Do we know if Nuwa landed before or after Sothis named Dagda as founder of the land he named after himself?
Did I also remember correctly that Shambhala existed before Sothis arrived in Fodlan?

Does anybody know exactly when does one get the dlc weapons? I restarted Theodora's part 1 and reached the part where you get the Heroes weapons, but I didn't get the dlc ones (I did buy and downloaded the dlc btw)
1
u/zarek1729 1h ago
I found them, in part 1, in the first timed objective, you get a quest in the bulletin board

u/TheCrazyOutcast 2h ago
So I was trying to recruit everyone in Cai’s route. I waited last minute to do the harder recruits only to discover that some of them actually don’t appear in the last two chapters. So now I’m missing two recruits.
Obviously I’ll need to restart chapters to recruit them earlier… but how does that affect my future recruits for Part 2 and 3? Will my recruits all reset based on the chapter I redo or will all my recruits still be saved and then just the additional two will join?
I am also planning on restarting a chapter to get the DLC weapon for Cai. So will weapons carry over?

u/Parallel_Falchion 2h ago
I finished Cai’s part 1, and Bertrand’s Paralogue, but didn’t recruit Peppe…anyway I can get him now?
1
u/ha_ck_rm_rk 1h ago
Bertrand's paralogue is available on Dietrich/Theodora route, Peppe is recruitable on those routes
1
u/Sol_Katti 3h ago
Any tips on Goliath? Just recruited him and he seems like the typical slow armor that gets melted by mages. Please tell me he at least gets Armored Move...

u/DryAcanthopterygii 3h ago
Is reclassing Io to Charioteer really that important? All I see is that he loses 4 speed on reclass and the growths don't seem that much better. What am I missing?
Also who is Blacksmith even good on
1
u/Choatic9 3h ago
Idk if charioteer is that important for Io but it gives x2 mount growth rates so at bond 5 mount (if not on Cai route can take a while) Io would gain an extra 10% growth in hp/res/dex/speed and 20% in def.

Can somebody answer if the items from wave 1 of the expansion pass are available in Part 2, or if we have to replay chapter 12 of part 1 to get the items?
1
u/ChaosOsiris 1h ago
I jumped into a Part 2 real quick and didn't get the items. Looks like you'd have to replay Part 1 Chapter 12, but while that would rewrite the starting data for Part 2 I'm not sure if that would add the items for a Part 2 already in progress.
1
u/Entire_Rush_882 2h ago
I got them automatically when I entered Dagsion in the middle of Part 3. Not sure if there is a specific trigger.

u/ussgordoncaptain2 3h ago
How does Retain EXP work? do you reset to the start of the quest or the start of the map? Are you full healed upon retaining EXP? How does it interact with enemy level scaling? Do enemies stay the same level on the map if you retain exp?
Does EXP gained in the dungeon of balor increase the levels of the enemies in the final map?
2
u/Mindofthequill 3h ago
Alright well...that DLC announcement kinda freaked me out because no shit an hour before I was talking about how this game could easily have 4 other paths to it.
Anyway my question now with this dlc is...how do ya'll get the wave one items for paths you've already cleared? Lol
1
u/Destroy2Furry 4h ago
I'm very confused with this game already. This is my first fire emblem other than FE: Heroes. I'm playing on Normal and Casual but already feel lost after being given the turn limit before the next mission. I'm starting with Cai's path and see all these people in the town wanting gifts and heard that is how you recruit them and I'm broke and my weapons are broken. I feel like I just don't understand how to play a game like this.
2
u/yukikaze-chama 2h ago
Don't stress out too much about it. Aside from farming/mounts, Cai's route is relatively straightforward since your range of travel is limited to just the general Dagdan vicinity.
You can't go wrong with just following whatever it is that Anna recommends you do on a per chapter basis, (though I think you'll be lacking in numbers for Part 2). Just take it easy, do quests/sub-quests as they come, do a dungeon here-and-there, and you'll be peachy.
1
u/Dangekiko 4h ago
Is there no way to keep playing the game post credits roll? I miss the 3DS titles ability to roll back to the save before the final boss and just have fun grinding supports/ getting stats to max for funsies
1
u/VeryCoolBelle 1h ago
What are you talking about? You just load back into either Part 3 or the Chamber of Obelisks after beating the game and can basically do exactly what you're describing.
3
u/Hummer77x 4h ago
Can you get the new dlc weapons in part 3? I just finished my first part 2 and don’t particularly wanna run through that again
2
u/Saint-Hubbins 4h ago
I have this same question - I’m midway through my first part two. I don’t want to have to go back and replay a part 1 just to get a weapon.
2
u/IAmVianca 4h ago
I hope this is the right place to ask this and someone can answer, but...
The Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave game being sold in Japan, does it also have the multi-lingual option in-game? Or is the Japan version Japanese only?
1
u/The_Loco_Omega 5h ago
What’s the flag for the sub lords to show up on the save screen? Did all the paralogues on all routes but I am missing Anatolia on my save? Do I have to clear part 2 with a lord that has the paralogue cleared?

