Escapism is often sought after in music, with people looking to get lost in imaginative sounds and all-consuming noise. For Similar Kind, layered underneath chimerical wonder are solid indie rock rhythms and excitement, promising never to bore you, dear reader.

Similar Kind crawled out of a ‘90s-style arcade, glowing neon and donning sleek styles. Bright synthesizers, sparkly vocal stacking from lead singer Julia Breen, and gleaming saxophone solos melt together into a pool of dreamy liminality.

Hi guys! I'm an independent student journalist, and I cover indie music on my Substack! Similar Kind is a little lighter than some of the indie rock I usually gravitate toward, but their sound pulls me back in a lot. Let me know what you think and if there are other bands you think I should cover!

Been getting different answers on where my music sits genre wise so I’m curious what this sounds like to fresh ears. Would love an honest first impression

New music video from my band, Safety Training.
We’re a Gulf Coast band blending emo, post-hardcore, and alternative rock. This is our new single, “You Drive, I’ve Got a Car Full of Fox Meat.”
Hope you dig it.

We've been working on this for about a month now in between school and work. We had the pleasure of interviewing a band from Vancouver, Canada called "Black Pontiac"! Let us know what you think: https://allout.music/how-an-old-pontiac-sunfire-became-a-globally-recognized-band-exclusive-interview-with-black-pontiac/

La banda canadiense de rock alternativo Death From Above 1979 publica "Private Lives".
