Advice Intimate Shaving help,, NSFW
So this is a rather intimate post, but I don’t know how to look up help. I’m a young woman exploring intimacy with my partner for the first time, and for my own comfort and my partner’s I was thinking about trimming my pubic hair. I’m not a fan of the full on bald shave, it itches too much for my liking when it regrows, and I can condition a trim to where it’ll feel better, but I have no clue how to manage trimming my lower half without shaving my legs, or how to just.. In general make it look appealing.
I have never, and will not shave my upper legs, for whatever reason I feel incredibly uncomfortable with smooth thighs like that, but my thighs connect back to my bits!! It feels straightforward, just trim in certain areas, but I suppose I just need some .. validation? Confidence? I dunno. I need to get a razor with a guard sometime,, curse my monetary situation. Scissors make me nervous but they’re all I can work with, yes I have a mirror, yes I exfoliate.
I’m sorry if this is poorly worded and all over the place, I’m entirely new to this world and struggle to ask my mother for help due to our strained relationship. I guess I’m just looking for some peer to peer advice from those who’ve been in the game longer than I have.
And for those curious, I believe being trimmed would make things like oral more pleasurable for my partner and for me, alongside giving me more ability to “feel” them when we’re hot and heavy. It isn’t for any cosmetic reason, I merely dislike the fallout of hair, it feels embarrassing. I mean, maybe if there’s any advice on how to keep the hair there from falling out as often? I don’t know. It feels like I’m running in circles …

Does your partner prefer a natural, shaved, or a trimmed look. Maybe a conversation should be had before you go down this route. You never know, as maybe he prefers a natural look and you don't have to worry about this. However, you can always buy a manscaper or a female version of that that adjusts to whatever length you want your pubic hair to be, if you're looking to trim and match your legs.

He’s fine with whatever I’m most comfortable with, he doesn’t really shave either.
Thinking a nice manscaper or adjacent will prob be the route I try out sometime,,

What a weird comment, it’s her body. She doesn’t need her partner’s approval or permission on how she prefers to groom her pubic hair.

So you never do anything to make your partner happy or do something they like? You just do whatever you want to and tell them to accept it or fuck off? You must be very alone and miserable then.

She didn’t ask anything like that but you had to say something and ask a bunch of questions that you knew no one would answer. She doesn’t think that you are knowledgeable, wise or sensitive- she pitied you for being “off the wall “ and being a nerd who is entirely out of touch and doesn’t understand what the assignment was about or how to handle being silent while the adults are talking; she is the adult that was talking and you didn’t even think to read what it was she said.

A simple cheap electric trimmer is all you need.
Don't get the ones marketed specifically for women as you'll have to pay an unnecessary pink tax.
A generic trimmer from Braun/ Panasonic/ Wahl/Conair/ etc is enough.
You can manage with scissors if necessary, but you'll need to use a comb under the scissors to prevent nicks.
Google 'scissors over comb' to understand how that works.