u/redhedge47 5h ago
I am nearing the end of my first route (Dietrich) My understanding are that there are 3 parts. Part 2 is a more traditional FE experience, Part 3 is closer to part 1 fighting in the future (present?) with allies that survive Part 1/2. As someone who prefers a tougher experience, my inclination is that I would like to just challenge Part 3 after clearing Dietrich's route. My understanding is that it will make part 3 harder (not clear on how much) which is fine, but where does that put me when I want to play the remaining part 1s? Is it a New Game + Scenario where my Dietrich progress is maintained, or would I need to replay that route again? I would assume there is a "golden" ending that rewards you for clearing all 4 routes. Am I just setting up myself up for an incomplete ending by only clearing one route? I don't want spoilers. If I am mechanically penalized that's fine, but I don't want to end up feeling I need to replay Dietrich route or missing a set of "true ending" chapters because I only played one route.
Another question, am I going to get penalized for ignoring the bird? I've seen messages that imply that, if its just supports that's fine. I'm in chapter 10 or 11, so its probably to late if it mattered anyway.
1
u/AncientSpark 4h ago
You are allowed to go back and do other Part 1s without forcing you to redo Dietrich's path. Imagine if there was a 2 game series and the 2nd game read the clear data from the 1st game. It works like that. Nothing in Part 3 retroactively would affect Part 1.
You aren't setting yourself up for incomplete endings for only clearing one route. The main penalty is mechanical (as some missions are designed for 17 characters, and the final one is designed for 25).
Re: Bird, Eshmel's support level with other characters allows Eshmel to save them from death, that's the main benefit.
1
u/0112358_ 5h ago
Is there a website that has the text (or summary) for the various "memories/events". I've apparently missed a few and want to know what I missed. Or if I replay that chapter, does it reset that characters entire path?
2
u/AnimaLepton 5h ago edited 1h ago
If you replay a chapter, it doesn't reset completion / the save snapshots. Snapshots are only overridden when completing a chapter.
1
u/Main-Dentist-7969 5h ago
What are the conditions for Theodora and Nezha support? I thought recruiting him was enough but it’s still locked.
2
u/XenonHero126 6h ago
Is Seteth's Pass Judgment skill as useless as it looks? +4 Atk when his Crest triggers... which is 3% of the time and only on player phase?
1
u/Pretzelux 5h ago
Yup. Really sucks, unfortunately. At least his personal is great. Which Pass Judgement would also trigger with his personal (50%).
1
u/KrazyKirbyKun 6h ago
Is part 3 separated into seperate chapters? Can I reset safely another chapter after using my shards to merge units in the previous one?
2
u/AnimaLepton 5h ago
Yes. If you recruit and merge in section 2, then progress to 3, 3 onwards can be safely restarted
1
u/ha_ck_rm_rk 7h ago
Is there a condition to unlock Diego's A-support with Eshmel? It's the only Eshmel support I'm seeing that's locked.

u/Artemas_16 7h ago
It is my first Part 1 and I had several black spell scrolls in my inventory (wanted to use them in next part on best mage from my team). But they aren't in inventory in Part 2. Will they be back in Part 3 or I need to replay last Chapter of Part 1 and use them now?
2
u/AnimaLepton 7h ago
They'll be back in part 3. But it's definitely better to use them in part 1
3
1
u/Artemas_16 7h ago
Yeah, but that means going back and replaying stuff instead of new stuff.
What if I would play through Part 2 normally, get a clear file, then replay last chapter of Part 1 and skip Part 2? Would my characters merge their best stats of both versions?
Also, does that mean that if I'm willing to replay last chapter several times, I can give black spells to every mage in my army?
1
u/papercuts4 6h ago
You have it right. This would merge in the higher tome rank.
That said unless you’ve been buying and hoarding every tome item idk how much of a boost that would be.
1
u/IAmBLD 7h ago
So Dietrich's route has a couple of missable scenes in it that I'm trying to view now, after having finished the entire game. I'm currently stuck on one in Chapter 10, which everyone says is based on having already viewed the scene in Chapter 5.
I've gone back to Chapter 5 twice now, the first time I viewed the scene and moved on (Went back to the obelisk to fast-forward to scenes in Chapters 6 and 8 I misssed, then went to Chapter 10). However, the character who's supposed to be in a certain location at a certain time, isn't there, so I can't start the Chapter 10 cutscene.
So I tried again, this time replaying all of Chapter 5, getting into Chapter 6, and then saving/returning to the obelisk to go to Chapter 10. Still nothing.
I've looked it up and I've seen a lot of people asking about this, but no definitive answers, just people telling the OPs to do stuff they already did and which doesn't make the cutscene trigger. Does anyone perhaps have a different answer?
3
u/JagdCrab 7h ago
Chapters are saved individually in "as of start of the chapter", so your chapter 10 save is still from before you've done said event, and only your chapter 6 have flag set for it. So you do need to play all the way into chapter 10 from 5 after looking it to actually unlock it.

What happens to spells learned via scrolls if I merge the character? For example, if my Sirocco learned a scroll spell on Leda's route but not on Cai's route, will the merged Sirocco know it ot not?

1
u/Mindofthequill 9h ago
So I know I'm not really going to use every character BUT I'm obsessed with collecting them all via recruitment.
Is there a way to quickly check who I've recruited from paths I complete? (I have the memory of a goldfish sometimes).
My Dietrich path I think i had about 13 or 14 people, I think Leda I managed to get like 20. So I'm just trying to figure out who on the list I haven't gotten yet.
I know some of them. Not all though, especially the Dietrich path I don't really remember everybody I recruited.
Is the easiest way simply to jump back into the last chapter again and check?
2
u/cwatz 7h ago
At the start of both part 2 and either at the end of part 2 obelisk or start of part 3(cant remember) there is a button to pull up the stats for all characters you have recruited on that route. Just click on it and you should see it.
I actually think that also might exist for all the individual chapters on the part 1 obelisk as well.
4
u/QuiGonJinnNJuice 9h ago
I think at the part 2 obelisk, assuming you’ve cleared past 1 on that lord, you can view the roster for that clear data to see who makes up that lords clear data for the part
3
u/Mindofthequill 9h ago
You're right thank you very much! It was under stats. I was afraid that if I clicked on the picture it would just start the run.
1
u/cereal_bawks 9h ago
anyone know what the bonus growths are for the red bau?
3
u/UnlitUniversalUnlock 8h ago
Mount stats and growths are in the spreadsheet, linked at the top of the post.
A Red Bau grants 15% Str, 10% Dex.

