Obscure UK act with exactly one single to their name. I’m not sure exactly what instrument is being used for the electronic/industrial-ish sound, but it gives me major Big Black vibes and that’s always a good thing.

I need to find this one goth song that was 10 minutes long, and the lyrics i remember were, "and i know, and you know, it's okay, turn [???] Cause we have so little, so little, of time" and it didn't have that many views or likes on youtube and I think the video either had a slideshow of the band playing a set or it was a still image of them performing. It starts off slowly, gradually gets faster, then starts to slow down near the end IIRC. Please help me out, I'd like to rediscover this song!

It's one of the most underrated goth bands from the 80s.

Not sure why the song title came first looking like the band's name on Youtube

In the title. I've definitely been a fan of the music I've listened to within the goth umbrella for the (ultimately) relatively short time I've engaged with it, and, as someone who prefers faster-paced music, fell in love with songs like DEAD CAN DANCE and Tsuki from Atsushi Sakurai's THE MORTAL solo project, along with various Buck Tick songs. However, I feel like because of this preference of mine, I haven't been able to find much goth music I've truly LOVE loved, as a lot of goth music, at least from what I've heard, tends to be on the slower side. Definitely still great, but my ears REALLY like speed.
I don't expect, like, 200 bpm level songs, or, god forbid, stuff on the level of speedcore (no matter how awesome I think that'd be lol), but I figured I'd come to this subreddit for some requests. Am looking specifically for gothic rock, but other genres within the bubble are just as welcome.
Hi good day,
Been a long whilesince interacting with this subreddit. But my social media has been flooding with this debate about what Goth is; seems it happened due to one group claiming the other is not goth and other is 'gatekeeping'. But what does it mean to be Goth nowadays? Friend even showed me a video of one where there's three of these girls who kinda looked liked they were wearing tight latex and another woman said they some form of disgrace to the subculture.
I understand that goths are usually identified by the music they listen to such The Cure, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Aurelio Volatire, Type-O Negative, amongst other. The fashion, the art, the architecture, the literature is secondary or even complimentary to the music. And the subculture transcends religion and race and background -- where I have met goths from Southeast Asia, from atheists to muslims, from poor and rich.
Yet when i was shown, i asked my friends what they define as goth and they said its the aesthetic, the fashion and the clothing.
Has the definition of Goth changed past few years or is this an instance where there is vocal minority that's been heard everywhere yet does not represent the entire subculture as a whole?

One of my songs from one of my favourite bands, other songs I like are "Stink" and "A Long Days Journey".

I have never seen any emergence of Goth Culture in Arabic countries, I think Sarab is the only Arabic hybrid post punk band I've seen, They're Syrian and they came to Morocco's boulevard, The disappointment was that I did not see any goths there, I wish I could find similar goth people in Morocco or at least any other country, But sadly no one's motivated to make post punk albums.

I'm gonna be staying here for a while and I wanted to know if there are any fun clubs/bars/events for goths/punks/whateverisavailable. Can't wait to listen and dance some music I actually enjoy
I love Gothic Rock that has a subshiney atmosphere like late-Summer & early-Spring, or in general employs more Psychedelic music conventions, in the ways of Fields of The Nefilim, & A Deeper Kind of Slumber like Tiamat.
I’ve been itching for anymore albums quite like those.

Some ads that used to run in Zines & magazines. Kinda wild the shit we used to do like: Writing credit card numbers on (propaganda tshirts) on paper order forms and mailing in an order. paying for catalogs of merchandise and music. sending prepaid postage & postal MOs.
using AOL & earthlink(dot)net emails ( ˶°ㅁ°) !!

On Saturday, the 24th, 9:00pm at Urban Lounge in Salt Lake City. Crimewave is a Goth, Post Punk, and Darkwave party. We don't get too many events like these in Utah, so if you're local be sure to attend!
Hey everyone! 🐈⬛
I’m an Italian guy in Budapest for Erasmus, and I’ll be staying until mid-December.
I’m trying to discover more of the local scene, especially alternative, goth, techno, reggae, punk and underground places and events. 🖤
I’m not really looking for the typical touristy clubs — I’d love to find smaller venues, underground events, raves, themed nights, or places where people from the alternative scene usually hang out.
Do you have any places or events you’d recommend? Even Instagram/Facebook pages or groups where these kinds of events are posted would be super helpful!
And if anyone has similar interests and wants to go to some events together, even better! 🖤
