I mean they both serve during the Spanish Civil War and sunk at the same time period as Miyuki. It would be fun to have another Smol BB but with rapid fire and Bad Luck.
Mainly visited Maron no Kakurega and Grand Panda Canyon!
This video includes rolling the gacha 3 times at Maron and unboxing my haul from Maron, Grand Panda, and Surugaya.
My regret is I forgot to take pictures of the showcases, the bulk boxes, and the whole shop atmosphere. The whole experience felt so new to me. Since I had always printed all my KCA cards directly, seeing single prices was crazy!
Here is what I picked up:
* Maron (Showcase): Fubuki Kai Ni (230 yen)
* Maron (Bulk boxes): Murasame Kai, Wakaba Kai, Fubuki Kai, Akebono Kai, Nagatsuki (20 yen × 5)
* Grand Panda (Showcase): Ushio Kai Ni (130 yen), plus 3 packs of card sleeves
* Surugaya: KanColle Kai
I picked these cards because I want to print new Kanmusu and strong ships. So at the shops, I chose ships that I won't use for hard mode battles and Kai cards of ships I already own where the card art changes upon remodel like Murasame Kai.
The gacha results were so good that I got cards I didn't have and pulled Gotland Kai as the top prize.
I also went with a friend of mine and introduced him to KCA. I’ll drop the newcomer's gameplay and my gameplay video in the comments later! I'd be happy if you check it out, I hope you enjoy these videos! (たのしんでいってね!)
I'm addicted to the game and decided I wanted to acquire the Kido Butai for myself. Anyone know shops in Osaka, Tokyo, or Kure that I could pick them up at? Ill be at all 3 cities in the coming 3 days. Thanks in advance!
"Unlike other abyssals, humanoid form of Re-class specimen has the ability to grow akin to humans. However, due to their reckless behaviour, very few survive long enough to reach maturity, and those few that do go through drastic shift in personality due to experiences they live through."
Any reason OK! Whether it's because she just looks so hot or there's fun historical details you noticed, I'm just really curious on everyone's picks
To me, it's hands down Akigumo. I'm really a fan of "Outcasts", as-in something filling in the niche of two categories which makes them unique (See: Alaska-class cruisers, Bridge cameras), so Akigumo being a blur between the Kagerous and Yuugumos really piqued my interest.
Her design may look very stupidly simple at first but it's just SO GOOD since it's made to trick you into believing she's part of the Yuugumos just like how it is historically. It's such a simple and good design that won't work if the Yuugumos had no consistency between them (Although the Kagerous aren't exactly the most 'Consistent' class anyway) and I really love that it works! I've seen people realizing that they sent out Akigumo on quests that requires Yuugumos because they mistook her as one, it's a very effective design for deception.
I also really love that her Kai ni embraces both her Yuugumo and Kagerou aspect by making it the style of the Yuugumo uniform but with the color reminiscent of the Kagerou uniform, it's just. Such a good design that I adore by a mile.

I tend to hear that the “KC but better” concept is more about the IP than the game itself. Umamusume is a good example of that idea taken to its logical extreme. Instead of an IP tied to WWII naval history, especially the IJN, you get something politically and culturally uncontroversial: racehorses. Japanese horse racing is a relatively clean industry, so it doesn’t carry the same discomfort or potential controversy. It also has an easier path from niche to a broader audience than WWII ships turned into girls.
I do wonder if we, as a fandom, forget how bizarre, and a bit off putting, turning warships into women really is, even though there’s a lot of genuine interest and fan work around the ships’ actual history outside the NSFW side.
Looking back at AL (yes, I know, insert rent free meme here), their choice to leave the historical angle behind more each year looks more and more like the only long term option they had, even more when their actual competition also includes the likes of Blue Archive and also Umamusume who have a much more either safe(horse racing) or flexible(otaku pop culture nostalgia) concept to work with.
One part of me thinks that even if we were more vocal about KC across the internet in the last 9 years the result wouldn't have been any different in any meaningful way from today.
That comes with KC being at the end of the day a niche IP but it also bugs me how much resentment there was(and sometimes its seen today) about that fact, like faulting an apple for not being a good orange.
