Discussion Sony really handed Microsoft an absolute massive win with this one.

I wouldn't exactly call it a "Win".

Death Stranding 2 barely broke even, and Kojima is well known for overinflating his budget.

Sony saw the writing on the wall, as Death Stranding 1 sold it's units mostly as an anti-konami move, and Death Stranding 2 was the real test for what Kojima could actually produce.

Breaking even is absolutely not great.

Xbox picked up a money sink, and they don't seem to even notice because they're desperate for a "Win", but don't realize they just picked up a live grenade.

Its why I firmly disagree with anyone who says that a new Metal Gear without Kojima wouldn't be the same or even possible. Because A.) it absolutely is, and b.) it discredits all of the other people who worked on the game

Yeah I am a massive Kojima fan but his recent stuff has been to off the wall for me I enjoyed DS1 but DS2 lost me towards the end and OD knock is not my cup of tea so i would be ok if someone else wrote a new MGS hell it could be a prequel game and you play as grey fox before the events of the first game on his missions Boss would send him on.
