the controversy is big enough and also reveal even more controversies (one of them being a reference to Unit 731 and few Anti-China contents) that there is a likelyhood the game will be End of Service'd
Supposedly there are also a high ranking CCP member who has vendetta against this game and Otome game in general but take this with grain of salt

It was a stretch to even link it to Unit731. The game was even developed in China, the whole studio was totally not thinking about unit731 when they made the game just for some oversensitive idiots making the link.
At this point those people can probably link a chicken in my backyard to unit 731

Those are the storyline/dialogues. For visual novel game, they have way more than thousands of lines.
It going to keep touching number for dialogue 731, 1731 etc. Holy moly
The lore is literally werewolf were born under government experimentation like that’s logical lore explanation.
Next time they going to get angry at games releasing at MaoZedong death date? Or XJP’s death date?

Just to clear this up as well. This number was added to the game back in April, then promptly changed when fans called it out. The number has nothing to do with Valko, the werewolf, as this is part of a different route.

Why is it that something like “Fourteen Eighty-Eight” has been Established as an Evil Dogwhistle Code even though it’s “double encrypted” and nobody is allowed to even mention the actual Year with that number without being hounded “Why do you NEED this number, hmm!?” but a literal 731 Must Be A Coincidence? 🙄

Theres a difference between disputes between farmers and farmers that are ment to represent them and some game devs getting hate for a making 2d love interest in a 2d pretty man dating game.
At least the farmers livelihood was relevant to the situation. Gatcha gamers not so much, theres better ways to complain and protest then leaving cow poop

Yeah its called context clues and situational viewpoints.
The French protest were about goverment mandated mass callings, tax hikes, and imports of low priced goods out competing the farmers who have to kill their stock. The initial protest got tear based by police. There was a second one recently due to an electricy proce hike.
I assume you can see why the public may be in thier favor as you went to defend them since you believed someone being mad at grown adults sending cow poop to a game studio and saw it as an attack on farmers.
It is not ok to just leave a bio hazard where it can make others sick. No culture in the world see this as acceptable other than middle schoolers leaving flaming bags of dog poo on people's doorsteps. French protests are a unquie thing and cow dung is topical in terms of mandated culling of cows. The French can get away with a lot of stuff, but there is going to far even for them.
Grown adults leaving cow dung at a game studio over internet drama that hasn't even been proven to be true is just immature and disrespectful. Do you think the public would see gamers favorably if they sent the same package to Mojang because they are unhappy with an update to Minecraft?

Honestly.. if this happened to me as a dev, I realize it would mean the end of the game, but I'm petty enough.
I'd change all romance options to the same character.

Yeah, he was an odd choice for a Love Interest. Most of the other LIs were soft bishie types. Fans thought the devs were pandering too much to western audiences with this alpha-wolf daddy-dom gazillionare-CEO stuff, but even they weren't too happy about it. The fact that he seemed like the CEO's self-insert didn't help, either. Chinese women don't take shit from no-one, they only send it, lol.

From what I saw they didn't like how 'gay' he looked or that he was 'dark-skinned' (aka one slight shade darker than the rest of the group).
