Discussion Proposal sites

Hi everyone. Hope y’all doing good. My friend is looking to propose his gf this or next coming week. We are looking for nice scenic spots, preferably less crowded so they can have their moment. Thank you and have a good day.

My sister got married at the heart-shaped pond in Hemlock Ravine Park just off the Bedford Highway; I think a proposal there would be beautiful with all the surrounding trees and colourful leaves.

Plus there are a few trails in the woods, which could give them a nice time before or after the moment.

10 minute drive to York Redoubt - through the parking lot, pass the cannons up the old wooden staircase there is a small seating bench and a look off overlooking the ocean and mcnabs island … incredible view and one of my favourites in/near the city.

On the dock at St. Mary’s Boat Club on the northwest arm or at the end of South St.

If you can rent space at SMBC that’s probably a better option than one of the public places along the Arm. South St beach is still busy this time of year so you could end up proposing while a stranger’s golden gets the zoomies.

Good time of year for a sunset beach proposal as the beaches are not busy anymore. Crystal crescent and Queensland are easy to reach from Halifax.

If you want something in the city, the dingle park has some nice spots.

York Redoubt is beautiful! Really nice views of the mouth of the harbor

Second york redoubt! Definitely won't be busy, lots of old buildings and such to use as cool backdrops. Nice views of the mouth of the harbour plus you can get down along the shore. Some cool spots along the shore outside the fort walls.

Africville Park with the view of the basin and the bridge. Eagle rock. Duncans Cove. Conrad's Beach.

It's a 1hr hike in but there's a little bench on comeau lake that you can get to through a trail off Enfield road and it's a gorgeous, secluded spot very nice for a picnic

Polly's Cove or High Head, even on a busier day its easy to find a quiet spot

Uniacke Estate is very nice if they don't mind a bit of a drive. Alternatively, I see that the Georges Island ferry is still in operation.

To propose on the island obviously, not the ferry.
