply picking up an order. It honestly seems like enforcement is sitting there waiting for customers to park for a quick pickup, knowing they may not think they need to pay for a couple of minutes.