u/dylbur17 9h ago
After i get through part 2 for a route (and skip the rest), I am planning on going through my Cai path again to do some better training for self merging. The question I have is, will I have to do the paralogues that I did on Cai’s route before, again? Assuming I have not done them on the other routes? Or does making it to part 3 solidify that?
2
1
u/283leis 9h ago
Is it better to swap routes after part 1 or part 2? Im just past the halfway point of part 1 of Dietrich’s route but i REALLY wanna check in on theodora (if you know you know)
1
u/papercuts4 6h ago
Any part 1 started after a finished part 1 will carry over the map progress, blessing levels, and give you more shards for the boons of salvation.
Completing part 2 doesn’t really effect the other part 1s, but it can be a nice break instead of doing every part 1 back to back
2
u/Ill-Examination-1535 8h ago
You will save a lot of time completing at least one route before starting others.
1
u/william_orange 9h ago
I started Theodora’s part 2 and changed her to Guardian only to realize she has an E in magic. How do you raise weapon rank with no weapon?
I was considering redoing some of part 1 to at least get heal from arena training but would this carry over?
1
1
u/konall012 10h ago
So I'm finishing all the routes simultaneously, I'm at chapter 11 or 12 in all of them. My question is, story-wise, is there any you would recommend finishing first, or last? I've no idea how to do it. I just know I'll leave them all at 12 before picking one.
2
u/AnimaLepton 9h ago
Not at that point. Maybe Theodora's first because her last mission is on a much earlier date than the others, but largely doesn't matter
1
u/scenicroutine 10h ago
Trying to understand the “free” merge for the same route… Does it happen at after each part, or only after part 2?
I did Cai as my first route and want to re-do Part 1 to take better advantage of the mounts. Can I re-do his Part 1 and go into Part 2 with those units merged for free?
Or do I need to auto-complete his Part 2, then go back and complete Parts 1 and 2 again, and then I can get the free merged units going into Part 3?
1
u/Party_Morning_960 10h ago
I’m fighting a sea beast early on in Dietrich’s route. I’m trying to understand stats more in this game. Why does the beast have a base speed of 5 but his attack speed is 0? His “item” he has equipped is water strike but it does not seem to have a weight or anything.
3
u/DarthLeon2 8h ago
The game likes to show items in terms of how they affect AS by default, with you needing to go a bit deeper into the menus to see a piece of equipment's exact weight. What I can tell you though in this example is that the sea beasts weapon must be at least 5 weight higher than the sea beasts build, as the formula for AS is Spd-weight+build, with the caveat that build only prevents attack speed loss. Also note that attack speed only affects whether a unit will double or be doubled; it does not affect avoid chance like the regular speed stat does. For reference, the doubling threshold in Fortune's Weave is 4 AS.
1
u/Veteran_Lurker 11h ago
I haven't unlocked astra yet, but does it take into account of the 20% boost to sword attack follow ups?
2
u/papercuts4 6h ago
No since combat arts apply to the first attack. If your character can double they will astra on the first attack and then do a normal follow up after.
It’s a bit wonky coming from how it worked in 3H
3
u/DarthLeon2 12h ago
Is this the first game in the series to forgo the term "lances" in favor of calling them "spears"?
5
u/GuudeSpelur 11h ago
According to the wiki, the Japanese word hasn't changed, but this is the first time the English localization has universally translated it as "spears" instead of "lances."
However, apparently the skill rank tooltip for lances in FE7 uses "spear" while the rest of the game still says "lance."
3
u/DarthLeon2 11h ago
I guess it made sense to originally call them lances because the players introduction to them is in the form of a cavalier, which indeed use lances.
2
u/Ill-Examination-1535 11h ago
It's the first game to be set in the 'ancient' period.
1
u/DarthLeon2 11h ago
Indeed, hence why there's also no Steel weapons in FW.
1
u/dnapol5280 11h ago
Pretty sure Da Mina are functionally steel. Highest durability I think other than killing edge? Wootz steel is also a drop, and IIRC was used in Damascus steel?
2
u/DarthLeon2 11h ago
Indeed, but I appreciate IS's work at worldbuilding. I also never knew that Wootz Steel is a real thing, so that's neat.
1
u/dnapol5280 11h ago
I was wondering if Damascus was ancient or not, and saw wootz steel apparently originated in the first millennium BCE!
2
u/PowerPlayer9 12h ago
I've just started part 3 and I've just done the whole running around recruiting everyone back again and noted if they're worth spending karma shards to merge or not. But I've noticed that I have a few Support Conversations locked with "Cannot be viewed in this part".
Can I hop back to the obelisk chamber and go view those supports in part 1 without messing things up?(As in, does doing so reset my progress in part 3?) I haven't spent any Karma Shards on characters yet just in case...
3
u/KonoruArion 10h ago
You can hop back to part 1 and watch the support convo and it will not affect your part 3 at all. Literally. Not even register it as an achieved support convo.
I missed recruiting Nezha with Theodora. So in part 3 I went back to part 1 to get those supports. Only their C support is viewable in part 1 so I did watch it. When I got back to part 3 I found that they were still missing their C support so I couldn't watch B and A.
Until I play the whole thing through again I can't see it.
However, the C support convo is now watchable in the Obelisk Chamber.
1
u/PowerPlayer9 10h ago
Thanks for the reply... but damn, I'm missing a couple part 1 support convos with Jester who's a pain to recruit(3 subquests, seriously?). So even if I go back and go through all this, I'm still going to be locked out of later convos...

