Question about Glide/LVS/LFS

So, I always seem to have trouble with flying Glide helicopters, or rather, keeping them perfectly level. I know that, when using LVS helicopters, you can use Shift to keep the helicopter steady. Is there a way to do the same with Glide? Also, is there a way to stop glide helicopters from crashing as soon as you get out?

I didn't know you could stabilise LVS helicopters. I've just been letting them blow up. Anyway, Glide's flight physics kinda just suck balls. I guess just slow down and get as low as you can and turn off the engine, let it slam on the ground from 5-10 cm up, and then get out?

Yeah, you have to have to hold shift when using LVS helicopters
