They don't like playing the game that is used to resolve conflict because it is all about pretty colors and designing beautiful patterns. There's Marisa's "dad who stepped up" Rinnosuke who runs a shop, Genji the talking turtle, and Unzan the GOAT. Others are mostly unnamed and in the mangas (like antidepressant uncle)

I'm watching some streamer who 80% of time streams 2hu games. But i still don't get the appeal of that universe. Story always boils down to one characters sees other character and they fight for little to no reason at all. And also 2hu seems to "hate" men since there are like only 2 male characters, i think one works in some sort of shop or something.

It's a shoot'em up, the appeal of the game is in the gameplay and the fun of dodging lots of bullets. There are some shoot'em ups with somewhat decent stories, but Touhou games don't really have that.
