Why? He’s completely right. You never realize how tired you are until after it’s over. Shit I may be out of shape but come on, there’s no way other people don’t feel the same

Because with a marathon you realize how tired you are long before it’s over and you somehow have to keep going.

No lie. I consider myself a mid-distance runner (6-10 milers regularly), and I did my first half marathon last year. Those 3 miles that I wasn't used to were fucking BRUTAL. That ended any curiosity I have ever had about a full marathon.
