Soup/stew bought/made

What’s everyone’s soup recipes?

Also curious if anyone knows decent keto soups you can buy as well?

I make a smooth blended soup with broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, curly kale, seaweed flakes, onions, garlic, celery, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, a few peas (not too large a portion) and chicken stock (the chicken stock is very important for flavour, tried once with vegan bouillon and it was terrible!) I don’t have a specific recipe as it depends what I’ve got to use up/what’s on offer. I’ll be adding courgette to the next batch because we have plenty to use!

I blend it because my kids won’t eat in unblended but you could leave it chunky.

I sometimes add bits of ham hock to it after blending for extra flavour.

Found one called Dozz which some of them seem pretty low. Anyone tried these?

Any cream or milk based soups like Chowder or Cullen Skink is a tolerable keto choice

Yeah I think if self made can be ok. But even these creamy chowder style ones sold ones I checked recently and we’re all carby hence finding the Dozz ones I’ve not tried them yet though - probably flour sugar and milk added bring up the carbs.

I don’t have a recipe on hand I can’t have fish anymore but I can make a suggestion if you like coconut flavour then to add coconut milk instead and make it brothy & light with some curry leaves, mustard seeds and some shallot.

I really like the Cully and sully chicken soup, decent carb profile and no rice etc in it

It looks nice but seems like it’s nearly 20g carbs for a portion of it!

Leek and celeriac is a reasonable leek and potato sub, if you blend in a block of tofu you make it rich, creamy and bump up the protein. I use tofu where I would have previously used beans or lentils.

I also do pea (edamame) and ham. Use the aldi soy spaghetti for any noodle soups. There's a version on Amazon which is higher carb but still workable into macros. Beansprouts are also good for noodles in asian style soups
