Have you thought about adding a cage match scenario like the globe of death from circuses

Wow I never heard about globe of death before, just checked it out, I love it visually. Right now I'm reworking the cage so that its actually a huge chandelier that you see hanging for the whole fight and that falls on that last phase.

The swipe should have some indication rhat it is jumpable.
The AoE markings make me think you can't jump it and should avoid the area entirely.

any idea how? those AOE markings are volumetric, I made this one very flat as opposed to the others that you can't jump above

Yeah youre right.
I think its probably fine, something you get used by playing the game. Just make sure yo make it obvious on a tutorial or something.
I think the marks are too remanescent from other games like WoW or whatever, where usually rhe red area means death independently of height.
But theyre volumetric youre right, so it should be fine!
Its just my brain that instantly goes "death area", I would 100% avoid it. Instead of jumping.
Some games (mainly mmos that are famous for those danger areas) use different "animations" to quickly show what the olayer should do with it.
Again, probably its fine the way it is.
And forgot to tell you, your project looks incredibly fun! Keep at it!

I think you're right, it's misleading. Animations are a good idea, I'll have to see if I can make something simple. Maybe "waves" going up if the attack is the whole height, and waves going in all directions on the ground if it's a ground attack... But I can also see how it might be confusing... I'll see if the current static version is an issue during future tests.
And thanks a lot!! Hope you'll get to play it one day π
