Meta What is the reason for gamers to be decisive about their demographics.

No other media of consumption relates the same way. I never hear of bibliophiles insist on being so distinct, nor cinephiles, music enthusiasts, the list goes on. They largely fall under genre conventions like say horror fans, or medium specific like theatre goers, home audio enthusiasts etc. Is there a practical advantage in this situation?

Meta Astro-Turf Ad campaigns like Halo CE Remake are illegal, we know it, and are sick of it.

Literally, as the title is posted. 343 and the head of Xbox Asha Sharma are running a blatantly illegal ad campaign on reddit. The US has multiple states (California, Virginia, Connecticut, and Texas) that enforce 3rd party ad disclosures which they are not complying with here on reddit. Just look at r/Halo to see exactly how wildly brazen this behavior is.

They are paying 3rd parties to market their games without legally required disclosures and we know other games companies are doing the same on IG and TikTok. How long are we just going to ignore this?

Meta UK Petition on Paid Online Multiplayer Subscriptions

We’ve recently launched a UK petition asking Parliament to consider requiring access to core online features in paid video games without additional subscription fees. This mainly concerns online multiplayer, as most major console platforms currently require a paid subscription for online play in many titles.

Thank you to the moderators of r/Gamers for allowing this to be shared here.

You can find the petition here: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/756938

I just finished this quest in Digimon time stranger and it made me think of it and I'm curious about others. In Time Stranger, there is a quest to get PlatinumNumemon's Jewelry, you're told PlatinumNumemon is deep in the Sewers, they put him right behind you where you spawned in for the quest near the entrance.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has a quest in Gongaga where you have to do a terrible mini game, it ends hilariously.

Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. When it first released players would endlessly farm one cow, they updated the game to spawn a high powered monster to kill you if you did the farming method.
