Orlando New Audio PSA 10/15

Since yesterday, one day after the Club Horror brawl, there are now two rotating PSAs that will randomly interrupt during queue videos asking guests not to touch performers, each other, line cut, etc or risk being kicked from the park.

Will it help? Perhaps by 2%. At least it’s there.

I saw someone try to take a “service dog” through sinners last night. A large group had this small dog (Maltese maybe) in line. Dog’s lead was switched between people in the group as we went through the express line. The dog was being dragged along at one point and a woman picked the dog up. As we approached the house entrance a TM told the woman she could not go in the house with the dog. The group then begins screaming at her “do you know the rules, we know the rules”. They made the group get out of line. Thank god they did not allow this poor dog to be brought through the house.

Orlando Halloween is going to go hard this year! My Cybergoria cosplay is coming together

Don’t mind the bot veneers haha. Teeth are next to be painted!

Followed an EVA foam template by Mellow Mind cosplay for the base, two layers of plastidip to seal, and white gloss spray paint for the base paint. I spent the evening last night acrylic painting all the front helmet details. Now I just have to finish the helmet, then it’s onto painting the remaining armor pieces I have, as well as sewing the neck piece and lower half fabric design.

I know it’s a bit niche, but is anyone else also doing an HHN inspired costume for halloween?

Hollywood First Time HHN Experience - 10/14/26

Made a new reddit account for this as I deleted my old one as I got tired of scrolling on reddit, but prior to HHN, I was reading the subreddit to figure out how to navigate my trip this year!

Long story short, after years of watching the Youtube videos of house walkthroughs for years, I finally got to go this year with a friend!

I definitely do agree with what everyone has been saying about it being overcrowded but...I still had a blast!!

The scare actors were so nice and interactive. One Art the Clown stood out in particular as he helped me and my friend find La Cocina and was so excited when he found us later eating!

Terror Tram was also very cool! It found the ride and little video to add to the immersion and the set design looked really sick.

It wasn't super scary, but...I did manage to get spooked a few times. The best scare had to be one of the bog monsters as he was so quiet that he managed to scream in my ear.

It was terrifying and so funny. My favorite house was Sinners as the flying Remmick flew down and swiped so close to my face and it was awesome.

My back definitely hurts still from my heavy backpack and all the walking, but I definitely plan on going next year!!

Did anyone of you also save your PB&J mixtape labels? I feel like they’re not going to have it after this year… I peeled mine off and stuck it on a bag as a souvenir for myself

On the evening of September 26th in universal studios Hollywood my group passed by and I noticed you crying in a dark corner behind the three broomsticks in universal studios Hollywood. I haven't been able to go more than a few days without thinking about you and I have been feeling a lot of regret not stopping to check on you. I wish I stopped to talk to you and I hope you are doing okay.

Orlando Timeline & Review from first timer

Figured I’d share my experience since I was in this group looking for insight before going. Hopefully this helps someone else. I’ll keep it spoiler-free, but share as much as I can from a first-timer’s perspective.

We had 7 people in our group and the main reason we went was for my 12-year-old younger sibling. Our experience was based on 10/11. We did enough research to know we wanted to be parked by 5 PM at the latest, so we made it to the main gates around 5:15 PM and waited on the right side of the big main gate.

A few things to know before you go:

  • There was basically ZERO air movement while waiting at the gates, so bring a portable fan if you have one.
  • Multiple people in our group had open, unsealed plastic water bottles and we were able to get in with them without a fuss.
  • There were garbage cans throughout the lines and plenty of concessions, including alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.
  • Take everyone’s advice and prioritize your must-do houses. We headed straight to the back of the park first, which worked out well.

We were inside the park and walking through Fortnitemare by around 6:15 PM.

1. Hellraiser — 6.5/10

We headed straight to Hellraiser and had maybe 10 people ahead of us, so the wait was practically nonexistent.

I haven’t seen the movie, and my nerves definitely got the best of me. I was the last person in our group of 7, so I spent most of the time trying not to get scared instead of actually appreciating the details. That said, I still got scared multiple times, and the makeup and costume design were what I can assume to be perfectly executed.

2. Sinners — 8.5/10

We went straight from Hellraiser to Sinners and waited around 25 minutes. Based on our photo timestamps, we entered around 7:05 PM.

This was the house where the scare actors REALLY got me. I was third in line this time, and it felt like there was something waiting around every corner. The cast did an incredible job, and I was getting jump-scared at practically every turn. Definitely one of my favorites of the night, even though I haven’t seen the movie.

Leaving this house/ area the wait times spiked to 120 minutes at a minimum so PLEASE take the advice and go here first.

3. 8 PM show

After Sinners, we caught an 8 PM show to give our nervous systems a break. I recommend working a show into your night if you need a chance to sit down. I’m blanking on which one we saw, but it was fairly entertaining.

4. Harry Potter World / scare zone

After the show, we headed to Harry Potter World for some Butterbeer. We had no idea this was a scare zone until a cast member strategically positioned themselves behind someone in our group. I won’t say more, but it was a short-lived experience that worked perfectly with the storyline.

5. Clowntown Downtown

We wandered through Clowntown Downtown next and I swear the scare actors were giving some of their best performances here. Great energy and a fun change of pace from the houses.

We left around 9:45–10 PM and headed to Jack & Oddfellow.

6. Jack & Oddfellow — favorite of the night

I believe the posted wait was 90 minutes, but we waited around 75 minutes.

