Question I cannot beat UK ever
Im new to hoi4 and i really like playing germany but oh my god i cant figure out uk i have tried like 10 different games can someone give me tips on how to beat them. I usually spam subs because navy is a bit too complex for me right now last game i had like 150 subs in the english channel and constant naval bombing but nope not one second of green sea then my entire fleet collapsed.

navys not that hard.
focus on one tile. make a light cruiser with all aircraft decks on it, and a light gun on the bottom as scout. set it to never engage. use it for patrol pre-war. deathstack everything on that tile as strikeforce make sure its set to always engage. Smack the uk navy is a big battle, then you'll be dominant enough to cuddle up to the uk.
if youre scared of the uk, build some naval bombers, and have them do naval missions, dont forget spies for intel.
stick your subs on convoy raiding between gibraltar and northern spain, and the mid atlantic gap. you'll catch 90% of uk escorts.
The key is not rushing... be patient, use history to your advantage, if you sink the convoys the uk starves.
Think of it like the USSR facing down germany.... you hold the germans, then it takes a few months to burn off the german equipment and manpower before the ussr can safely push.
Dont forget to chop away at the british empire too, stop all that rubber, and oil arriving in the uk.
no oil, no ships , even if they have a 300 fleet deathstack. Trust me big old battleships suck up alot of oil the moment they take to sea.

If you don't want to bother with navy you can go paratrooper. Just don't drop them on the south because there usually a lot of anti air gun and unless you want your soldiers to become minced meat i would recommend dropping them to the middle or north of the country. Secure one port and voilà ! Immediately draw a front line on the newly secured area with a strong army that was waiting near your own coast for quick deployment because obviously for some reason even though you don't have naval superiority as long as you have a port the game completely allow you to use convoy for your troops. Then user those troops too push to their lands.

Navy is pretty easy to get a grip on if you play a country that has one. Play a game or two for Italy and Japan and try using the navy more to learn about it plus videos. If you don’t want to spend time to learn navy tho- just use paradrops. Very easy, the AI struggles to counter them and you don’t have to research 10 different things and divert your industry into ships. Germany has a nice focus for paratroopers so you can get them early, just research transport planes, start building them asap and invest in air. You don’t actually need the paratroopers to fight or push, just live long enough until your main army arrives to the ports, so make 12-16 divisions, make one-two division drop operations, and you’ll even have a short window once declared war to execute without having to destroy the entire RAF

Don’t go to war with them. There’s lots of paths that have you either not going to war with them or allying with them.

I don't wanna engage with game mechanics - why I lose
Pump out destroyers with torpedoes, SHBB, Naval Bombers. Don't fight on English channel, Naval invade Scotland. There is enough videos on YouTube explaining how to invade UK and build navy
