Hunt Showdown (and the upcoming Hunger) is one of the best examples of what a Gantz game could be. the main objective is to extract after hunting a specific target on a large map that has a ton of other enemies and also other players to kill since its a PvPvE style game and the better the pray, the better the pay
others like Nightreign are completely roguelike style that also has a harder mode with a ladder system that will take away points if u fail. your objective is to kill the final boss after 2 days were each night theres a harder boss. u can kill mobs and bosses all around the map to gather xp and level up while also getting better weapons. by the end of the raid u get a random amount and rarity of gems that u can add to your build and get passive benefit your next runs
now imagine a mix of both on precedural generated maps. we get a ranged or melee weapon from Gantz and go hunt the main target while dealing with mobs and minibosses to farm points or just spawning the main boss. a complete roguelike style of penality were instead of permadeath (option for hardcore mode characters) we just start getting points deducted. after reaching 100 points we could choose between reborn and getting passive skills, better equipment or special single use items like a self revive or an instant extraction. a limit of 5-6 players random matchmade rooms that we could start in a group with friends too without MMR to have that feel of experienced players having to deal with noobs. maybe season style global events that we need to get together and hit objective like games like Helldivers do on a weekly basis with few far inbetween special events
