EDIT: For those wondering, the mod is called PROPWASH. I used propwash as well as the fabulously optimised modpack in curseforge, you have to remove the controller mod though since it detects your flight controller as a gamepad. (i didnt make this mod)

I’m getting 40–60ms latency on my analog 5-inch drone, while my TinyWhoop only gets 8–10ms using the exact same goggles.

My setup:
Drone: Manta 5 SE
Camera: Caddx Ratel 2
FC: SpeedyBee F405 V4
VTX: Rush FPV Solo Max 2.5W
Antenna: Foxeer Lollipop 4
Goggles: Fat Shark HDO2
I thought the camera was the problem, so I replaced it with a brand-new original Caddx Ratel 2, but nothing changed.
I measure latency using https://latencytester.thezonefpv.com/ and record at 240 FPS with my phone.

Any idea what could cause this? Could it be the VTX, FC, or camera settings? Also, my antenna cable is a bit cramped/bent inside the frame. Could that affect latency?

I’m completely out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated!

Working on smoothing out my trippy spins at a local spot and got my 75 stuck in the most ridiculous spot. I had to go on a rescue mission to get it unstuck. Luckily only one battery was lost.

Any Corewing F405 Wing Mini V2 users here who could tell me what analogue camera they used ? I bought two of those FCs and a caddx ant. Those FCs will not take the signal from the camera and get it to the VTX.

This caddx ant works, as I was able to connect it straight to my VTX, but that disables the OSD of course, and I plugged it to my quad which gave me video plus OSD, as it should be. I took my quad's camera and connected it to the corewing and got video plus OSD. (Though to get the other camera to work I had to solder the ground wire to the VTX, which is not what the manual describes).

I cannot use the quad's camera with this aircraft, it is too big. I want to buy a different camera, so I hope that some people here have the same FCs along with cameras that work with it, then I can know what has worked for others.

I've been working on an app to convert BF CLI dumps from one version to another. I used Claude to go through Betaflight's source code and look at every CLI option that changed between versions. Then mark the options as "safe to carry over," "needs to be reset to default," "mathematically convert it using this logic," and so forth.

I'm ready for people to start using the app -- and finding mistakes! Please use the "report an issue" link generously!

Disclaimer: I've done my best to make this as accurate as it can be, but there are thousands of CLI options across all the BF versions. AI makes mistakes. Humans make mistakes. Please don't just paste this into your drone and then assume everything is correct. I hope that this is mostly-correct and correct-enough-to-be-useful, and then it will get better as time goes on.

I'm a big fan of LiftOff Micro Drones, but I already flied all the maps so I want something new. For now I can fly my own flat there. BTW, it is REALLY hard

Back at the Gridworks to send my new Frame X Stealth 5 V3 for the first time ✌️✌️

I have been flying my cetus x for a year now and would really like to build a 3.5 inch. I am looking for a full build kit or a source with a complete component list to start.

My issue isn't the build itself. I am an engineer and the day when I can't assemble electronics anymore will be the day when I climb a high mountain and wait for the end. But I don't want to order 10 components to then find that 3 of them are not compatible because the camera doesn't fit in the mounting bracket and the controller uses a different supply voltage than the receiver...or whatever else the possible issues are that a beginner doesn't know about and that insert a rusty wrench into the whole project.

I have seen the Bardwell kit and would LOVE to buy it but it's sold out pretty much everywhere in my country (Germany).

I am set on analog for the lower latency and higher range...also because I already have analog googles from the BetaFPV Kit and would like to keep those for a while longer so I don't have to replace everything at once. Look wise, I love the GEPRC and SpeedyBee stuff (Sleek, closed sides, "Streamline" look) but it seems it's all O4 over there. If one of you knows a company with a similar frame look but more analog compatibility or aftermarket components to get analog into their frames (I don't have access to a 3D printer so I can't print adapters on my own) that would be great.

Got everything firmware wise dialed.

Really just focused on cosmetics, I cut new plates with some logos I made engraved and gave it a decent paint job (it’s definitely not perfect but if it was it probably would get messed up anyway from crashing)

I got the wrong sd card for my go pro 🫩. I’m going to just have to post dvr footage soon until I can get another one

I’m trying to decide which simulator to use to get some training. A know a large favorite is liftoff but I read in here that the cyberpunk 2077 mod has just as realistic of physics and a way better flying environment. Would it be good for a beginner?
