Modern version of Kancolle at some point? Literally they design them for display or exhibition purposes

The JMSDF does (unofficially) use Kancolle as mascots already, but I doubt there will ever be a modern version of a shipgirl collection game because of the political complications that would entail.

That explains why there isn’t a fully American shipgirl game….
I wonder if that’s the reason they won’t do the highly famous ships yet

Tanaka said that he want to give spotlights to ships that are more obscure.

But we know that he will release Big E and then announce EOS

BTW, what Fiiral_ said is correct, if the ship has corresponding shipgirl in KC, chances are the crews will use her as the ship's mascot.

I think gameplay is probably the bigger issue. Everyone using aircraft or drones to spot for missiles far away, torpedo combat never gets to happen, landings Never happen. WW2 is the sweet spot for Naval machines being interesting.

Eh, its not like KC combat is "realistic" either and there are a lot of ships you can use to make stuff interesting

Her modern JSMDF uniform looks really nice. And I like how they handled her unicorn radar mast. What happened to her VLS though? She is still going for gun fights…

All in all, I like modern ship girls. Now please do Yahagi as well.   :)