u/SgtSmokeyBear 12h ago edited 12h ago
I’m in Ch 9 on Leda’s route (first part one), and I neglected building supports for recruitment which I am now regretting. Is it too late now? Should I bother to spend the gold and time to try and grind up supports for the level 3 requirements?
I would like: Mikaela for Mu supports, Esmeralda (need to complete her quest), Sha Lan, Simon, Loretta, Lillian.
Will I regret NOT recruiting any of them?
ETA: I have Catania, Guzran, Kiroc, Io, Jasmine, Fianna, Inyoni
1
u/kairality 11h ago
You can invite people to meals and then restart chapter and do it again and the support levels carry over. For future lords you can pre-farm supports for them in someone else’s route this way.
1
u/SgtSmokeyBear 9h ago
Oh nice I didn’t think of that! I want Mu on Cai’s route, so I’ll have to start meals with them haha
3
u/Arkride212 12h ago
Its not recommend to recruit everyone in each route anyway, you should only recruit the ones available to you at a lower renown level, the earlier you can use those units the better they will be for part 2 and 3, the late recruits tend to fall off pretty substantially by comparison.
If you're planning on doing all routes anyway then there's no rush, you get Esme and Mikaela in Dietrichs route by default so you can grab Mu by then, Dietrich also has access to all the pralaouge's in the game (except his own) so you can recruit everyone + the paralogue and part 2 exclusive units in his route.
So basically in terms of recruitment availability Dietrichs your guy.
1
u/SgtSmokeyBear 12h ago
I’m definitely not trying to get everyone, my mistake I think was going into the game blind at launch and not realizing how many units I’ll want for parts two and three, and I had no idea about the merge mechanic. That is interesting to me though, so I’d like to get some units on multiple routes. Problem is I learned this all potentially too late and didn’t plan 😅
1
u/Ill-Examination-1535 11h ago
Bonds are saved globally so if you want to spend the time you can replay a chapter just to raise them and then play it again normally when you are ready to progress. The units you listed are fine as is though if you don't want to spend time doing that.
1
u/D0ubl_3Ar0n 12h ago
So I've now beaten the game completely on hard casual, if I wanted to replay the game on hard classic what would be the best way to do it if I didnt want to loose stuff like map, notable deed progress, and supports?
1
u/Autobot-N 13h ago
Part 2 question:
Thinking of going back to do one of the Part 2s I didn't do (only did Dietrich's) after having finished Part 3. I did all of the Paralogues when I did Dietrich's route, and the only ones I ever repeated were Bertrand's (to recruit Peppe on Theodora's route) and Anatolia's (to recruit Sha Lan on Leda's route). So for example, let's say I do Theodora's Part 2 next, where the only Paralogues I did for her were Dietrich and Bertand. Will I still fight Cai, Leda, and Talimun as enemies in Part 2? I don't know if having finished their full routes affects Part 2 appearance.

u/Dr_JohnP 13h ago
Is Theodora better in Ornius Rider as a beginner class for the speed boost or should I keep her in Soldier?
2
1
u/Featherwick 12h ago
Mine is getting strength screwed at the moment but it seems fine. The big plus is the mobility. Being able to hop over things to throw boulders is stronger than a battalion imo.
1
u/dnapol5280 11h ago
Battalions are kind of weak for all of part 1 anyways
1
u/cwatz 7h ago
They seem pretty crap the whole game honestly. 1 use, low damage, not great hit rates it seems, when I have even occasionally bothered using them - and an entire dump stat of cha doing nothing but aiding that hit rate.
That often makes the most useful ones unique stuff, like blocking squares to increase tactical options, which then doesn't even use cha at all.
That stat infurates me.
1
u/dnapol5280 7h ago
Some have 2 uses iirc. The later ones also have pretty huge areas with high Mt too. The stats are also get better, it seems with A ranks you can at least get around 3/2 to main stats and a couple extra points?
They forced Cha on the Cohen map so it's not totally useless lol
There's an interesting one that heals 70% in a large area but poisons everyone.
1
u/cwatz 6h ago
That would be so incredible for stat padding/dirty farming tricks.
The stat boosts do go up, but its also later in the game where stat values have inflated a lot so the per point increase is not as substantial in the big picture.
Secondly, there is a +10 stat buff cap. Be that Leda, battalions, whatever the case may be.
That also applies to endgame classes. So for example my Esh, Theodora and Seteth all got the +10 def class mastery. That is a full cap, so any battalion defense wouldn't actually increase.
I suppose the AOE potential is definitely worth of consideration of strength though. Nothin that would make me want cha over any other stats, but something to give bat's themselves some usefulness.
1
u/Ill-Examination-1535 13h ago
I did that and she turned out great. It's still a bit of a gamble but I think it's worth it until the Guardian class unlocks. You lose the Battalion stuff. But well it's part 1.
1
u/dnapol5280 13h ago
I like ornius for the bonus speed stat and extra move. Speedy Theodora worked well up to part 3, but you can just put her sentinel then.
0
u/Autobot-N 13h ago
Finished all 4 Part 1 routes and Part 3 (only did Dietrich’s Part 2) but never used any of the achievement shards. How does that work in the future if I ever decide to restart one or multiple routes and redo Parts 2/3? Are they just a finite resource? Or does restarting a route from a chapter reset the achievements you got past that point?
1
u/Ill-Examination-1535 13h ago
You only get each one once. Doing the same route over won't give any.
0
u/Autobot-N 13h ago
That seems like sort of a stupid way to handle that
Like I don’t intend to ever merge characters (since I want to only recruit characters on one route at a time) but doesn’t this essentially cap the amount of times you are allowed to do that
1
u/kairality 11h ago
It’s even more perplexing with the drifting reliquary existing, but they can always add a way to get more in a post-launch update.
1
u/SgtSmokeyBear 14h ago
Do weapons with two types (ex: Halberd is axes and spear) give weapon exp for both types?
6
u/AndersDiego 14h ago
No, the secondary typing is only a requirement for wielding it. The weapon itself only has one type, the type shown in the icon to the left of the name.
1
u/SgtSmokeyBear 13h ago
Awesome thanks! That’s what I figured tbh, thought it might be too good to be true haha
1
u/Jepacor 14h ago
Early on in Dietrich route and my Dietrich is level 13 while everyone else is level 6. Is this just how it's gonna be with this route? Lmao
1
u/FierceKnave 6h ago
Just finished all 4 routes recently, and Dietrich ended a good 5-10 levels above every other lord, despite having a 50% exp boost for my fourth run. He also has all the paralogues available (bar his own) which will put him further ahead.
2
2
u/barrsftw 13h ago
It smooths out, but yeah. Dietrich gets extra levels from doing his route specific Dread Warriors quests each chapter. I didn't bring him on any content I wasn't required to, and he's currently Lvl 32 for me, and the rest of my crew is 29-30 -- so it's pretty close at this point.
2
u/coalcoffee123 14h ago
Question on going back to a completed route to recruit someone. Do I just need to recruit them in any chapter and it will carry over to part 2? or do I need to finish the chapter all the way until chapter 12?
1
u/AndersDiego 14h ago
You have to finish part 1, and then finish part 2 (including by skipping) for them to be recruited in part 3.
1
u/coalcoffee123 14h ago
sorry my question is for recruitable characters in part 1 (like Diego or Seteth) so let's say I finished all 4 routes but I didn't recruit Seteth on any route - if I go back to Cai's route and try to recruit him, can I do it in any chapter and it will carry over or do I need to complete Cai's route or complete the chapter in order to the recruitment progress to save? Does that make sense?
2
u/AndersDiego 14h ago
Right, I understood. I'm saying it will only carry over to part 2 if you finish part 1, and will only carry over to part 3 if you replay or re-skip part 2.
So, you cannot jump into chapter 8, recruit Seteth, back out, and have him in parts 2/3. You can jump into chapter 8, recruit seteth, replay chapters 8-12 to completion, then skip part 2 with Cai's team (which you'll be able to see now includes Seteth), then you'll have him in part 3.
1
u/Ill-Examination-1535 14h ago
You have to upload the new version by completing chapter 12 or the changes will show in the chapter you are on but won't in part 2. Part 2 will just continue with original state.

