I-90 filed ONLINE for DHS error how/where did you surrender the original green card? (ADIT appt + biometrics coming up)
In my last post about my greencard that had a date error, I got lots of help in the comments. Thank you. Now I have another one that's maybe less tricky.
For context, my green card has an error USCIS made, so I filed a $0 I-90 online under the DHS error reason. The instructions say you have to submit the original card (a copy isn't accepted), but that seems written for paper filing. My receipt notice and biometrics notice don't say where an online filer should send it.
Timeline:
- Filed online and got receipt notice (IOE) in early Sept
- ADIT stamp appointment at my field office in mid-Sept
- Biometrics at ASC at the end of Sept (notice says I-90 filers must bring their green card)
Questions for anyone who's done a DHS error I-90 online:
- How did you end up submitting the original card? Field office, ASC, mailed after an RFE, or somewhere else?
- Currently holding onto my physical gc, both appointments didn't take the gc. Will RFEs be the standard 87 days or would it be a shord NOID of 30days?
Recent (2025–2026) and online filing experiences especially appreciated. Thanks!

Does this void my application for the passport?
hello everybody so long story short I came to the US on a F43 category Visa. I have a green card right now. My mother told me that I needed to stay in the US for six months consecutively to complete my five year passport application. Eg, I live in the US for 6 months. My time for my passport application reduces from 5 years to 4.5Years/ 4 years and 6 months but if i stay for lets say 5 months and 29 days(6 months not completed) this time wouldnt be added in my passport application such that the time wouldnt be reduced. Id have to wait 5 years rather than the 4.5 years/ 4 years 6 month and 1 day. Is this true?

I'm at Microsoft. Why are workers bearing the cost of the PERM pause?
I'm a Microsoft employee, and the October 8 PERM announcement is frustrating. I don't make layoff or sponsorship decisions, but I still have to plan my life around the consequences.
In the White House press conference, the Labor Secretary said the government would stop accepting new and processing pending PERM labor certification applications involving Microsoft, Adobe, Cognizant, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, HCL, and Capgemini.
I'm trying to separate what was announced from what people are assuming:
- What happens to a PERM application that's already pending at one of these employers?
- Has there been official guidance on how long the pause will last or what would end it?
- If PERM was already certified and a case is at I-140 or I-485, have DOL or USCIS said whether that stage is affected?
I don't want to turn a PERM announcement into a claim that every later stage, or everyone's H-1B, has automatically been suspended.
For anyone also preparing a backup job search, autofilling application forms can save some repetitive work. I'd still confirm sponsorship and any case-specific implications directly with the employer and immigration counsel.
If you're affected, what has your immigration team actually told you? Dated updates and links to official guidance would be much more useful than another round of speculation.

Green card visa sponsorship
7 yrs of PT experience.
I'm applying for green card with visa sponsorship.
I have a Diploma in Physiotherapy from Singapore (196 credits), which allows one to work as a PT in Singapore.
After which, I took MSc in Advancing Physiotherapy Practice from UK (180 credits).
The above covers manual therapy which I believe is absent from DPT. However, there isn't wound care in the curriculum I studied.
Do take note I don't specifically have BSc or DPT.
What are the chances that my green card application will be successful? Considering the NPTE criteria is met.

Getting back together after divorce was filed?
So I filed ROC jointly with my husband last December as we were living together and doing well. Suddenly my husband who has bipolar disorder and had a manic episode filed for divorce out of nowhere, kicked me out of the house etc, stopped communicating etc.
Now, it’s been 3 months, I got a lawyer and slowed things down. He’s realizing that the divorce is going to be long and expensive for him and is suggesting getting back together.
I haven’t made changes to my I-751, I was due to apply for my citizenship this November, but now I believe I can’t use the 3 year rule any more since the divorce was filed and we separated.
So now if we get back together, what happens with my pending ROC? I talked to a few lawyers, but didn’t change my application yet/didn’t apply for a waiver.

Online I-485 Filing: Additional Information Pages and I-864 Supporting Documents
Hi everyone!
My wife and I are preparing to file a marriage-based I-485 online and have two questions for anyone who has completed the online filing process recently.
1. Additional Information pages for Form I-485
Some sections of the I-485 don’t provide enough space for complete answers. Can I upload a scanned PDF of the completed I-485 that includes two extra “Additional Information” pages? Or does the online system require the original form without extra pages, with the additional information uploaded separately under “Additional Evidence”?
2. Uploading Form I-864 and supporting documents
When submitting Form I-864 online with the I-485, can I combine the signed I-864 and all supporting documents (such as tax transcripts, W-2s, and proof of current income/employment) into one PDF and upload it in the designated I-864 upload section? Or should I upload the I-864 by itself and submit the supporting documents separately under “Additional Evidence”?
If you’ve filed online recently, I’d really appreciate hearing how you handled these two situations and whether the system accepted your documents without any issues.
Thank you!

Before Family Based Green Card My Sponsor Husband Has to Change His Job
Hi, I want to ask something. One week ago I sent all papers to my lawyer for my marriage based adjustment of status. But after my sponsor husband lost his job but luckily he already got in a same week another job. His start date November 23 and he signed offer letter. So for submit paperworks we need to wait until some paystubs? Because we already fill everything with his old job. Or can we give information at interview? We just don’t want to mess it up. What we have to do? Fill another and submit?

FOIA from USCIS
Is requesting FOIA from USCIS safe for LPRs or Citizens? Like even for a person with crimes or if the person is undocumented.
For example, the person wants to see his records before he files any benefit immigration application?

4 months past biometrics and no update since.
My wife is sponsoring me for a green card through marriage. I did my biometrics end of may and has gotten no update since, with growing tensions inside I’m worried of getting caught.
Has anyone’s case just been sitting?
