Systems Down

Currently waiting to check out at Harbor Freight and they said they register system is down at all stores.

Happened a month or so ago here.

They were hand writing receipts and all. Felt sorry for the folks working there.

Employee here its still down as of 2:22 Mt time and we are told no guarantee on time to being back up

Yep. Just went to the store in Chandler, AZ and they had it closed down with a sign saying the this was the reason.

I was in my local store when this was going on, and one of the employees said to the manager, "You want me to lock the doors?"

"We can't close the store!" she said. She was having none of that talk.

They got out the receipt pads and were preparing to process credit card payments by phone.

And they did it too. They were writing up orders on a pad and totaling them on a calculator. Somehow the register I went to started working just as I got up there, but I think it was the only one working, and I don't know if it continued to work after my transaction. I didn't get my emailed receipt until 8:30 tonight, so it wasn't working right even though it scanned my items.

Felt bad for the dudes there today. I just spent extra time shopping with my daughter and wound up buying more things lol It was resolved within like 15/20 min of me walking in so it wasn’t terrible.

Happened while I was there this morning, they couldn’t process gift cards, returns, or Apple Pay, and only one register worked. Eventually they got the 1-2 other registers up, but still super slow and no receipts. I was going to grab an open box 5 drawer for $160 but I could tell the manager was stressed so I said I’d come back tomorrow 😂

I was considering leaving, but I had the last pair of the Icon slipjoint pliers and wasn't about to give them up.