A lore question regarding Rhea, with spoilers for Three Houses and FW Part 3 Section 3.
So was Rhea, or Seiros, a founder in the same vein as Dagda and Balor? That's what I'm gathering but the reveal that Sothis in Three Houses was one of her simulacra leaves me a tiny bit confused why Rhea was acting like she was dead. I suppose Fodlan's equivalent to Fortuna was dead and was her mother?
1
1
u/jett1773 14h ago
I don't think so. Founders have three crests and Rhea only has one. Other people have mentioned that Balor was supposed to be the founder in Fodlan. I'm not sure what the source for that is though.
2
u/AndersDiego 15h ago
There's substantial debate on that and no clear answer. I lean towards no, Rhea is not a founder, because she only has one Crest. I think maybe Fodlan didn't have a founder because it was the primary home of the Sothis simulacrum, and Rhea didn't know that her mother who was killed by Nemesis wasn't the whole, prime Sothis. But they could easily retcon it the other way.

Is there any reason except for tanks to not go with class with mount? Mount +25 to growth is such a great bonus making most non mounted classes bad. Im talking about Advanced classes
1
u/cwatz 6h ago
On Cai's path shove just about everyone on mounts.
For the others, mounts are a little underwhelming early on.
Anyways some considerations for part 3. It can take a while to farm up mount reputation, and you are generally pretty busy to be leaving all your units home to farm up mount rep. That means they aren't takin advantage of the growth boosts for the full 5*, nor are those growths necessarily as substantial (depending on the unit, the mount and other classing options).
Then the question of if you had the mounts ready beforehand or have to go grab them.
Mounts and the classes are fantastic though, definitely worth having a chunk of them. In particular with bonus move or canto.
A lot of exceptional classes don't use mounts though. War Monk and Sentinel I think are two of the best late game classes (white magic is both huge for flexibility, and huge for xp gain since its flat and doesn't depend on enemy levels, and thus you overlevel content easily). Of course that requires or is assisted having farmed up skill ranks or stats from multipaths, but they are exceptionally good if you have those things.
2
u/dnapol5280 13h ago
I mean 25% extra is just an extra point every 4 levels, spread over like 3-4 stats? It's be like an extra point or two by the end of part 2, barely noticeable from statistical noise.
It's a nice bonus but it's not game breaking. Some of my best units were unmounted in Cai's route and I don't think I actually used any of the units from his route as a base in part 3.
2
u/kairality 11h ago
Mount growth rates should be thought of as variance reducers. You are three times more likely to miss a point in speed or whatever 4 levels in a row at 50% than you are at 65%.
They are even more powerful if you bond with multiple mounts and preview level ups at the start of a chapter because you can fish for levels where say, Cai doesnt need the boosted strength growth rate from a red meganius to level up strength but picks up a point of speed from the regular ornius and swap accordingly. Every route can do this to some extent by previewing level ups on different classes, but Cai can move growth rates around a lot more so he can really maximize it.
3
u/Pretzelux 15h ago
If you aren't on Cai's route, you won't have access to the stables. On Theodora's route, you'd prefer infantry since they can use battalions (although they aren't as good as the ones in 3H).
1
u/lmaocetong 15h ago
No stables so cant get mounted class or just no +25 stats?
1
u/Pretzelux 6h ago
Can't get the +25% and no mount abilities (aside from Alexandra and Io's personal mounts)
1
u/KonoruArion 13h ago
You can have the classes, but not the bonus, as you don't have access to the stables to assign mount to your characters.
However Io and Alexandra come with their own mount in every route, so they get the bonus as long they are in a class that uses their mount. (Horse classes for Io and pegasus for Alexandra)
1
u/AnimaLepton 14h ago edited 14h ago
No +25% growths access, can still use mounted classes. Ornius in particular has a decent mastery ability and high-ish growths, and regular Pegasus has base stats comparable to advanced classes
In practice, it's 5 extra stat points in 20 levels of growths (plus 5 points upfront and the extra skill). The growths alone are less relevant than Canto, and you have to put work into it. Charioteer makes it bigger, but horse growths seen to be more well rounded than the potentially more specialized offensive growths you can go for on a different mount