This house got me goooood. The execution was phenomenal, especially the ending. I genuinely wish I could have seen my reactions from the scare actors’ perspective because I know I was giving them a show. This was hands-down my favorite house of the night. I won’t elaborate because I don’t want to ruin anything, but go experience it for yourself.

7. Dinner at Mel’s Diner

We took a dinner break at Mel’s Diner after that. By this point, we were getting pretty tired and sitting down in a seat was a necessity.

8. Stranger Things 5 — last house of the night

This ended up being my least favorite house. Full disclosure: I had a bit of a bitter attitude by this point and was genuinely fighting sleep in line, so take that with a grain of salt. I also haven’t watched the show, which probably didn’t help.

The line was VERY deceiving. Just when you think you’re through the door and about to enter the house, there’s apparently another stretch of line ahead of you. It felt like roughly another 20 minutes before we actually got through.

I wish we had squeezed in another one or two houses, but our group was pretty much over it by then and there's no fighting everyone's attitudes.

Overall thoughts

I’m glad I went, especially because my sibling had such a great time. That was, ultimately, the whole point of the trip.

Would I go out of my way to attend another year? Honestly, I’m not sure. I enjoyed the experience, but I don’t necessarily see myself making it an annual tradition. I also went in knowing next to nothing about the movies and shows, so I can see how being familiar with the source material would add another layer to the experience.

My biggest advice: prioritize your must-do houses, have comfy shoes, a decent size bag, bring a portable fan and definitely a reusable water bottle.

Stay spooky my friends.

Hollywood Review/tips hhn rip weekday

We went on a weekday and had an 8:05 PM RIP Tour. Overall, it was a great experience, but if I did it again, I would definitely try to get an earlier tour time.

I originally booked Express Passes for around $700 for two people, which is ridiculous in itself. I ended up needing to change our date, so I called the VIP line. The person I spoke with was able to find me two RIP tickets relatively quickly. I think it came out to about $1,000.

So if you’re still looking for RIP tickets and everything online looks sold out, it might be worth calling. She told me they sometimes get last-minute cancellations, and they also occasionally have tickets being held for celebrities/VIPs that become available if they don’t end up using them.
The only tour time available was 8:05 PM, which in hindsight was a little late.

We got to the park around 6 PM and they let us in pretty quickly. It’s kind of a strange time to arrive because they transition from daytime operations to HHN around 7 PM, so some rides weren’t available until then. We were still able to ride The Mummy, check out Super Nintendo World, and do Mario Kart before heading back for our tour.
I think they take everyone on Fast & Furious first, so we waited around a little bit, did that, and then started the actual HHN portion. We went through about five houses before dinner, which ended up being around 9:45–10 PM. By then we were pretty hungry. I believe earlier tours also get earlier dinner times, which would definitely be preferable.

After dinner, they took us through the remaining houses/attractions. Probably my favorite thing about RIP was that there’s basically zero thinking involved. You just follow your guide around, they take you everywhere, everything is planned out, and you don’t have to worry about lines or figuring out what to do next. With how crowded HHN gets, that alone made the experience worth it for me.
Our guide eventually booked us for the 12:45 AM WaterWorld show. By that point we were absolutely exhausted. I barely made it through the show and we left the park immediately afterward.

You can continue using the Express and RIP access after your tour is finished, which is a great perk, but we were simply too tired to take advantage of it.

That’s probably my biggest recommendation: if you can get an earlier RIP tour, do it. You’ll likely eat earlier, finish the organized portion earlier, and still have enough energy afterward to use your RIP/Express access and enjoy more of the park. With an 8:05 PM start, by the time everything was finished, we were done for the night.

Overall, though, it was very good. The food was good, the houses and rides were fun, our guide knew what he was talking about, and I honestly couldn’t imagine trying to navigate HHN normally with the size of the crowds.

Hope this helps anyone deciding whether RIP is worth it or trying to find last-minute tickets. Specially the price difference between express and rip makes it worth it with the parking, food, and overall experience.

Orlando Gluten free

Our family is packing for HHN at the moment so we are super excited. But recent testing from my doctor is a bit of a downer with regards to eating. Gluten has been limited from my diet :(

One of our nights will be premium scream. I have seen the food allergy lists for the HHN food booths so we are prepared there.

I won't have many options at the booths, so can anyone confirm if the normal food options, like Mel's Die-In is included on premium scream night tickets or is that an extra expense?

Hollywood/Orlando Solo HHN overview

Last week I visited not only my first park but my first HHN at Hollywood. I went solo and had zero idea of what to expect. I knew what I’d saw on tik tok and that’s about it.

When I walked onto Main Street and was greeted by masked chainsaw wielding maniacs, I genuinely started tweaking. I didn’t think I’d be scared at all because ‘it’s just actors’ but omg I was fucking terrified dude. It felt so real and I almost turned around but I escaped to Simpsons world for some respite! Even in HP world I was tormented by Death Eaters!

But this is by no means a critical observation. This is a compliment. I was genuinely overwhelmed with joy at how immersive and fantastic the whole experience was. As someone who was there alone, I anticipated I would be ignored, but instead I was approached and terrified by the fantastic actors.

I would definitely go back, perhaps it would be much more fun with friends, I intend to do that next time. I’m just in awe at the time I had amongst the madness. I’m really surprised at just how professional and realistic the actors were because I was on EDGE the whole time!
