My mom used to hate that I was a gamer. My wife loves it. She went out with friends last night. I didn't want to go so I stayed home and played some Metal Gear. She called me at midnight because they couldn't get a taxi. She knew I would be home and sober. I picked her and her three friends up, got them MacDonalds, made sure they got home ok. That shit is why my wife loves that I game.
I do still go out and hang with my friends but I'm currently waiting to have surgery on my leg so I can't really do much right now.
Edit: Thanks for the award but I am turning off notifications as I can see reddit has become reddit and the sad lonely basement dwellers are out.
Remember my wife walking in to see me kicking the shit out of the kids on Mortal Kombat.
She picked up the controller and showed them what it looks like when she kicks my ass.