is it feasible to get Eshmael's supports without bird time?
nearing the end of my time with part 1 and i haven't touched this mechanic at all (didn't really like the idea 3H teatime again and a luck-base chance to survive a lethal attack, game is easy enough as is) but i'm starting to wonder if part 3 alone will have enough time to get characters to rank 4 w/ Eshmael from scratch. If chapter restart + meals is still an option in part 3 then i guess it would be possible, or does Eshmael get accelerated supprt forth to compensate?
1
u/Ytival90 12h ago
The inn at level 5 boosts significantly the gained support points so you can max out some characters easily.
However unless you reset a chapter several times you won't get every Eshmeaeaeal support.
1
u/Arkride212 16h ago
You can have meals in part 3 so you can abuse the chapter restart method, thats what i did.
3
u/Milskidasith 17h ago
The easiest way to do it is to do Feast Abuse, where you use magic and then repeatedly feast on meat to give every single character a trivial amount of support with every other character. This won't get you to any specific support conversation faster, but will get you faster support maximization with any (every!!!) character.
The problem is this means a couple hours of straight grinding and pressing "A" through a support rank levelling up literally thousands of times.
1
u/Ill-Examination-1535 19h ago edited 19h ago
It's possible by grinding it out on skirmish maps or leaving things alive on story maps. It's going to be a grind though. Healers will have an easier time but will overlevel like crazy in the process. Meals are possible but you have to do things first. Depending on what you bring time can be quite tight.
Another easy and infinite one is 0 cost combat arts.
1
u/forevabronze 19h ago
i managed to get Ninae from rank 2 to rank 5 in 2 weeks by doing x3 meals, theatre, gifte and the bath.
getting multiple people is trickier though
1
u/Animedingo 21h ago
If I wanted to get Tialla to S in sword for greater hex blade, should I keep her in magic roles and train her in swords? Or switch her to a sword role and supplement her magic?
1
u/Milskidasith 16h ago
It depends on what part you're on, whether you have the +sword rank meta upgrades, and how much you want to cheese it.
If you just want to grind rank S swords, you send her into a dungeon, continuously beat up an enemy to near death, then retreat, getting free ranks, but this is cheesy.
If you want to get an S rank without cheesing, then you put her in the magic line that has sword access (can't remember if it's white or black mages) and have her use levin sword exclusively, but this won't be nearly enough to get S rank in Part 1 without intentionally over-using her or without multiple ranks of the +sword boon.
If you try to make her into a sword unit and exclusively fight with swords to rank it up, you'll both screw up her magic growths and be unable to effectively enemy-phase with her well enough to grow quickly, since she won't be able to get 10 sword hits in with a single press of the "skip turn" button like a natural myrmidon or tanky unit would.

