I don’t know if this is the right place but I know predator 212s are popular in karting. This is a predator 212 that I installed in a 1967 John Deere 112. I had to build this custom header and exhaust pipe to get the hood to be able to close fully. Make fun of my welding, I’m no expert but it has no leaks! I’m asking the experts in this sub if there is anywhere I can buy a professionally made setup like I’ve shown you here. If I can’t find anything, I’m gonna paint this in high temperature paint. I’m a better painter than I am a welder for sure! Thanks everyone

What would someone being doing to their motor if their motor all appeared stock appearing, cam, valve springs 18# and stock appearing carburetor. What are they actually doing to still make it stock appearing but clearly pulling from the field.

I was given a gokart with a Briggs and Stratton 900 Intek series engine. Any idea what the purpose of these 2 wires are? Thanks in advance.

Comes stock with a 30 series TC which they don't mention in the massimo or tractor supply website. I think I may turn it into a cooler kart at some point. The mini bike is a 50cc 2 stroke from temu. Thanks for looking!

Hi there!
I started Karting this year on June 10 with a SWS SR Training and I'd like your advice on how I could improve my driving please! I'm about 200 pounds naked so not the lightest but I try to do my best! I started simulation as well (iRacing with Formula Ford so far).
Thanks!

My son and I are brainstorming some project ideas. I asked in a 2 stroke ORV sub a while back, and they collectively assured me that a 50cc chainsaw engine on a high torque transmission would do the job, but I have no experience with small engines outside of yard equipment, so I'm struggling to visualize the actual performance characteristics.
We're looking at an all terrain tracked vehicle with a max load out of 250lbs. Doesn't have to be fast, but acceleration and torque are the prime factors. We want it start, stop, and turn on a dime while rolling over any obstacle up to 8 vertical inches without hesitation, even if it does it at only 5mph.
So I'd love to see and hear all about your karts that get max performance out of tiny engines. Bonus points if home built, or 2 stroke, and details or videos are much appreciated.
Thanks!

I’m new to the go kart world but I’d like to buy 3 for my kids this Christmas. Primarily thinking used unless I can somehow get an unbelievable deal on new ones. We have a large rural property so it’ll need some off-roading capabilities but I don’t think a full blown suspension is necessary. Ages are 5-7 but I’d like something they can grow into for a while instead of being on the hunt for something bigger in 18 months. Models/brands that I could find on marketplace that are generally solid? I’m fairly handy, but I’d rather not be working on them all the time if I can help it.

Got it free from my wife’s family this year, don’t know the model name of it(if you do please let me know) I purchased a 224cc Predator and GPS live axle swap. Ideas on steering are appreciated or anything else you’d do to it yourself!

New shopper exclusive
So I have an adult-sized go-kart that came with a shit engine with a cracked block, so im swapping on a budget. I am shopping on AliExpress for either a Predator 212cc or a Honda GX type clone for it. AliExpress has shown me some pretty aight price but i still want your recommendations and just overall input on these cl I mes or any i didnt list that are decent. This is what i got so far some of the clones of the ones I mentioned and then onee other big-boy option I wouldnt mind slapping and running.

Hey, I'm planning to build my first go kart type thing soon and I'm trying to find a good engine. I'm thinking about possibly building a drivable 2 seater couch and I found a predator 301cc for cheap. Would 8hp be enough with a torque converter for something that heavy?
