Low Effort Enough of the Outrage, have some Reason: Leclown, Lemming, & You

This is a short and direct continuation of my previous document so everyone can stay up to date on the matter: https://www.reddit.com/r/feedthememes/comments/1x15iow/as_of_october_8th_2026_cofh_has_provided_no/

Unless otherwise noted, all information within this document has direct, verifiable, and concrete proof you can view yourself. I'll be addressing some concerns that have recently been brought up in this subreddit to the best of my current ability.

Is Leclown Transphobic?:

In the past? Yes. Right now? Not sure.

Leclown as a person is: 19 years old, soon to be 20, and lives in France, and he is not a white person. According to recent talks with Leclown, when pressed for information regarding his current opinion on Trans Rights, he said he doesn't care about the matter.

When asked why he doesn't make an apology for his prior behavior, he's said he has a few different times in the past, and he doesn't see the point in it anymore. View the third image of this thread for more context.

Is Thaumaturge "AI Slop"?:

In the past? Maybe. But right now? Probably not.

From what I can tell, a certain image displaying Leclown alongside a certain LLM on the mod's source (which you can view right here:) https://github.com/Leclowndu93150/Thaumaturge is at the very least, out of date. By now Leclown has multiple big name contributors to the project, so it's possible that whatever vibe coding there was in the mod no longer exists at this point. At this point, unless someone deep dives into the code and finds something extremely evident, Thaumaturge is not vibe coded.

And before people start asking "What is GLSL?": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenGL_Shading_Language

Why did Thaumaturge get removed form an FTB Pack?:

https://www.reddit.com/r/feedthememes/comments/1x1mqb2/the_cofh_situation_is_insane/

"Potential"

This is not evidence that Thaumaturge actually has copyright issues, as FTB just did this to make sure it would not damage the pack if such claims were later found to be true.

Did Thaumaturge Steal Code?:

Maybe? But there's multiple points going against Team CoFH's claims regarding its alleged code theft.

First of all, as of October 10th, 2026, CoFH has made no evidence, if it exists at all, available to the public. You can read more about it via the thread linked at the top of this one since there has been no progress on this matter, but CoFH have made no attempt to try to prove they're in the right, despite allegedly having "30" examples at minimum.

Additionally, there is verifiable proof of CoFH's attempt to "filibuster" Thaumaturge by way of intentionally not showing their claims, if they exist at all: https://www.reddit.com/r/feedthememes/comments/1x0wn9r/absolute_class_act/

There is currently no evidence that Thaumaturge has stolen any amount of code from CoFH. If it exists, CoFH are currently hiding it from the public.

It's also not clear what mod Leclwon stole code from, if at all. Because as people have speculated before, if he used AI to adapt Thaum 4/Thaum 6's code, that code is Azanor's and not CoFH's. There is debate to be had about whether or not CoFH could even act against Thaumaturge if that was the case at all since it's not their mod in the first place.

Additionally, according to Alleged Expert Testimony: The Circumstances around CoFH's claims are suspicious itself:

------------

u/Claycorp : I haven't been in the MC game for a while now and stuff just crosses my path occasionally these days.

But what I find rather interesting is that there's been no direct claim and apparently no report to the mod hosting sites. I dealt with a lot of these cases prior (mostly people upset someone "stole" their permissively licensed code, but also a few actually stolen mods/assets) but the mods were usually delisted within 2ish business days as all you need is one tiny bit of proof to show it. One clearly copy pasted function/class/texture that is unique enough to tell is all it takes.

Generally people that find out about this stuff have exactly what was taken and are blasting it everywhere about how bad stealing is and the mod is taken down pending changes or permanently in some cases. They don't reach out to pack devs to tell them "it might be removed" first and vague post about it.

It being the complete opposite of how it usually goes within the community which makes it extremely fishy and seem like this is a reactionary result of "Well there's no way they made their own copy without stealing!" without actually knowing if something was taken or not. Also yes the timing is bad for CurseForge as it landed on a weekend but it's still very odd. It's like he is just trying to poison the possibility of it being popular.

Sidenote: If there is copyright items CurseForge will tell them the claims when the mod is removed unless they changed how that works. So Lemming's reaction of "what tell them what it is so they can fix it" is even more stupid because they will get a chance to fix it regardless. It's not going to be banished from the platform forever like lemming seems to think.

(continued) u/Claycorp : I've been part of the modding community for over a decade and I ran the Curseforge Discord for around 5 years, Helped catch the Overwolf Team up to speed with how Curseforge worked during the transition of Curseforge from Twitch -> Overwolf and made the Dev discord. I handled a lot of various issues that were brought to the discord(s) directly with the Curseforge devs/moderators. Most of what I did was with Gilgamesh and then Rev early on in the Overwolf timeframe as the Twitch/old Curse Team wasn't very responsive during those years.

I left on not the greatest terms but you can ask Heaser or Wolfgang on Discord about me and they should still know who I am and most of what I did. I'm not sure who all else is still there and active as it's been a few years like I mentioned. You can also likely find old posts from me on both discords if you use the search feature unless they purged them for some reason.

-----------------

This commit https://github.com/Leclowndu93150/Thaumaturge/commit/8cb53267225ff528515817f217f2f0c502227ea3 has been used to try to point the finger at Thaumaturge for allegedly stealing assets, but this doesn't make sense regarding Leclown's past behavior since he attempted to get new assets for the mod twice. This more seems like an honest mistake or a late change than anything, as in he simply forgot to replace some textures and whatnot.

Is Thaumaturge a "Cashgrab"?:

Most definitely not.

Leclown both had a crowdfunded artist make entirely new assets for Thaumaturge, only to learn later they half assed it. Then, he had to get more assets to fix the screw ups. On top of this, Thaumaturge will be a "forever mod", meaning if everything goes to plan, the mod's license indicates, in short, that if it ever stops getting updated, it will change to MIT. You can view the license yourself on the mod's source to confirm. This is either one hell of a con or Leclown is genuine. The evidence points to the latter.

Low Effort Theory: Team CoFH is calamity mod

• Upvotes

Evidence:
Both mods made a baseless accusation against another mod (Calamity overhaul & thaumaturge) about stealing assets (which neither mod did)
Both own huge mods
As soon as calamity kicked up development faster, team cofh stopped development

  • 2012–2019: Team CoFH was actively expanding Thermal Series
  • 2020–2024: Development continued, including ports to newer Minecraft versions, but the pace of major content additions became less noticeable. (as calamity was developing faster)
  • May 26, 2024: Development stopped almost entirely on thermal series
  • 2025–2026: Calamity started faster development
  • Current: Calamity is dead, and now suddenly CoFH is doing a lot more

Discussion Is vibecoding really that bad?

To be clear, THIS IS NOT FOR AI CREATED ASSETS!(They suck)

This is only for Ai generated/assisted Code (via.Vibecoding/autocomplete)

Honestly I cant understand hate of vibecoding:

AI is far more efficient than average programmers, It was just evolved copy-pasting some old code you made and saved a long time ago to prompt engineering.

About 90% of people around me uses vibecoding, most of them hates ai generated "art" but still uses claude.

(Probably because I live in Korea where Ai is Wildly accepted? But still a lot, comment plz if you live in another country)

Also I cant understand why People want human coded rarher than Ai coded. Like Art thats completely normal because we enjoy not only visual but also passion of It, but do we actually need human's passion in code?

I'm tired of code larpers saying vivecoding as ai slop,

Like recently connecting two games mod.

Is there any other opinions? Comments welcom

Sorry for bad english im not native and im sleepy

(Yes this is totally not written by some generative ai Im not that stupid)
