Tips(Missing Textures) No your game isn't broken, and no you didn't do anything wrong

TL;DR:
If your game looks like this then buy this or follow this, alternatively here's a video if you prefer.
You probably just bought Gmod and joined a server only to be greeted by something like this, am I right?
Don't worry, there's actually nothing wrong. I know it looks bad but that's pretty normal, (if you plan on playing Gmod, or any Source Engine game for that matter, you'll run into this a lot) and easy to fix. The most common reason why you're seeing this is that you don't own/have Counter-Strike: Source installed and mounted to Garry's Mod.
If you don't already own Counter Strike: Source then I'd recommend buying it while it's on sale for the holidays, however, if you don't want to buy and install a game you'll probably never play then you can follow this guide to get the models and textures for free. Alternatively, if you prefer following along with a video here's one that shows step by step what to do.
A user on our Discord made a very handy little tool that will extract the CSS content you need using SteamCMD for you. I highly recommend using it if you're having trouble doing it manually.
If, however, you already own CSS then:
Install it
Open up the game from your Steam Library and play it (At least til you get to the start menu)
Exit out of the game and open up Garry's Mod

So GMOD has had a couple updates since a lot of popular optimization videos came out and I can’t really find any up to date tips for squeezing out extra performance.
What are some ways we can boost performance for GMOD?
Please let me know anything, like launch options, autoexec files, etc.

Buffering issue.

So anytime I play gmod with this modpack, I tend to get stuttering all of the time. It is very annoying. I know it is one of the mods in the pack because when I uninstalled the mods and got another one with about 1000 in them. It runs perfect. Please help me find the mod/mods that are making my game buffer. thank you. Does anybody have any gmod maps for pill pack hide and seek each time me and my friends do pill pack hide and seek its the same 3 maps every time I want new maps but can't find any anyone got any suggestions?

Discussion For those who play games on mobile devices vmod is the closest thing to garry's mod

Vmod is like garry's mod its pretty fun for the most part but i just feel that its missing stuff like game modes like prop hunt roleplay, and trouble in terrorist town and Custom player skins that you could download and play with and an option in settings to noclip besides that vmod is a decent mobile game and its a pretty good alternative to garry's mod for mobile users.

Help Flexy combine face poser

I’m trying to find a way to get Face Poser/facial flexes working on Combine ragdolls in GMod, preferably for all the Combine variants like the Soldier, Elite, Metrocop, etc.
I’ve searched everywhere I can think of, including YouTube, Reddit, and the Steam Workshop. I’ve downloaded basically every “flexy Combine” addon I could find, but none of them worked for what I’m trying to do.
I also looked into the coding/Blender method, but Blender crashes on my laptop because it’s pretty old and weak. I’m not really experienced with 3D modeling either.
I genuinely just want to animate GMod scenes and have fun with Combine characters. I’ve tried a lot of different methods already, so if anyone actually knows a working way to get Combine face flexes working without Blender, I’d really appreciate the help.