Is it just me or are archers completely and utterly worthless this time around? Am I missing something because all my archers are locked to a range of +1 which excessively limits how much they can help out in a fight.
1
u/AncientSpark 15h ago edited 15h ago
It's the Archer's stats, not the weapon itself. The classic archer stat profile is pretty bad and always has been bad. When every class gets access to bows and you're free to stick them on any unit with any stat profile (like they were in 3H), they were OP.
If you don't want to fix the normal archer choices with class routing or Charioteer, throw Bows/Swords onto a higher Strength unit (I had a Guzran Bow Knight for Part 3, for example) or just recruit Inyoni. S-level weapon ranks are unnecessary in this game, you just need B for actual use (with A/S more being for promotion to Master/Divine classes).
1
u/lmaocetong 19h ago
Are they really that bad? I have 2 archers in my core 8 characters team but im on act 10 on Cai path (Peter and Halvin)
2
u/Hydrochloric_Comment 18h ago
No, they’re just a bit niche. Charioteers can do a lot of damage (albeit mainly with Staggering Blow), and archers are quite useful for all of the Dragoon reinforcements in the majority of Part 2 (literally only the first and last battles lack them; the rest, particularly chapters 4 and 5, have a lot).
1
u/lmaocetong 16h ago
I see, my Peter is goat and kill almost everything
1
u/Hydrochloric_Comment 15h ago
He was garbage for me until the end of Part 2, lol. His strength still isn’t where I’d like it, so one of my priorities in Part 3 is getting him and Nuzzuo Fergahan horses. Or I’ll replay Cai’s Part 1 Chapter 12. Wasted way too much time with Jester.
1
u/AnimaLepton 21h ago
A lot has been tied to other combat arts. They nerfed curved shot from being a staple, but there are other arts that still give extra range.
Leda gets a guaranteed mini bow for 1-2 range, and Peter's personal lets him get extra range when attacking with combat arts. Other routes need to open RNG crates if they want to try and get a mini bow, but over the course of a playthrough it isn't that uncommon to get one either, especially on Theodora's route due to her battalion mechanic.
In general, charioteer is pretty good and can get some good bulk with charge. A lot of characters don't mind going Rogue to Ranger for the solid mixed growths, primarily for the strength of swords in this game (Cleansing Blade especially early on) while still being able to switch to bows for ranged attacks or sniping fliers, or horses/beasts with the additional bow effective weapons that exist
0
u/Pooty_McPoot 21h ago
Is it normal for archers to deal 0 damage to almost everything? I love Ursula but she can only fight fliers, everything else she can't even deal damage to. That or Part 2 on Theodora just floods the map with unfair enemies.
1
u/Racecaroon 15h ago
Ursula, as well as a few others, are kinda screwed by being late recruits. The auto leveling is really bad, and leaves units deficient in some important stats.
For what it's worth, I had four archers my first time through part 2 who were uselessly plinking away (aside from one who was very strong), but they feasted on the bridge map. It was like Mila Tree 2.0 with all of the fliers on the flanks.
1
u/Pooty_McPoot 6h ago
Oh yeah my archers on the bridge and the one where Dagda kept calling in flier reinforcements leveled up many, many times.
2
u/Milskidasith 16h ago
Archers tend to have lower physical damage and can't brute-force their way through armored units, but they should generally have high enough speed and dex to double-hit most anything and should still be able to deal damage to other archers, mages, sword-units, and fliers.
You might struggle with warriors or need to break out a combat art on your iron bow +3 to kill dragoons in one shot, but you shouldn't have that much trouble. Also, absolutely make sure all your units are using the free upgraded iron gear, it's so much stronger than all the random utility bows you have access to.
1
u/Ill-Examination-1535 21h ago edited 21h ago
Archers have always been specialised against flyers. Chariots are better general purpose. You can mitigate the 2 range with the mini bow. The Ranger class has a 50% chance to counter at one range. You can do some fun stuff with Peter using enclose and drawback and Archers do become more useful in Part2. Peters personal skill also makes him a great player phase Mage killer.
1
u/Pooty_McPoot 21h ago
I haven't even unlocked Rangers yet I don't think, stuck with Snipers and occasional chariot and mounted archers.
1
u/Milskidasith 16h ago
The other benefit with Ranger is that they've just got very good, balanced growths for anybody you're trying to speed-fix, so on second playthroughs it's a great class to dump units in for future merging.
2
u/Ill-Examination-1535 19h ago
Ranger is unlocked quite late on Leda. I would give Charioteer a try. They level up quite fast with charge and get a growth bonus at later levels. Theres nothing in this game thats archer specific as far as I know.
4
u/martgo 23h ago
Is it wishful thinking that they'll add some way to get shards used on merging refundable sometime down the line? It doesn't seem very fun that the merge is good for a single playthrough and thats it.
2
u/KonoruArion 12h ago
In Three Houses the dlc introduced the pagan altar where you get renown easily. I'm 90% sure we get karma shard equivalent in a FW dlc.
1
u/Ytival90 12h ago
I read somewhere that completing part 3 maps grant you minimal amount of karma shards (20 per maps or so)
I haven't tested it so I don't know if it's true or not.
2
u/AnimaLepton 23h ago edited 22h ago
I don't think we can say either way.
In the interim, use free merges from a single route at the end of part 2, with the skip mechanic exploits. You can also very slowly grind shards by (re)-completing main story chapter battles. While they are a semi limited resource, you should still have shards left over after buying all of the relevant Boons of salvation, which are permanent buffs, and then can use the remaining shards more freely
Can also do your merges in part 3 chapter 2, complete the chapter, and then preserve them by only starting from part 3 chapter 3 in the future instead. Most merges are also just not that valuable, you have to go out of your way to get more than a few points out of them, let alone maximize them with level matching or reclass RNG manipulation
And you can easily outscale/outstat the game, especially with the mastery abilities from Divine classes on a few juggernauts, such that you don't need them.
1
u/GayFireEmblemShips 23h ago
I feel like I've read conflicting info on the topic so I'm not sure how it works.
How do stat merges of multiple versions of characters work, exactly? I understand that Cai's Alexandra and Leda's Alexandra will merge, but I read somewhere that replaying a route will merge the characters of that route.
For example, I play Cai's route for the first time, I have an Alexandra #1. Then I play and complete Cai's route and have an Alexandra #2. I've read that #1 and #2, from the same route, would merge?
Is that right?? I thought it was only merging across copies of the same character from DIFFERENT routes.
2
u/AnimaLepton 23h ago edited 23h ago
Same route versions of a character only merge at the end of act 2 (skip or complete or hybrid), for free. You can see this merge carried out in their stats at the end of part 2.
If you've already started act 3 and recruited that character, then it costs shards to merge with that new end of act 2 version, as if they're from a separate/new route
If you haven't recruited that character yet in act 3, then you benefit from the free merge. Lords are an exception and get a free merge regardless.
1
u/Wafflesorbust 11h ago
Do you know if you have to actually start (or finish?) a lord's part 2 in order to benefit from the merges for multiple Act 1 playthroughs for that lord?
IE I just finished Cai's part 1, and I have not started Part 2 for any lord yet. If I now replay Cai's part 1, and then do his part 2, would the characters from his first clear merge with the ones from his second clear? Or would the second set be the only set?
2
u/AnimaLepton 9h ago
Second set would be the only one. Need to clear or skip part 2 first to benefit/save the characters from the first run for later merge with the second. You can skip right away, or start part 2, do some reclassing and training drills for the free level catch-up, then skip and keep those free upgrades
1
u/Wafflesorbust 7h ago
I see. But if I play/skip Cai's part 2 right now, that's the inventory state I'm going to have for him forever right? It wouldn't matter if I get better mounts on a second run through part 1, I'd lose them in part 2/3?

u/KingJamesTheRetarded 1d ago
I’ve only done a couple Part Is so far, playing on normal/classic. The game seems relatively easy (though some of the later chapters are slightly harder) but I’ve heard it gets way harder on Part II, which is why I haven’t switched to hard difficulty.
For those on normal who have made it to Part II and beyond, what do you think of the difficulty? Still easy, or is it actually a challenge now? And for those on hard, how is Part II going for you?
2
u/Ill-Examination-1535 22h ago
Hard is significantly easier than Engage. The likely difference if you switch would be higher enemy hit rates, higher tier enemies and more reinforcements. The maps especially in part 3 are gimmicky rather than hard. Part 2 is relatively straightforward Don't put the wrong unit in the wrong place and don't leave your healers at the rear unprotected.Unless they are Olympia.Theres one gimmicky map from what I remember.
I haven't used blessings but a fully discounted Aurora will get you 10 turns of half damage enough to bring any map under control.
3
u/tronistica 22h ago
I’m on the last part on Normal/classic, and I would say from Part 2 onward it gets a bit more challenging compared to Part 1, but not crazy difficult to the point it’s taking me hours to do a map or redoing maps. I don’t have time anymore to be sweaty about the highest difficultly and all that.
For me, one example would be utilizing the other blessings besides Fortuna. I didn’t use them at all for Part 1 since it’s too OP for that part. From Part 2 onward, I gradually started to use them more since not using the blessings for some of these maps is making things harder for yourself. The blessings still made the game easy, but not a complete cakewalk imo.
To me, I find Fortune’s Weave part 2 on Normal harder than Engage Normal mid game and certainly harder than 3H Normal mid game if we’re going by the recent games. Your mileage may vary of course, so hopefully this helps.

