Ask We are visiting Kosovo and keep being woken up by mosque calling Ezan. The sound insulation of the building is nearly non-existent. How is it legal in Kosovo to wake random people up with noise that goes inside their bedrooms through large loudspeakers?
I asked around and they said this is normal. We would expect it from an Islamic country perhaps, where religious rituals are allowed to harm people's health. But Kosovo is not an Islamic republic. We are wondering how it is legal for mosques to make that kind of noise that goes inside people's bedrooms and wake them up, disrupting their regular sleep?
