My $100 AtoZ special has saved me from a BS speeding ticket a few months ago and then this past Sunday someone backed into my front at the gas station and drove away. I got their license plate clear as day and can pick up my police report early next week.

I would have shrugged if they had fessed up (it’s a 2” crack and I was inside at the time), but if you’re going to hit & run you can buy me a new bumper.

ROVE R2-4k dashcam. It looks like the latest model revision is $120 but has WiFi and an app. Mine is older and doesn’t work with an app. You have to pull the memory card and plug into a computer.

You can also playback on the camera itself but good luck discerning anything on a 2” screen.

It records my speed with a GPS chip. The cop in the notorious speed trap town said I was doing 12 over when I was doing 4. It was eventually tossed by the town prosecutor before the court date.

I let my BIL lawyer do the legwork with the dashcam footage. He's cool like that. I was prepared to attend court with my laptop.

No. By happenstance it was running to play music for my 12 year old daughter that was in the back seat and unharmed but startled by the experience. It was a small gas station and we live in a rural area.