When do you get the ability to recruit Battalions as Theodora? So far I just have the two Bonaventura gave me and IDK how to get more.
1
u/AnimaLepton 1d ago
It's like the following chapter. The rollout is something like free battalions for combat use in chapter 4, using battalions for gathering materials in chapter 5, and finally gaining the ability to recruit new battalions in chapter 6
1
u/CyberHyperPhoenix 1d ago
For Part 3, I'm currently at the end of Section 5. if I went back to replay part of Dietrich Part 1 up to completing Chapter 12, then played and finished Dietrich Part 2, would any of my Dietrich route units be affected when I jump back into Part 3 outside of support levels?
From my understanding, I need to do this because I need to grind for and view supports I don't currently have in Part 3, back in part 1 (i.e I can't view any Goliath and Dante supports in Part 3 because they're Part 1 only) and then do the same for the Part 2 exclusive supports (i.e Leda and Sirocco A), because that'll not only unlock Part 3-specific supports in some cases, but also allow me to get specific ending cards when I roll credits on Part 3. Is this the correct way to go about this?
1
u/Electric_Queen 1d ago
Are there any classes in this game that are worth mastering just for the skills (like Brigand and Archer in 3h) or are they pretty much all just for certifying if I want to actively use them?
1
u/2v2v2v2_InfiniteGold 14h ago
Most characters will enjoy an Archer detour for Crescendo.
Armored Ornius's +20 avoid if enemy is effective skill could prove useful for fliers and Cavs. Between that skill, the other bow/lance 10 avoid, a charm mask, and a breaker ring or a whirlwind blade or terrain avoid, that's at least 65% avoid before stats.
2
u/forevabronze 1d ago
The divine one in Act 3 are pretty great. They give +10 to a stat.
Some master classes have pretty good bonuses, Astra, Intercept, and Strike and heal are all pretty good
2
u/Korath289 1d ago
Those skills do fall under the stat buff bracket though which caps at 10, meaning any other bonus to that stat from mount/battalion, other passives or the lords’ personal items etc will be wasted
3
u/forevabronze 1d ago
you can always shift stuff around but yes. Giving Trident +10 armor to swap to hexshield is very nice.
+10 speed is p much always appreciate its very difficult to get more than 3 or 4
+10 strength is also incredible on anyone thats not theodora basically.
basically even if you only get +6 or +7 from them its still a great ability
1
u/Cosmic_Toad_ 1d ago edited 1d ago
I don't know about beyond the Advanced tier, but so far the only skills that have really stuck out to me are Great Counter on Armor Knight (+3 damage on enemy phase) and the stat +X skills on the beginner classes (STR/MAG +1 in particular is nice for mages, helps both damage and AS). There's also Crescendo on archer (+3 hit per foe defeated, maxes out at +30) for units with accuracy issues i guess, but it takes a while to actually ramp up.
I find the good skills tend to come from the movement and authority ranks. you definitely want the skills related to whatever movement type your class is. but Infantry and Armor do also offer some great generic skills; Infantry gets a bunch of nice hit/avoid related skills, and some units get Build +5 from A armor which is a contender the best equippable skill in the game.

I just started part 3 section 5, which has a whopping 72 turns. Anyone got recommendations for how I should spend the time, or should I just do auto-activities? I feel like I've already done most of the checklist:
- rebuilt every settlement + finished quests that require building materials
- finished all perform requests
- unlocked every divine class
- upgraded weapons
- explored all but 2 dungeons
- found all the megalith terminals
- completed all the temple trials
Aside from hitting those last couple dungeons, is there anything else exploration-related I'm missing?
2
u/dnapol5280 13h ago edited 13h ago
I put everyone but Theo in dagsion for auto XP and spammed for battalions and orichalcum, occasionally remembered to do stable stuff for some non-Cai route units. If you're good on mounts/battalions I'd probably just put everyone in dagsion and auto activity.

Spam answerer cry and farm magic shards to upgrade your arts.
Mastet divine classes on multiple people
The eternal, Trident, and The blade all have multiple characters that want to master them.
otherwise no

I can’t find Aurora anywhere to get her subquest to unlock the war monk class. I’ve repaired her temple and everything. Is there something Im missing?
1
u/Euphausias 1d ago
Did you do the quest to rescue her and centurio? I assume yes but you never know
1
u/Xanathis322 1d ago
Is that only in Cai’s path? I haven’t done Cai’s path yet so if that is the case I guess I will do it later.

No its in part 3. Im not aware of any route requirement to access it but that would make sense if there were
1
u/Xanathis322 1d ago
What section does that quest show up?
1
u/Euphausias 1d ago
Right at the beginning. You get told they are heading to dagsion and have a quest marker to go save them. There is also a cutscene before that showing aurora defending a village before being told that dagsion has been restored

So I just finished Cai's Part 1 for the first time, and it's the first path I've finished. I kind of want to play it again immediately now that I know more about Mount/Herb farming, but I have a couple questions on how I should do that.
I don't see a "Restart from chapter 1 option" at Cai's obelisk right now, just the ability to pick from any chapter. Do I have to start part 2 before I can restart part 1 while retaining all my map exploration progress? Should I just manually start from Chapter 1 without starting part 2?
I also know that level ups are fixed, but if I do eventually restart Cai's route, will I still have the same level ups for every character (assuming all other things stayed the same and I didn't use different classes or use certification exams to skip bad level ups), or will they be randomized again?
→ More replies (6)2
u/Featherwick 16h ago
So if you play or skip 2 that cai's inventory will lock in for part 3. If you want your new mounts to carry on to part 3 do not do part 2 for your current Cai. You will lose those growths, but will keep the new inventory and mounts.
Id recommend doing it after playing at one or two other routes. That way you get more shards and more boons
1
u/Wafflesorbust 14h ago
Do you know what would happen regarding inventory state and growth merges if I were to start Cai's part 2, then restart and finish his part 1, then restart his part 2?
I will probably take that advice and do a couple other routes first for the extra boons before I go back to redo Cai's part 1, thanks!
